For this manicure I began with my all time bestie base coat, OPI's 'Nail Envy' and once dry (which is at the speed of light, obvs.) I applied two coats of Barry M's 'White'...and that's where our story ends because everything else was created with acrylic paints! I sealed it all off with my Pro-FX top coat and decided to go for a matte top coat, it just felt more..chilled.

Freehand Donut Bunnies And Sprinkles

How ya doing? Did you have an awesome weekend? I can't say I got up to much, really. I've still been recovering from sickness but I am getting myself back in order, I feel more hopeful that this will be a good week.

Of course with the sickness came extreme artist block and when I did paint I couldn't be content with anything I had painted... That's also on its way out I hope - I don't deal with artist block! Hah.

So a while ago I found this adorable pin on Pinterest and I just knew I had to try it on my nails!

Now... Rabbits are not something I am particularly good at painting but you never know until you try and I do like a challenge :)

I began with my usual and most loved base coat, OPI's 'Nail Envy' and once dry began to apply my polishes. The pink is from Guylond, there is no name or number but it was part of a mini gradient set. The blue is Barry M's 'Huckleberry' and finally the nude is NYC's 'Classy Creamy'.

Once everything was dry I turned to my trusty bamboo brush and acrylics. I topped everything off with my Pro-FX top coat (Its a massive salon bottle, I love it but I was still getting used to the 'correct amount' when I did this manicure! Hence why bunnies ears look abit...bleh)

I wish I had done a better job of the rabbits and don't even get me started on the pinky. What was I thinking? Why didn't I just carry on the sprinkles?

The Stargazer - Freehand Nail art

How are you doing today? I hope you are having a great week so far. I'm going to share something personal with you... maybe its weird, maybe its not. You can decide. Whenever I am outside at night time and the stars are out I always look for the brightest one, then I'll either say out loud or in my head something to all the people I consider to now be 'up' there (I'm not going into religion or beliefs, my idea of it comes off of nothing, basically... I just like to think there are little dazzling holes in the night sky that I can pass my messages through, silly perhaps. Again, I don't mean this literally...its just something that gives me comfort in doing so.) I'm not entirely sure why or when I started doing that but I guess I just like to think they know I'm thinking of them. Do you do anything like that? Anyway...In case that was just weird...! Here's some freehand nail art – The stargazer.

For this manicure I began with two coats of Guylond's light pink from my gradient set. I then created a gradient using Maybelline's 'Ocean Blue and another polish.. I'm so sorry at the point of editing I have entirely forgotten :') #howtowin  . I then created everything else with my acrylic paints and beloved bamboo brush. To finish I added a little of Barry M's 'VIP' glitter here and there and used my Catrice top coat.

This manicure was actually a little bright and more twinkly in person, my camera is a massive douche lately. Excuse me ;)

'Swimming Lesson's ' With N.Nail's Orange Duck And Chicken Water Decals

How are you today? I hope you've been having a great week? This week has past me in a blur, really. I've not been feeling so great which is why I am going to keep this post really short as I seem to be struggling to make sentences which make any sense. Today I am going to show you how I chose to wear these cute 'N.nail orange duck and chicken water decals' from KKCENTERHK.

These cute little water decal stickers come in a pack of around 30 deigns including large and small and two designs of chicks and ducks. I personally love the little chickens because they have a really cute fluffy butt. I found these stickers to be just as easy to apply as N.Nails other water decals which means I simply cut my design out and use tweezers to hold it under water for 20 seconds or so. I am then able to easily slide the ducks off of the backing paper and apply to the required area.

For these nails I began by using two coats of Guylond's light blue which was part of a gradient set. I then took Ozotic's '903 sugar' to add some really subtle polka dots. Next I used Oumaxi Paints (Via Sammy Dress) to create some water on the tips of my nails. Finally I added my desired water decals to where I wanted them.

