How are you all doing today? I hope this week has been an awesome one for you!

I am working, working, working. My co-worker is currently on holiday so I am doing Monday's straight through, Saturday off work and back in on Sunday's. Good thing I love my job!

I don't expect I will get to paint for the next two or three weeks – if I can, amazing. If not.. well I already assume that so I wont get stressed out.

Today's nail art is one I wasn't sure about posting, there are some things in this manicure I couldn't stop seeing (minor mistakes that bugged me to no end) but I decided I will share it because on after thought it reminded me of something. PUPPIES IN MY POCKET!! Does anyone remember those tiny little plastic dogs? There was so so many to collection.

Puppies in my pocket, as cute as can be, I wanna take them all home with me! Haha.

I hope you are all having an awesome start to your week. Have you been up to anything exciting?

On Thursday my store hosted a beauty gala event which was so much fun, We had loads of people come in with their tickets and enjoy make overs, refreshments, discounts across cosmetics and fragrance. It was so much fun to be apart of.

Did you know that June 12^th is red rose day? I love discovering all these little quirky days of the year! June 12^th just so happens to be my mothers birthday too so putting the two together seemed like an awesome idea and little tribute.

I absolutely adore my mother, I know everyone says that but without her I wouldn't be here (and not just because she gave me life!) She's supported me through the years in every way possible, through my teenage years when I suffered deep depression and self harm, she never lots her patience with me. She's encouraged me and nurtured my creative side and is one of the kindest people I know. She'll always go out of her way for people and has a wonderful heart. Thank you Skeebab.

How're you all doing today? Did you have an awesome weekend? I hope you got up to something fun, or even just spent time recharging your batteries.

I had the day off on Saturday and I had a really relaxing day. I had intended to paint in the morning but I just wasn't feeling it so instead I used the time to have a good tidy up, do some reading, do some 'homework' for work and sort out my blog posts. In the afternoon I went with my sister, mum and niece and nephew to help my sister get some plants for her garden. Overall it was just a really lovely chilled out day.

I'm working every Sunday now but I actually rather like it. I can be surprisingly busy but when its not it feels quite calm and I crack on with some dusting or organising. I've started packing my tablet and notebook so that if I miss the bus and need to wait an hour for the next one I can go grab a coffee somewhere and do some blog scheduling, brain storming and general organisation.

I've another landscape for you today, my favourite type of painting. I feel like its becoming harder and harder to come up with landscape ideas, I can't possibly have done everything, can I?

Anyway, get ready for super chill vibes - Also did you know the June is camping month?

How are you all doing today? I hope you had a fantastic weekend filled with sunshine. I sure enjoyed mine, I was due a little work break. I enjoyed taking my niece and nephew to the park, frolicking in the sun. I finally had some time to sit down and paint – I think painting is one of those things that relaxes me so it felt good to have a little time out from everything else.

Did you watch the royal wedding?! Oh my god.. I am such a sucker. As soon as Meghan was out of the car I welled up at the sight of her dress. I don't think I'll ever get married myself and that's fine but I still love to see the dresses and the loving looks the bride and groom exchange. What a softie, huh?

Anyway, lets move on to some nail art, I could chatter about all sorts all day long otherwise!

Today's nail art is inspired by the current theme over at Tiny Canvas which is seahorses, you may remember this design I did a while ago.. I wanted to do something better.

I can't participate in all the challenges any more due to work – and the fact that the themes are now voted by the members which means I don't know what theme it will be in advance. You guys know how organised I am and how I like to plan my posts. Having a theme and having to do it in three days if I am working is just too much pressure. Still. I got this one done!

How are you all doing today? I hope your week has been going well so far, not long until the weekend now! I have to say it feels really weird posting on a Thursday, I have been in my Monday, Wednesday, Friday blogging pattern for so long that changing it up has felt so bizarre.

If you didn't know I've now switched to twice a week. Content wise I am covered until the end of June (almost!) but I will be working on Sundays soon and I wanted to make things both easier and more organised for myself. Since Sunday is normally a painting day for me I have freed up a little time so I can paint on my days off without worrying about running out of things to post. Does that make any sense? I feel I am typing in circles and dribbling on!

