How're you all doing today, I hope things are going well for you all? I'm just in my bubble, fending off my cold and looking for work – there still seems to be little going and I know there are talks that a lot of the high street shops are struggling. Until then I continue to paint and keep my spirits up! 

Also these pictures are still with the old camera, I've been having fun with the new one, getting to learn it and I've changed my dark background.. In terms of picture quality improving I'm really not sure but they certainly don't seem to be worse which is good!

Today's nail art features a nail polish I was given by my mum and Christmas. If I am entirely honest I had no nail ideas for this shade but I wanted to use it so badly that I ended up creating something rather weird. I can't say I am 100% happy with this manicure but painting is always fun.

How are you all doing today? I hope you've had a wonderful and relaxing weekend – or even a long weekend if you are in the UK. I've been working quite a lot this past week (looking forward to a day off tomorrow!) which has been really nice. I have to say I am so happy with the girls I work with, they really are such a lovely bunch. I enjoy my job but when everyone in your work place is so kind and wonderful it makes a job even better, I think!

On Saturday I managed to raise over £40 for breast cancer in the space of an hour and a half to two hours which isn't bad when your standing by the store entrance. Some people do look like you've just asked them for rabies so I was pleased with the result and wish I could have done it for longer.

Today's nail art was a little trial and error, you know how I love painting skies, be it daytime or night time but I wanted to try something a little different with my background. I think it turned out pretty interesting!

Love Your Nails - Orly Nail Polish Bottle Nail Art

How are you all doing today? Did you have a lovely long weekend off work for the Easter weekend? Whatever you got up to I always love to know how you are doing.

I've got a little good news.. If you followed me the last couple of months you'll know I had a temporary job which I absolutely loved – things went slightly wrong, I was promised a permanent role..but I never got to go back. Recently a friend who worked there ran into some family issues so I went back to cover her shifts while she's abroad... well.. I've now been offered a permanent role there! I'm still on cosmetics/fragrance for now but when my friend returns they wont just get rid of me (hurrah!) it may mean I'll be moved onto a different department such as woman's wear, accessories etc.. but that's fine with me!I'm really happy about it :)

Today's design is a tribute to the ORLY Pastel City collection which came out recently for spring, I loved those polishes so much, they were a beautiful collection. I wanted to use all of the nail polishes in this design but I reigned in a little self control and only used three.

How are you doing today? Happy Hump day to you. It doesn't feel like hump day to me as today I am back at work until Saturday, what an odd working week, don't you think? Still I am excited to go in and see everyone, sale some gorgeous perfume and serve some fabulous customers.

You can not imagine my surprise when a delivery man pulled up at my door last week. I hadn't been expecting any parcels so I assumed that it must have been a delivery for my dad. As the courier man was preparing the electronic signature machine-thingy I saw it. Those sexy bold letters on the side of the box, calling me seductively. O R L Y -  I gasped SO loud that the man jumped back and genuinely looked very bewildered. Awkward...

Do you know what I love about ORLY? They can take a classic idea such as pastels and completely turn it on its head. You wont find any streaky sherbet yellows, no sheer mint greens that'll end up probably unused and unloved in this collection (Ok, I actually like those last two types of polish but this collection is far more fun!)

Metallics are the furtherest thing in my mind when I think about pastels. Metallic pastels? How can the two marry together? Well.. I'm not sure how those little angels in the ORLY HQ managed it but they sure did because this collection oozes with sophistication and sexiness. Prepare to meet a pastel collection unlike any other!

St Patrick's Day Nails

How are you all doing? I hope you had an amazing week and have something fun to look forward to this weekend, or even just enjoy it chilling.

I had some news this week, today and yesterday I went back to work at the place I had been working at in December. One of the friends I made there reached out as she is having a family issue and needs to travel to another country. She suggested I could maybe take over her role while she's away so of course I said yes because I wanted to help her. While I'll only be there temporary I did enjoy the job immensely and it'll get me out of the house while I continue looking for work.

In other news..Tomorrow is St Patrick's day so of course we need to don some greenery on our claws for the occasion!

 

Freehand Halloween Chickens Go Trick Or Treating

Happy weekending to you all! I hope you are having a fabulous one so far? Tell me, do you have any plans for Halloween?

I don't really celebrate it and never have, growing up in the UK it wasn't massively popular where I grew up coupled with the fact I was the only child on the street (and my sister was 7 years older) but I've always been in awe at how some American families decorate their houses and gardens and go ALL out! It looks like a lot of fun.