Flower Water Decals - Born Pretty Store

How are you today, I hope your having a good weekend so far? Today I embarked on an ultimate spring clean and I can tell you I regretted it – Why did I start!? On the positive side my nail polishes are beautifully arranged in nice new boxes that Mr Bravo bought me last week – My collection finally has a worthy home! Today I am showing you these beautiful flower pattern waterdecals from the Born Pretty Store. You can find these and so many others in the 'new arrival' section. Arn't these flowers so pretty? Ya know what I think is also great? The fact they are so damn easy to apply, you don't need to be the most confident nail artist to use these. First of all they come in a sheet and you will need to cut the flowers out so you can apply them individually. I then took a plastic cup of water and held my flowers under the water for a few minutes using tweezers. Its then really easy to slide the decal off from its base and apply it to the nail. If you ever used those fake tattoo's as a child then you will be a whizz with this, its really just the same idea.

The Manicure: I started by painting all my nails the lightest pink from my Guylond pink set and created a gradient using the other four pinks in the set. I then applied Nubar's '2000' flaky glitter. In hindsight perhaps I should have using a simple small glitter rather than flakies... I then applied my decals on top and sealed them with my top coat.

Turtle Bay ~ Water Nails And Turtle Shell

How are you today? I hope your having a good start to the week :) Did you do anything fun for St. Patrick's day? Today I was back to feeling chirpy and decided to try something new. Water nails! I had wanted to try this awesome tutorial from Chalkboard Nails for sometime and today was the day. Originally I had planned water lilies but upon finding *this* cute little turtle on Pinterest I knew I would have to go for a turtle manicure!

For my shell accent ring finger I started with two coats of Layla's soft touch #11. I then applied white lines using Fogan's 'white #09' polish and detailed using black acrylic paint and thin lines of Fogan's '18'. For all my other nails I used Guylond's set of mini gradient blue polishes, I used them all except the darkest shade to make a gradient. On top of this I used acrylic paint in white to hopefully look like water ripples/waves. I then used black acrylic to create a silhouette of a turtle on my thumb and gave a few little shell details using the Bronze polish from Fogan again. I topped each nail off with a splash of top coat.

I personally think the water isn't the best but I think its 'ok' for a first effort!

Nails Inspired By... A dress!

How are you doing today? Are you looking forward to the weekend? I've had such a productive day and I'm glad to be taking a break with some blueberry muffin tea ~ yum! I'm looking forward to a busy weekend also but I'm sure tonight there will be some time in between to chill out with a glass of wine and some nail painting while Mr Bravo is out playing darts! Today's manicure was inspired by this dress I saw on Pinterest, I loved the gradient and did my best to recreate the stripes. Although mine looks a lot different I do quite like my first time using a fan brush!

On all my nails I started with two coats of Fogan's '06' which is a gorgeous light beige/taupe. I then created a gradient using Fogan's '12' and Sally Hansen's 'Ressurection'. I finally look my fan brush with a gradient mixture of Essie's 'To Buy Or Not To Buy' and Guylond's light blue from their blue gradient set.

I was actually pleasantly surprised that I didn't want to wipe these off right away and I sort of like the scratchy finished look. If I could change one thing I would have liked the lines to all be thin (The pinkie finger's lines where a little too chunky for my liking)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentines day to you! How are you doing today? Do you have any plans for Valentines day? If I'm honest with you its not one of my favourite holidays to celebrate. I just don't understand celebrating your love for someone on a given day ~ why not just do that all year round, huh?! My perfect valentines would probably be snuggled up in the warm watching a movie or two with Mr Bravo but I'll be at home on my own tonight. On the plus side I will have some long girly chats with my mother and sister on Skype. Today's manicure features a brand that was new to me!

For this manicure I used different shade for each nail. My sister-in-law (we call each other that even though Mr Bravo and I are not married yet) ever so kindly surprised me with 30-something new nail polishes this week and among the selection was a brand that was new to me, Guylond. I had a gradient set in all pink shades so decided to use these. The collection of pink polishes had no name/numbers apart from 'pink'. I made heart decal stickers using my BM 317 stamping plate and Barry M's 'Silver Foil' and applied these on top. On my thumb I used the same shades in a cloud design. I finished by applying Model's Own top coat to seal the decals. Its not really the 'amazing' valentines day manicure I had planned but still..
