Acrylic Rainbow Slices And Greyscale

Allo polish Pals!

How are you doing today?  I can't wait for spring..and summer! Is it time yet!? Bring it!

Today's manicure started off as one thing and totally escalated into something quite extreme!
My original idea was to create gradients from black to white with acrylic paint (These are hard work but I find them so relaxing!) and have slices with a rainbow gradient in it. For some reason after taking my first lot of pictures I decided to just add more triangles – I have to be honest that the lines were done in the dark (my painting space was taken up with my photography set up) So....I do kinda like the end result though.

Wishing On A Star - Freehand Fairy

Allo polish Pals!
How are you today? Are you enjoying some nice warm weather this week? So... Here's a question for you, Little Theodora here is sat wishing on a star, but do you think she had her wings before or after she made the wish? If she already had wings I wonder what she was wishing for....

I'm quite displeased with her face, as you can see she kind of has...mutant bumps on her face. That was from me making a huge mistake but I tried to fix it. For this manicure I began with two coats of Barry M's 'Mist' and created a gradient with Barry M's 'Cobalt Blue'. I then used tiny pieces of sponge to dab on H+M's 'Blue Metal', Color Club's 'Winter Wonderland' and for glitter I used OPI's 'Snowflakes In The Air' and Collistar's glitter. Everything else was freehand with my Oumaxi paints

What do you think of my mutant fairy? Have you created any fantasy-type nail art?
Have a beautiful day!

Glitzy Rainbows

Allo polish Pals!
Hope you are having a lovely day so far? I'm in one of those frantic painting modes, there is nail polish everywhere as I am panicking to create posts for while I am in England (Not long now!) but today I thought I would continue with the brightening of moods while the weather is gloomy, so lets have some rainbows, shall we? This was one of my ideas the other night as I struggled to sleep. It didn't come out quite how I imagined, in fact... I planned it to be a lot more arty and abstract with patterns in the clouds but this is the end result. Please excuse my cuticles... *Hides face in shame*

On all my nails I began with two coats of Barry M's 'Pearl' (I'll be needing a new bottle soon, I love this polish for so many nail art ideas!) I then created a really random gradient using China Glaze's 'Something Sweet' , 'As Light As Air', Barry M's 'Peach Melba', Picture Polishes 'Sky', Essie's 'Mint Candy Apple' and finally Sinful Colors ' Unicorn'. I then applied Collistar's glitter (I wish I had used a larger glitter.) and painted my rainbows and clouds using acrylic. I topped it all off with OPI's top coat.

What do you think about rainbow nail art? Do you like it or do you prefer less colours to your manicure?

I hope you have a lovely evening!

Rainbow Chevron Nails With MoYouNail's Newly Stocked Plates

*This item was sent to me to review but as always will contain my full and honest opinion :)

Allo polish Pals!
How are you today? I hope you've been having a good week. How is your weather? Here in Holland its a beautiful sunny day, it lovely to sit and type with the door wide open and lots of sunlight filling the room. Did you know that MoYouNails have a whole new range of stamping plates in stock? When I was contacted to try out a few of the new plates I was of course so excited and even more excited when I saw the 128 stamping plate because I've wanted to wear a chevron/zigzag design since forever. This is a full design plate. Come take a look and please excuse my slightly blue finger...
A shot of the beautiful 128 stamping plate and... Argh, Blue index finger!

All the designs on this plate are gorgeous and I am looking forward to trying them out really soon; I'll also have another two plates to show you in the near future. I am really looking forward to trying the mermaid scale pattern and the diagonal lines which remind me of sun rays. I highly recommend you take a look at MoYouNails if you have not yet done so. They carry a wide selection of high quality stamping plates, polishes and many sets and accessories.

For this manicure I decided to create a horizontal rainbow gradient and used the following colours, from thumb to pinkie: Catrice's 'Lime Heart Beating Like A Drum', Yes Love's '007', Rimmel's 'Blue Eyed Girl' (The blue stained finger culprit) Picture Polishes 'Wisteria', Yes Love's 'N025' and Barry M's 'Peach Melba'. I then decided to use this plate by making decals using Fogan's '#08' to stamp and Collistar's '#37' for some rainbow glitter pizazz!

I am so happy to finally have chevron nails and I am happy with how the rainbow looks with the stamping decal. I just wish I didn't photograph my blue-d up finger and my cuticles were a little neater but oh well!

So what do you think of this manicure? Have you tried MoYouNails stamping plates yet?
Have a great day!