Since I started nail blogging I have found each Halloween more and more fun in terms of creating nail art. I've already posted on design but I am saving the best for Monday's post! Ever since I created those scary hag sisters I've been trying to out do myself!

Today though.. These little chickens just want join in the fun. They've got their costumes on early because they just can not contain they little beaky excitement! Who says chickens can't enjoy Halloween too?..

UR Sugar 6ml Metallic Gorgeous Metal Nail Polish - Review

I had a very indulgent weekend, now its time to get back to normal! This week also starts 4 weeks of looking after my niece on and off during the school holidays. I love spending time with her, she's funny and clever and always so well behaved. I don't watch a lot of tv with her but I thought we might watch The Little Mermaid.. my only concern is.. I cry at everything Disney related!

Today I have another review from URSugar. I'm taking a look at '6ml Metallic Gorgeous Metal NailPolish' in Gold.

I had an interesting time with this polish and boy.. If I hadn't of applied it for a second time this review would be very different. This is a mini 6ml nail polish and looking at the bottle this polish looks gorgeous, its a very soft metallic peachy gold that looks very promising.

How are you all doing today, has anything exciting happened during the start of your week?

Rolling with the constant chances I got my hair all cut off yesterday! FINALLY. Freedom! I really like what my hair dresser did with it too. The pile of hair on the floor was unreal. If you wanna see some before and after pictures you'll find them at the bottom of the post. I feel like I'm getting myself back!

There are so many beautiful, delicate and well executed mermaid manicures floating around at the moment – its even the current theme over on Tiny Canvas... I guess I had to go and ruin it because I didn't feel like painting something nicey-nice..

This bieesh will sink your ship and drink your tears... We'll remember this as the day Ariel couldn't come out to play.

 

Haha. I.. er.. Welcome to the dark part of my brain! I don't like her as much as the last mermaid I did but I guess she's got some attitude, right?

I started this manicure by applying my Nail Envy base coat from OPI. Once dry I added two coats of China Glaze's 'White On White' (new favourite white!) I used my metallic acrylic paints to sort of dab on various colours for my moody sky and created the rest with my fave 'WhatsUpNails' brush.

I kinda like how this came out. I am going to hedge a bet that this will flop on IG, Land of the beautiful mermaid nails. Seriously though, there are some really beautiful designs out there!

Its fun to try different things, don't you think?

Here's my hair adventure. My hair is naturally VERY thick, wavy, curly.. I had wanted it short for a long time but felt restricted.. Now since I'm making so many changes, BAM!

The Lonely Planet, Bunny & Space Nail Art

How are you all doing today? Do you have anything nice planned this weekend?

I don't think I'll be up to much, I'm sort of looking to having a quiet one in. Maybe I'll have a swatchy Sunday.

Sometimes I make nail art and while I'm thinking “pretty' nails” - what I'll describe as 'pleasant' art that doesn't really have much substance or meaning behind it. It's literally just 'nice'  to look at without provocking any thoughts.

Sometimes though I love to paint nails that actually have more of a hidden depth to them, a background story even. I'd say the emotion behind this nail art is about being lonely or isolated from everything else. I'm not generally a lonely person but I do miss my family at times. It doesn't always get easier the longer I am away from them so I guess that is kind of where this came from...

There's nothing else on that planet. Just a bunny and a tree. That's gotta be pretty lonely. Poor Bunny.. I wonder if there are other bunnies on the other planets.. Besides that, its still pretty 'pleasant' I guess.

For this manicure I used OPI's 'Nail Envy' base coat and once dry I applied two coats of Barry M's 'White' (Surprise!!) I then used a thin coat of my Pro-FX top coat as a nice smooth barrier. Once this was dry I used my fat old brush (it looks like a felt tip pen..) and created the sky by mixing different shades together and creating the acrylic-gradient. For everything else I used my Christrio and Pure Color Brushes.

Cats, Bats and Spiders! Freehand Halloween Nail Art

How are you all doing today? Did you have an awesome weekend?

I've decided to set myself little weekly challenges, I'm a sucker for lists and organisation (if you've got me on Facebook you'll have seen my collection of lists) So I am going to make myself a sort of motivational list, I'll have two or three goals I want for the coming week (besides the usual) Bigger, but achievable goals.

For one I want to do at least 10 miles of my walking workout DVD but I can easily divide that into manageable amounts! Do you tend to break things up to make them seem less daunting?