Today the soot sprites are back! The other day My Neighbour Toroto came on TV, I'd seen it before but its just so cute! When I painted this I was really lacking ideas and motivation, I wanted to paint a freehand design without the commitment of painting all my nails so this idea gave me a little bit of both, fun painting time with an edge of laziness.

How are you all doing today? I hope your week is going well. I'm working most of this week – means I get Saturday off, wahoo! I'm already trying to work out what I'll be painting on my days off although when it actually comes to it I find my oompf is lacking. Just like on Sunday, I started painting some beach hut nails and I just couldn't make myself finish it. My heart wasn't in it..

But today I have some cute little soot sprites to share with you, I used to love Studio Ghibli films such as Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away.. And I always thought those little soot sprites were so cute! So I've captured them!

Dodo Island - Freehand Nail Art Design

How are you all doing today? I hope your week is going well. Today I'm back to work this afternoon which means I can have a pretty chilled morning, have a nice bubble bath and get ready in leisure. Although I really enjoy the longer work shifts, the day feels like it goes faster and there's a longer break. I really can't manage to make a cup of tea, eat and do anything else in fifteen minutes. Do you always get the same amount of time on your breaks if you work? I'm not complaining though, I love working!

Now... I'm going to share something really special with you but you have to promise to keep it a secret, ok? You've all been lead to believe that the beautiful dodo is extinct but that's not quite true. Here is a cave on Dodo Island where you can see with your own eyes that dodo's are all good and well!

Why must it remain a secret? If you look closely at the cave walls you'll see speckles of gold. Dodo island is literally crammed with gold everywhere. If we spread the word before long the miners, gold collectors, criminals will come to the island and destroy the peaceful habitat of the dodo's..

So we let them keep this island the way it is, they live in families and tend to prefer caves although if you walk along the beach you'll see so many of the youngsters playing together.

This week I plunged myself back into fitness fully, I figure since I have free time why not crunch those steps and crack on with it. I hadn't stopped as such but my fitness tracker broke. I have replaced it and somehow the level of self competition stepped up, fun!

How are you all doing? Happy Hump day to you, say they say.

I sure hope you guys are doing better than me, I've done so well not to receive and colds or flu in about a year, I think. This week.. not so lucky. My niece and nephew came over for lunch on Sunday and decided to leave Auntie Ithi the awesome gift of a cold – by Sunday night it was taking hold. Besides that everything else is going well, I'm still job hunting (there just isn't much going..) but in the mean time I am working on future posts so I will have plenty to post when I can start working again.

Today's manicure is one you might not expect, sometimes I just don't feel like painting freehand – a good example of that is feeling poorly so I decided a little while ago to make myself some decals, decals are great for when you want easy nail art but are short on time as you can make them before and the application is pretty easy once you've done it a few times.

Today's nail art is aptly timed for the current theme over on Tiny Canvas where the prompt this week is Sunset nails. I painted these in December and I kind of liked the unearthly, unnatural look of this landscape. Its so sort of minimalistic that is perhaps looks a little apocalyptic?

I've had a pretty full week but that's great because it means I am learning the ropes quicker so to speak. Tomorrow I plan on doing very little, haha! I've had no time to paint (until today, wahoo!) We had our black Friday sale yesterday and it was busier than I had imagined. I feel like I am settling in well now, I make a few hiccups on the til when I am given vouchers but I am getting there – and enjoying it for the most part!

Today's nail art is one I had been excited to share with you as I thought it turned out pretty cute. It is back on my old nail shape (it's sort of frustrating me to keep seeing it) but we'll focus on the nail art!

Today's nail art comes with a little secret. While I've been working out hard and keeping up with all the healthy lifestyle changes I made recently.. sometimes while I am painting and working on blog post creations I take a little pause for coffee and biscuit time.

Its the perfect break when I am working on a really intricate and lengthy design. You gotta enjoy some things, right?

So today I have for you some 3D cookies on an equally dotty base! Funnily enough Maryland Cookie's started following me recently over on Twitter. I wonder if they'll approve of this nail art!

