The Life Tree - Freehand Nail Art

How are you doing today? I hope you will have a lovely weekend! Tomorrow all the guys are out playing darts so I will probably spend my morning cleaning and getting things done before enjoying a nice peaceful afternoon painting.

Today I have a manicure that might look a bit weird... So I need you to click *this* pin from pinterest to see what I was 'trying' to create. I think unless you see the inspiration you may be confused at what you are looking at... Hah! Always a great way to start when you have to explain your nail art :'D

For this manicure I began with two coats of Catrice's 'George Blueny' and layered on top Sally Hansen's  'Mermaid Tale'. Once this was completely dry I moved onto my acrylic paints, I started by trying to create a sort of one stroke arch along the top of my nails. I added blobs for countries/land and then added 'the life tree' in front. I finished with a few stars (where I could) and added some glitter with Barry M's 'VIP'. I finished it all off with two coats of Catrice top coat.

Birds At Sunset - Freehand Nail Fail Art

How are you today? I hope you've been doing great, it's been an odd start to the week for me. I've been feeling a little funny on and off... I am beginning its something to do with the painting they did in the house at the weekend. Some of us have been having weird headaches.  I have some nails that I am really really displeased with today.. I hate showing you things that I don't think are good enough, it really makes my brain go weird :( I created this last time I was in England, I loved the idea and I know its hardly original but I made such a sloppy mess of it. My lines aren't even straight, Argh! Just hate, hate, hatin'.

For this manicure I began by creating a gradient (If you can call it that..) using Barry M's 'Supersonic', One's #31 #37 and Dorothy L's #312. I then went straight in with black acrylic paint and created something that is not worthy of your eyes and time. I added a bit of glitter here and there, not sure why, because it doesn't look right.

I very almost didn't post this but normally when I hate something people seem to like it, strange how it works. I don't think this will be the case this time around. I'm having real trouble with my painting mojo; I spent most of today on and off building on a design that in the end pretty much came to nothing.

Bloom And Doom Nails - Freehand Skull Manicure

How are you doing today? Today's manicure is an odd one... A little bit of bloom and life with a bit of doom and gloom – None the less I am quite happy with how it turned out. I added a progress picture on *Instagram*, I had only done the skulls at this point and I was quite pleased with them; I did however like them less once they were outlined... Ah well! Here's a fairly rock and roll manicure!

For this manicure I used only one polish, Barry M's 'Heather' from the silk collection in two coats. I had a lovely smooth base to begin painting with. Everything else was created with acrylic paints and my beloved bamboo brush.

Pink & Purple Waves With Sweet Little Daisy Studs – Born Pretty Store Review

How are you doing today? I hope you will have a fantastic weekend! I'll be off to Brabant, a province in Holland. Mr Bravo's niece has been staying here for six weeks and now its time to take her home and also to celebrate her 8th birthday with all the family, are you doing anything nice?

Today I have some really cute little studs to show you from The Born Pretty Store. This is an unofficial review as I picked these up around a month ago, I just thought they looked so pretty! These are 'Sweet Little DaisyStuds'. I decided to pair these with another style I did recently, that odd looking acrylic gradient wave, I quite enjoy painting these even if they do take me just about forever to complete!

These cute little resin studs come in two colours, black with a gold center and white with a gold center. They come in a little baggy containing three studs – it may not seem like a lot but they are totally reusable and when I think about it, two was enough for one manicure for me. I don't think I'd wanted them on every nail! They are approximately 5mm in size and fit quite happily onto the nail bed. I really like them and may even consider picking up the white version!

For this manicure I began with two coats of Rimmel's 'Let's Get Nude'. Next I blocked out my coloured area with white acrylic paint and smoothed it out with my Catrice top coat. I then used Oumaxi pink and purple paints to attempt a colour blend. I then added some small white dots and applied my flower studs using a dot of top coat.

Freehand Golden Retriever Puppy Pile

How are you doing today? Tell me, have you ever been so close to an animal, a family pet who you felt close to growing up, or even a pet now that might be your 'baby'? I've had cats and dogs over the years that have amazed me with their personalities. Growing up I had golden retrievers and cats. Even though I had friends as a child, my furry friends would be around to confide in and offer support without judgement, to give unconditional love and understanding. I have very, very fond memories revolving around these golden beauties so I wanted to do something to show it! (Of course I love all dogs of every breed, I just wanted to do this for myself!)

The beautiful creatures we offer our homes to, don't just become our pets. They become our family and we become theirs.

The inspiration for this picture came from this beautiful illustration on pinterest. For this manicure I began with two coats of Barry M's 'Truffle'. The dogs were done entirely in acrylic paint with my bamboo brush. I wish I had done a better job but at the same time I am glad it is how it is.

Freehand Leafy Nail Art With 3D Ladybirds (With Wings!)

How are you doing today? I think it was around a year ago now that I had an idea to create my own 3D DIY wings... I never actually got around to trying it but the idea had still been stuck in my head. Originally I was going to do it with bumble bees but in the end it turned into ladybirds!