Today I have my first of three Halloween manicures. I am not too sure about this one, I feel like I had a lot to compete with as I was quite happy with the ones I did last year but you can decide for yourselves!

For this manicure I began with my Mezmris Nail Lacquer base coat, Armor Up. Once dry (that's like 0.1 seconds) I applied two coats of Catrice's 'Generation whYte' for my base. My Barry M was getting pretty low and do you think our local Kruidvat as a simple solid white polish? Esh.. This is doing the job though. I applied a coat of Pro-FX as a barrier and once dry moved onto the nail art. I used some new metallic acrylics (Thank you, Dani!!!) and my trusty tatty bamboo brush to create the purple to blue gradient. I then used my fine detailing brush to paint the rest of the scene. I finished off with my Wet 'N' Wild matte top coat.

As much as I love the background I wish I had tried a little harder with everything else, its hard to see the spider legs on the metallic background and I wish I'd done smaller bats to look as if they were really flying away..ah well!

I'm actually feeling sooo Christmasy and festive already – this is so unlike me! The feeling doesn't come from whats around me but watching English Youtubers and seeing commercials.

Enchanting Nail Roll Foils C03 -Born Pretty Store Review

How are you, do you have any nice plans for the weekend? Tell me something exciting! I can tell you that.. today I'm geared up for an early morning of painting, then I'll be off to play with the kids and in the evening Mr Bravo and I will be out with my parents for a meal - nice!

I have some nail art foil to show you today, this is the first of two foils I have but I accidently forgot my nail foil glue.. so I'll review the others when I get back to Holland. Whoopsie-doodle. These beautiful foil rolls came with a gorgeous flower pattern containing pink, orange, blue and green flowers with a delicate holographic leafy trim. These little tubes contain approximately 100cm in length and are 4cm in width. That means you get so many uses out of these foils! They also come in so many beautiful patterns and designs - my favorite so far has been the butterfly foil I showed you previously. I've more information for you so lets read on!

ORLY: Chantilly Peach Swatch & Review ★★★★/5

How are you doing today? Tell me something random about your day so far :D I don't really have too much to tell you but I do have a really gorgeous shade from Orly to share with you. This is 'Chantilly Peach'.

Colour ~ 'Chantilly Peach' is described as a peach gold frosted shimmer polish but I like to call it a soft peach champagne and personally I think this looks more metallic than frosted. It is very sheer so you will need to build it up for full opacity. I am wearing three coats in these pictures.

Application ~ Application is fine for the most part but you will have to watch out for those pesky brush streaks – as is common with these types of polish. I recommend being very wary of how much polish you have on the brush. Dry time is fairly reasonable.

Texture ~ This polish is very much on the watery side so as I mentioned before, be careful how much is on your brush unless you want it swimming into the sides of your nails and cuticles! Dries to a beautiful smooth metallic finish.

★★★★/5 Chantilly Peach is a great polish in my opinion. Does it look right on my nails? I'm not too sure but I do love this polish as a feature for nail art, it looks great with many colours! I would say it is a great polish to own if you don't have a metallic peach within your collection.

Sinful Colors: Dancing Nails Swatch & Review ★★★★/5

Allo polish Pals!

How are you today? I hope you are doing better than me! My immune system seems to be on va-caycay (er... vacation) at the moment. Not to mention that having a cold/ flu right now is extra bad timing what with traveling to England on Saturday. Come on, body! Pull yourself together! Do you do anything to help get over colds faster? I'd love to know if you have any special tips or home remedies.

Now. Lets got onto the pretty, shall we? Today I have a swatch and review for you of Sinful Color's 'Dancing Nails'.

Colour ~ Dancing Nails is a pretty metallic rosy pink that often leans more towards red in low light. I would even say sometimes it can appear to have a more coral tint.

Application ~ Superb application, with amazing dry time. I had no issues with bubbling however due to its metallic finish you may see brush strokes but its certainly not the most visible I've ever seen with a polish and I think it is hardly noticeable.

Texture ~ This polish is quite on the watery side and dries in very thin layers which means it is ideal for building up coats if need be.

★★★★/5 I like dancing nails. I think it is quite charming. I don't know if its a real 'me' shade but it is unlike anything in my small collection of red/pink polishes. I think if you, like me, have less of these colours then this polish could sit quite nicely amongst them. I'd also say it would make a great polish for someone who wants to wear red but is a little shy of the colour. Also don't forget that amazing dry time – a real bonus.