Baaaha you guys, I had this idea in my head and I really wanted to make it come true. Before the comments come in about how disgusting this is I just want to remind you that this is really more of an extreme 3D nail art, I would never wear this on a daily basis or for casual wear! I wanted to create something that was simply interesting to look at.

This survived on my nails for all of 10 minutes. I hated the feel of it! Even my cat gave me a disappointing look upon inspection!

How are you all doing today? I hope you had a great week but yay for the weekend, am I right? I hope you'll have a great weekend, be it a chilled or busy one.

Still no news on getting my passport back, the likeliness of doing this course seems to be dimming a little but I'm thinking about the 'what if's' just in case. Even if I can't start the course in November I'll still need to be doing something in terms of work or training.

Anyway! Back to another Tiny Canvas theme prompt, this weeks challenge I picked because the 12^th of September is video game day and I thought the members would have so many possible ideas for this theme.

I myself decided to go for a scramble with this nail art. A bit of everything!

Freehand Back To School Nail Art

I hope you are all doing wonderfully today, my loves?

Monday was a bank holiday here, so everyone was off of work. We went down to Exmouth in Devon and had a beautiful sea-side day! We went on the beach, paddled in the sea. Had a lunch out, went to the amusement arcades and had ice cream. EVEN ME! I normally have to be so careful about what I eat as my stomach condition is triggered by stress but I've been so much better since I came home.. so even I had an ice cream when I'd normally miss out!

As we polish off August and head into September, what better time to crack out the 'Back to School' nail art?

The final Tiny Canvas for this month is indeed back to school.

Pencil cases replenished, back packs filled. Pencils sharpened and thinking caps on! I decided to combine a few different things for my design, of course all the basic necessities of the classroom and a healthy snack! Are any of my readers heading back to school soon? I hope you will have a fabulous term!

Freehand Abstract Nail Art With 3D Elements

How are you all doing today? Can you believe we all climbed to the top of the week and now we're all sliding down the weekend slide?! Wahoooo. I hope you all have something fun planned.

After a week of feeling a little up and down and banging my head against the wall I *may* have found a college course for nails! It seems perfect, 1 night a week for 16 weeks to get a lvl 2 certificate. Wahoo, I hope luck is on my side and it is possible!

This month in Tiny Canvas the weekly challenges are all thought of my moi, I had fun coming up with themes I thought everyone would enjoy. I tried hard to think of themes that everyone would feel comfortable in taking part in. I love it when lots of members join in, its fun to see everyone's designs.

The first prompt I thought of was abstract & 3D elements. I told them to all go nuts, there's no wrong or right in abstract art!

Diamonds & Lesser Pretty Rocks - Freehand Nail Art

How are ya doing on this wonderful Wednesday? I hope your week is going well.
I've been so busy this week already, I've done so much cleaning around the house and organising of..well.. all sorts of things!

I'm back with another design for the weekly challenge over on Tiny Canvas (Come join us, its such a lovely, friendly and fun community – the challenges are not mandatory ;) Our current theme is 'crystals, minerals and fine rocks'.

Well.. here's my rock collection!

I decided to combine some boring garden stones with some sparkling diamonds for this nail art. I sort of thought the contrast would be quite fun and stand out nicely on a black background. I some what regret my base choice because if I had done another colour I could have added shadows but its still fun none the less and man.. I was not going to try painting those diamonds again!

I began this manicure with my OPI Nail Envy base coat and once dry applied three coats of my Catrice Noir black nail polish. I again let this dry and applied a slick coat of my Pro-FX top coat which is a nice barrier to paint on top of. I used my acrylic paints and brushes to freehand the diamonds and rocks and sealed with another layer of top coat. I finally added my Barry M matte top coat which suited this manicure puuufectly!

Which stone do you like best here?! The rough, dull brown ones or the shimmery, glinting, glistening blue ones?!

Freehand Windmill Nail Art

How are you today? I hope you all had a fantastic, fun and productive week?

I wont say too much about what's going on here (yet) but I know the end of the month is going to be really stressful and hectic so I am just going to enjoy the weekend and relax as much as possible.

