Freehand Daisy Nail Art With Holo

Allo polish Pals!

How are you all doing today? I hope you've had a fantastic weekend, are you ready for a new fantastic week to start? Abit of good news, I am attending a job interview this afternoon, fingers crossed for me please, I'd really like to work at this place!

Today's nail art is another one from last year (told you I schedule my blogs insanely!) I know I keep mentioning my stubby nubby nubbin nails but these do look really short compared to what I am used to! These do fit in with the current theme over at Tiny Canvas which is daisies.

I've also added a tutorial video below on how I paint this style of flowers. I find them quite relaxing to paint - roses on the other hand, argh! Frustration city!

How are you all doing? Can you believe we're at the last weekend of February? Honestly.. where does the time go?!

Today I am bringing back my short nubby nails since these were painted last year. My sister came up with the idea of a Viking ship design. I loved the idea but once again feel like my execution wasn't on point.. Mind you, I am always pretty harsh on my designs aren't I?!

How are you all doing? I hope you had a nice relaxing weekend and feel refreshed and ready for a new week? I didn't really do much, I didn't really paint anything either, most of it was spent job hunting and organising things...

Which reminds me I really need to take stock of my nail polish collection – would that be something you'd be interested in seeing? I'd like to cataloge them all so I know exactly what I have, its also a good chance to de-clutter and throw away any ancient and dead polishes that are beyond saving!

Today's nail art is one I have mixed feelings about. I'd say my head was about 60% focused on this design, I think I got a little lazy and uninspired half way through.. opps. I think it shows in the swan terribly!

Hello, hello and lots of hugs to you all. I hope you had an awesome weekend? Did you get up to anything interesting? - do tell, I love to know what you guy have been up to. Without working the week and weekend all seem to merge in to one, I need to start planning more things to do during the weekend to make it more fun.

Today's nail art is inspired by the famous Grimm brothers and their fairy tale Hansel & Gretel. I don't know if you know but I really love painting with black and white paint because it feels like a challenge to get various tones and to make certain parts stand out more than others, so that is the I went for with this manicure.

How are you all doing? Can you believe we're almost at the first weekend of the new year?
How has your week gone so far, do you have anything fun planned for the coming weekend?

I've gotten back into my exercise which feels good again, I stopped briefly while I was getting used to working again but while I'm between things it feels like a good use of my time!

Today's nail art comes with a little poem, just because...

Three little Yeti babies, dashing through the snow,
Making tiny foot prints and doing forward rolls,
These little siblings, one, two and three,
Are really just as cute as can be!

How are you all doing? Did you do anything fun for New Years Eve? Tell auntie Ithi all about it!

I had a quiet one in, watching the celebrations taking hold in London the good old telly-box.
I've not made resolutions this year, I feel like making real resolutions leads to too much pressure but I have got some goals in mind I will get crackin' on with.

Have you set any resolutions and have you succeeded with them the last couple of days?

I had another work update in regards to the job I seemed promised on Christmas Eve, I've been told to wait until the 15th when they've had their budget meeting. I dunno, it doesn't seem promising now, does it? I really don't like not knowing and I've been having so many dreams about this since.

Today's nail art is one I didn't really want to share, I wasn't 100% happy with it and then I thought that if I don't share it, that's kind of a shame for the time I spent on it and the fact that you guys normally seem to love what I don't, haha.

I hope you are having a fantastic day, how was your Christmas? I hope it was amazing! I am full of happiness, love and good food.. and maybe a glass of wine.

Today marks my last day at my Christmas temp job which kinda sucks.. I really, really love this job but its ok. Whatever comes next is just part of the adventure, I love that I get to share it with you. There may be some possible jobs for Benefit make up in the same store so we'll see, keep your fingers crossed for me if you can.

To be honest I'll take any job just to save up money but the ultimate goal is still nails of course.

Anyway, on to some nail sm-arts. Can you imagine this scene? Christmas has come and gone but all the festive feels are still there, the snow is inches thick and there's no need to go out. The fire is on and your feeling super cosy and toasty with a nice blanket watching your favourite tv shows..

