Freehand Mythical Creature - Red Dragon Nail Art.

Allo polish Pals!

How are you all doing today? I sure hope your week has had a better start than mine, Sunday morning..BAM. I woke up with the worst head cold. I had no warning at all, no build up.

As as result its affected my painting and I've been so unamused with any of my creations yet I am putting pressure on myself to complete press sample posts before I go away for a few days (I'll still be posting, when do I miss posting?!) As this post becomes live I am struggling with myself to achieve at least two of three miles in the morning. I gotta fight this off, I miss my pattern.

So.. today's nail art is another one I'm not 100% I'm happy with. Our current theme on Tiny Canvas is 'Mythical creatures' – I did do a Kelpie which is like a sea horse/water horse but I couldn't bring myself to post it (I've still got it, he may make an appearance at a later date) so instead I've decided to share my dragon with you.

I'll tell you guys a little secret. If any of you are getting GoT feels from this.. I've never watched any of it! Not even an episode. I love dragons and fantasy...but I just can't bring myself to do it, ha!

Do you guys ever get in a slump about what you are producing? I feel like I've had a pretty good run but every so often my creativity crashes slightly and I'll go through a short spell of hating what I do.. What do you guys do when that happens? Take some kind of action or ride it out?

For this design I only used my OPI Nail Envy Base coat, China Glaze's 'White On White' and created everything else with my acrylic paints. I'm currently using Barry M's All in one base/top coat to seal my designs.. eh, It's ok. It's no Pro-FX though.

What do you guys think of my dragon design? Does it remind you of anything?

Thank you guys for visiting today, take care and I'll see you again on Saturday!

Love,
Ithi

  2. Awesome nail art! It reminds me of one of the books in the Eragon series, the second one if I'm not mistaken (it's been ages since I've read them). I do remember the red dragon in those books wasn't a very happy one though, as opposed to your dragon who looks calm and wise.
I sure hope you'll start to feel better soon. Just remember to allow yourself some time to recover instead of doing your normal routine. Being pampered because you're ill isn't such a bad thing, honest!

  6. The dragon looks impressive, I am amazed by your skills. I would say it reminds me of GOT but..... Drogon is black and scarier :) However, you did a great job creating all those tiny details on the dragon.