Today I have some nail art that I've been holding off posting for months. Not for any particular reason, every time I was about to post it review items would arrive or I needed to swap posts around for the weekly challenges on Tiny Canvas. I honestly think I may have painted these in.. March? Jeez! Anyway.. I'll stop talking before its another month until you see it! 

In some ways you could say this is a little tribute to Holland. This country and its people have treated me well since I moved here and it will ever hold a little piece of my heart. Its a beautiful country and I am glad I got to see and live in it.

For this manicure I began with my usual OPI Nail Envy base coat and once dry applied two coats of my Barry M 'White' nail polish.
I again allowed it to dry before applying a thin coat of my Pro-FX top coat and swiftly moved on with my freehand design.

I created an acrylic-gradient using my fave brushes and yellow and blue shades which I think gives it a really sort of.. warm summers morning hazy look, don't you think? I finished off with a coat of my Pro-FX top coat and finally my Barry M matte top coat.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. I also love the touch of glitter on the grass! Its subtle but I like it.

On another note, something that happened which is kinda cool.. scra2ch featured me on Facebook!

Swirly Freehand Acrylic-Rainbows and Tiny Stars!

How are you all doing today? Did you have a good weekend?

Mine was crazy busy, on Saturday we went to Mr Bravo's nephew's second birthday party. It was lovely watching him rip open his gifts with the excitement only a two year old knows!

Then around 3.30pm we boarded a bus in the Spijkenisse centrum which took us to Amsterdam where we watched a concert by a band called 'De Toppers' – they are a Dutch tribute band that do all sorts of songs both in Dutch and English. It was SO much fun but we didn't get home until 3-3.30 am and honestly it's killed me a little! I am not used to these late nights, haha. If you were around on Instagram you may have seen me go live :)

Today I have another design once again prompted by the weekly challenge over on TinyCanvas. I feel like I've had a lot of practice with this particular theme.. RAINBOW!!! 

So for this nail art I decided I was going to do another acrylic-gradient. Highly time consuming, mostly relaxing with a smidgen of frustration.. but always a delight come the end I find. This basically means painting each colour one by one with a paint and mixing paints to blend the colours through to the next.

I found trying to do a swirlier acrylic-gradient a whole new challenge. No lie, it probably took longer than my usual ones!

For this manicure I began with my OPI base coat, 'Nail Envy' and once dry applied one thin coat of Barry M's 'White' nail polish. Once this was dry I then added a thin coat of my PRO-FX top coat to create a nice smooth barrier for my paints to sit on top. Next came the 2-3 hour process of blending (attempting) those babies together!

Freehand Parks & Gardens - Bertie Mcburtlebutton and Ms Blueberry-Baebae Bouffant's 2nd Date!

How are you all doing today? I hope you are looking forward to a nice and relaxing weekend.. or a fun filled one? What direction is your weekend headed?

I don't have much planned today so I expect it will be the usual stuff. That's ok though! Perhaps if it is nice this morning I will go for a bike ride as I may not be able to do my usual work outs.

Today's nail art is yet again inspired by the weekly challenge over at Tiny Canvas. Our theme this week is 'Parks and Garden's' which had me completely stumped until I remembered that Bertie Mcburtlebutton and Ms Blueberry-Baebae Bouffant still hadn't had their second date yet.

I can't decide if Bertie impresses me or not... He decided to take here around his big fancy manor garden which I guess is kinda cool.. but couldn't he have taken her out somewhere? He probably would have avoided falling in the fountain at least?

There's some stuff going in this manicure that I actually can not stand. One example would be the house.. I really, really hate how it looks. I'm not quite sure what happened there, I think I may lost momentum and drive towards the end. Please forgive me!

For this manicure I only really used the basics, OPI's 'Nail Envy' for my base coat and Barry M's 'White' for my starting canvas. I used Pro-FX top coat to create a nice barrier and for my acrylic paint to stick nicely on top of and used my fave brushes and acrylic paints to create all the details.

What do you think about this nail art? I don't think Ms Blueberry-baebae looks any more amused than the first date. Come on, Bertie! You gotta try harder!