Day 8: Metallic & N.Nail 6mm Circular Flat Laser Stud Review

How are you today? Have you been treated to some nice weather? It's been pretty gloomy here in Holland with the promising threats of a storm coming soon. I actually really love lightening but it's not so fun for the poor dog. Last night my parents-in-law surprised me with a professional light studio so today's pictures look a little different. I am still getting the hang of using my new light set up so I hope you will think the pictures are ok. I was so surprised by them that I nearly cried and gave them a big hug each. I'm so very grateful!

Today I have Day 8 of the 31 day nail art challenge which calls for metallic nails... I sure hope these nails are metallic enough! I also included these cute Circular flat laser 6mm studs by N.Nail from KKCENTERHK Let me know what you think.

I love these beautiful round studs, they shine beautifully through the spectrum and in my opinion, who doesn't love a rainbow? I applied these by adding them on top of my top coat. My only concern with them is the size, as you see on my little finger they look pretty large but they sat perfectly flat on my thumb. I think they are great for special occasions and for a extra dash of fancy-pants to your manicure :) Don't forget you can get a 10% discount on all products from kkcenterhk when you use the discount code 'ithinitybeauty' – yay!

I began this manicure by applying two coats of Essie's 'For The Twill Of It'. I then used bubble wrap to dab on Fogan's #18 (a strong copper shade) Barry M's 'Silver Foil' and Color Clubs 'Harp On it.

I finished this off with my top coat and added the studs on top.

N.Nail Silver Star Hidden Pattern Foil Review & Swatches

Jacava: Chillax Swatch & Review ★★★★★/5

How are you doing? I'm still on vacation and having a great time but I just had to share another beauty with you, today I have Jacava London 'Chillax'. I've a lot to say so lets get to it!

The fact you can see a reflection of a tree on my thumb shows how shiny and metallic Chillax really is!

Extra Blab: Today I have something else I would like to mention about Jacava nail polishes. I think its important to state this. Jacava London is '8-free' which means less of the chemicals that are found in most nail polishes. It boasts a formula to help nourish our nails while keeping them beautifully painted.

Colour ~ Where to start...! Jacava's Chillax is a beautiful blue metallic polish. I'm tempted to say that it even reminds me of a duo chrome because in the light it gently shifts from shades of blue into greens. When I move my hand in the light I even notice a sort of emerald colour at times. The colour shift is really subtle but incredibly unique. I would have to describe it as the perfect 'lagoon' or 'paradise' blue. It also appears to have a very very fine green shimmer through out.

Application ~ It applied wonderfully! The brush is a typical narrow brush but it gave me no problems in application. I applied my preferred two coats which gave perfect coverage. The polish applies very smoothly. I didn't have any severe streaking issues with Chillax but two good coats definitely makes sure of that.

 Texture ~ It has one of my preferred textures. Its not too thick and actually more on the watery side which means dry time is fantastic. The finish on this polish is to die for, as you guys might already know I am a huge sucker for nail polish that has a beautiful glossy shine to it and Chillax looked glassy and contained so much depth. I went ahead and applied a top coat of Seche Vite.

 ★★★★★/5 Oh yes! I can't help it.. I am seriously in love with this polish ~ and with reason. Its such a beautiful lagoon sea colour that boasts a unique finish and a wonderful but subtle colour shift. On top of that it has a great drying time. The fact Jacava London also has the 8-free formula makes me feel happy knowing my nails are getting TLC while looking great.

First Adventures Into The Wild! Snow Leopard!

How is your week going? I can't believe we're half way through the week already!

Today I bravely went where I have not been before.. Animal print! While I love animal print on animals I've always been scared when it comes to animal print clothing or nail art. Well today I took the leap with my first ever leopard print.. Snow leopard to be more precise!

 

I started with two coats of Color Club's 'On The Rocks', a really beautiful metallic silver. I then used Model's Own 'Grey Day' to add spots and bordered them with Mash nail art pen in black. I decided I didn't want just print on my nails so I took it a step further and added some eyes. On my index and ring finger I added circles using Essence 'Lets Get Lost' and Anny's 'Bikini Girl Blue'. I then carefully added the eyes using the mash pen again and lined underneath with Mash nail art pen in white.

What do you guys think? I personally like how the eyes pop out of the silver background! In real life the eyes catch a little shimmer from the Anny polish I applied, it gives it a cute little twinkle!

I didn't realize until after I'd taken the pictures and somehow managed to run out of my supply of batteries that there was some silver around my thumb nail.. Pssh! Oh well :)