I like how the little one's wings turned out, I wanted them to be transparent instead of solid, somehow the thumb wings came out solid white... huh.

Today I am flying back to Holland. It's been a very odd week with too much crying, laughing, reminising and celebrating the life of my Grandad. Its been an emotional rollercoaster. Now its time to go home and be back with Mr Bravo, things can calm down and I'm going to get back into my routines. I'll be back commenting very soon, I have missed visiting your blogs as much as I had been.

For this manicure I began with two coats of Barry M's 'Meadow and created a gradient with Picture Polishes 'Jade' and Barry M's 'Mustard'. On top of that I added a special effect topcoat from Hema called 'Green Circus'. I then used my oumaxi paints and bamboo brush to freehand the background leaves.

For the wings I used a small piece of baking paper and added some of Essie's 'Sparkle On Top' (I think) on either side. Once dry I used my craft knife to cut small wing shapes. The lady birds were regular studs which I coated with Rimmel's 'Queen of Tarts'. I then used my black acrylic paint to add their dots. Finally, once everything was dry and ready I added a small amount of top coat to the ladybirds to stick the wings on to them.

While it was not entirely what I had hoped for, it was quite time consuming to get to the end result (Especially if you include the time freehanding the leaves.) so I thought I'd share it with you – Next time I will ensure that the leaves are completely sheer!

Colourful Freehand Flower Doodles

Allo polish Pals,

How are we all doing today? I landed in England lastnight around 9.20pm with a 30-40 minute drive home. Tomorrow I'll be attending my Grandad's funeral. I'm not going to lie, I am finding it hard without Mr Bravo. After Thursday I'll try and get back into a better pattern with my commenting.

Today I have a manicure inspired by THIS beautiful pin I found on Pinterest. Don't forget to check out that folder, it's where I put things that people might find inspiring for nail art!

It's a bit of a mess, isn't it? Be honest! I had hoped for a much more delicate looking manicure.

For this manicure I began with two coats of Barry M's 'White' and once dry... began to paint freehand! I'm afraid I can't tell you much more than that! I used my Oumaxi paints and my beloved bamboo brush. I finished up by adding a coat of Catrice's top coat.

Pretty simple.. ya?

How are you doing today? Tell me, is it scorching hot where you live? It's been pretty hot here in Holland and all I day dream about is jumping into a beautiful topical sea somewhere exotic! - Its not likely to happen any time soon but I did decide to at least cool my nails down with these cheeky penguins!The inspiration originally came from THIS pin.

I really need to say some stuff... Alot happened in the last week. My life is upside down. I can't not share it with you... Cos this is my 'home' too.

Freehand Moomin Nails

How are you doing today? I hope you are all doing great.

I had some really sad news this weekend and I am still coming to terms with it... the thing I thought would happen.. happened. I wont go in to detail but those of you who read about it will know what I am talking about. Its hard. I have no way to get home in time for the funeral. I decided that this week I'd keep posting as normal as I had backed up posts ready to go. I had decided not to mention it at all but I think I needed to because I hate the idea of you guys thinking I am just not bothered to check out your blogs - thats not it. I'm coping with cleaning frenzies and trying to keep busy, I just find it hard sitting and thinking too much.

Do any of you know what the Moomins are?  Did you ever see that childrens cartoon as a child? As far as I am aware it is originally Swedish. I used to watch it in the mornings while getting ready for school! I found *THIS* beautiful picture on Pinterest featuring a gorgeous scene with Moomintroll in a boat with Snufkin (I think I got that correct) It looks so calm and serene! 

 For this manicure I began with two coats of Barry M's 'Huckleberry', that is the only polish I used! Everything else was created freehand with my Oumaxi paints and my bamboo brush.

I'm actually not happy with this manicure, I created it over a month ago and each time I kept checking the post and seeing the pictures the less I liked it. Couldn't this have been so much better?

Doesn't it seem I have a thing for boats? I have no idea why I've painted so many boats with my freehand work - It's not like I am a boat fanatic, ha!

Freehand AlphaBear Nail Art

How are you today? I hope you've been having a great weekend. I'm happy because today is another 'Soupy Sunday' as I call it. Mr Bravo's sister makes the best tomato soup! Today I have some freehand nails inspired by a recently released game.

I'm not much of a gamer these days (I used to play mmorpg's) but I like the odd casual mobile game. I stumbled across Alpha Bear and fell in love with it immediately. It is an easy to play word game with a difference – there are incredibly cute cube-like bears to collect along the way! There are common bears, rare bears and legendary bears that unlock the more you play, there's currently 67 bears to collect. Game play is actually really simple – Letter blocks have numbers, make the best words you can to get high scoring words – the bigger the words the bigger and wider your bears will get. Letter blocks that are red will expire and then turn into stone which will stop your bears expanding. It is possible to fill the entire screen with just one massive 

bear!  

If you like fun word games you can pick up and play when you have a spare five minutes here and there then you should try it!

VIP Freehand Henna Flowers

How has your week been? Give me one fact that made you smile so far this week! Ah, I love it when we share random snippets, even if it means I am just throwing questions at you! I have another manicure that was created while I was in England, and actually the last. I was a busy little bee, huh? ~ Shame the productivy is at a stand still now I am home...It was an amazing change to paint at a table, to have good lighting, to actually sit on a chair (If you don't know, my nail art is normally created in the bedroom, sitting on the bed with a cardboard box as a table...yeah, you get the idea!) My mum very kindly treated me to a few new polishes while I was home, one I picked up myself was Barry M's 'VIP' and I just had to try it ASAP!

For this manicure I began with three coats of Barry M's 'VIP' on all my nails excluding my ring finger. I then used black acrylic paint to create my teeny tiny Henna inspired flower designs and added a little bit of gold here and there. My ring finger was an incredibly rushed job (I was running behind on time) so I left it as a simple angled French manicure with Barry M's 'Black Berry'.

I just fell in love with VIP and I really wanted to create something with it. I'm really happy with how my flowers came out but I wish I had done something nicer on my ring finger. Too bad!

Minty Freehand Flamingos

I hope you are having a beautiful day, do you have anything nice planned for the weekend? I have to say I'm having a real hard time painting things that please me, I have at least 12 scheduled posts already planned but I just seem... blocky. 

I created this mani a short while ago and I'm overly displeased with it; I feel like I'm so inconsistant in my nail art. I'll paint something and work so hard at it and I love the feeling of seeing it achieved... And then I make nail art like this which.... does nothing to for me.  I wanted to test the boundries of pink and green again. As I mentioned before I really like the combination if you get the correct shades!   Nail fail!

For this manicure I primarily used Essie's 'Muchi Muchi' and 'Mint Candy Apple'. I decided to created a few mixed nails by adding polka dots and a gradient with stripes. For the flamingos I used my Oumaxi paints and beloved bamboo brush.

I don't think the flamingos came out well at all but I do still like the combination! I feel proud of some of my art like the last unicorn and some of the posts still to come.. then I make this?! :/ I was doing really well with painting positively and now, my attitude in all aspects is just.. blah. I'm just a little down and now I wish I wasn't posting this at all!

Freehand Mint Leaves On Cocoa

How are you doing today? Happy Tuesday to you all! I can't say I've been up to much except the usual work outs and housework, and of course painting!

Today I have a freehand design to share with you that I created while I was in England (Now are you seeing how I became so organized with my post schedules?! - I'm happy if I have at least 13 posts ready to go) These are supposed to be mint leaves!

For this manicure I began with two coats of Barry M's 'Cocoa' and one dried began creating my mint leaves with my bamboo brush and Oumaxi paints. I decided to add some light blue swirls for a really jazzy looking manicure. I finished it off by smoothing it out with Catrice's top coat. I also tried this with a matte top coat because sometimes... I just think mint looks great matte!

I'm quite happy with this manicure but I do wish my swirls had been somewhat neater.

Paint The Sky - Freehand

How are you doing today? What colour is the sky where you are? I hope you have a beautiful blue sky! I love a beautiful bright day, in my opinion everything just looks happier when the sun is out. The greens look greener and the flowers look brighter!  That's why today I am painting the sky myself! I was inspired by *THIS* really cool picture on Pinterest.

For this manicure I began with two coats of Barry M's 'Truffle' from the silk collection – a beautiful matte base to begin some freehand designs on! I used my favorite, most beloved bamboo brush and freehanded everything else with my Oumaxi paints. I finished this manicure off by applying two coats of Barry M's Base/topcoat to smooth everything out.

Colourful Mixed 3D Nail Art Studs - Born Pretty Store Review

Today I am showing you another product from The Born Pretty Store. These are 'Mixed Bowknot Nail Studs Resin Colorful 3D Nail Decoration' – Phew that was a long name. This manicure is crazy and I like that!

Born Pretty Store states that these studs will come in sizes 1mm-10mm so there's something for everyone if your not a fan of larger studs. The picture shown on the Born Pretty Store shows a variation to the studs I received – it looks like they are really randomly selected but I absolutely loved what was in my pot. I had beautiful 3D tear drops, Tiny cute bow ties, big pearly hearts and half beads, small crystal like studs, squares and rectangles and one beautiful white moustache. There was also three big beaded hollow heart shapes (You will see this in the picture featuring the studs, click read more)

Be Free To Fly - Freehand Bird Nails

How are you today? I hope your having a great day so far :) Lately there has been a lot of acrylic and crazy bright manicures here at IthinityBeauty so I thought for today's manicure I would do something very... calming and free! Spread your wings and soar!

I'm quite happy with how this manicure came out. This was my second attempt at the idea, my first manicure came out horrifyingly awful which you can see *HERE* if you really want to.

For this manicure I began with two coats of George's 'Cool Lilac' and created a gradient with Rimmel's 'Bestival Blue'. One dry I created my lettering and flying birds with acrylic paint. I finished the manicure by smoothing out with Catrice top coat.

I hope this manicure has the cool and calm feel I was going for. Something a little more chilled!