How are you doing today? I hope your week is going well so far.
Two more days of work before I get a day off. Phew. That said I am still really enjoying work. I've had a couple 'off' days where everything has gone wrong but I try not to dwell on those. I'm going to be working Christmas Eve and Boxing day, I've never had to work on Boxing day but I can imagine it is going to be hectic!

Today I've another cutie for you!

How are you all doing today? I hope you had an awesome weekend, did you get up to anything fun?

I had a lovely birthday on Saturday, it was quiet and cosy but just perfect. Since I wont be able to see my niece in her school play (she got a main character role!) she did a performance of it for me, she may be only seven but I was so impressed with how well she's learnt her lines.

In the evening I had a cheeky Chinese and wine with my family. There was also time for some nail art which is good as I've lost my day off today and will be working pretty much non stop through Christmas, minus actual Christmas day of course.

Today's nail art came from a lack of inspiration.. I feel like I am not producing my best work lately, I'm not sure if my creativity is a little damp from working but hey. It'll come back!

How are you all doing, I hope your week has been awesome and your weekend will be even better!

I've had a pretty full week but that's great because it means I am learning the ropes quicker so to speak. Tomorrow I plan on doing very little, haha! I've had no time to paint (until today, wahoo!) We had our black Friday sale yesterday and it was busier than I had imagined. I feel like I am settling in well now, I make a few hiccups on the til when I am given vouchers but I am getting there – and enjoying it for the most part!

Today's nail art is one I had been excited to share with you as I thought it turned out pretty cute. It is back on my old nail shape (it's sort of frustrating me to keep seeing it) but we'll focus on the nail art!

Freehand Abstract Nail Art With 3D Elements

Allo polish Pals!

How are you all doing today? Can you believe we all climbed to the top of the week and now we're all sliding down the weekend slide?! Wahoooo. I hope you all have something fun planned.

After a week of feeling a little up and down and banging my head against the wall I *may* have found a college course for nails! It seems perfect, 1 night a week for 16 weeks to get a lvl 2 certificate. Wahoo, I hope luck is on my side and it is possible!

This month in Tiny Canvas the weekly challenges are all thought of my moi, I had fun coming up with themes I thought everyone would enjoy. I tried hard to think of themes that everyone would feel comfortable in taking part in. I love it when lots of members join in, its fun to see everyone's designs.

The first prompt I thought of was abstract & 3D elements. I told them to all go nuts, there's no wrong or right in abstract art!

Freehand Evil Siren Mermaid Nail Art

Allo polish Pals!

How are you all doing today, has anything exciting happened during the start of your week?
Rolling with the constant chances I got my hair all cut off yesterday! FINALLY. Freedom! I really like what my hair dresser did with it too. The pile of hair on the floor was unreal. If you wanna see some before and after pictures you'll find them at the bottom of the post. I feel like I'm getting myself back!

There are so many beautiful, delicate and well executed mermaid manicures floating around at the moment – its even the current theme over on Tiny Canvas... I guess I had to go and ruin it because I didn't feel like painting something nicey-nice..

This bieesh will sink your ship and drink your tears... We'll remember this as the day Ariel couldn't come out to play.

Haha. I.. er.. Welcome to the dark part of my brain! I don't like her as much as the last mermaid I did but I guess she's got some attitude, right?

I started this manicure by applying my Nail Envy base coat from OPI. Once dry I added two coats of China Glaze's 'White On White' (new favourite white!) I used my metallic acrylic paints to sort of dab on various colours for my moody sky and created the rest with my fave 'WhatsUpNails' brush.

I kinda like how this came out. I am going to hedge a bet that this will flop on IG, Land of the beautiful mermaid nails. Seriously though, there are some really beautiful designs out there!
Its fun to try different things, don't you think?

Here's my hair adventure. My hair is naturally VERY thick, wavy, curly.. I had wanted it short for a long time but felt restricted.. Now since I'm making so many changes, BAM!

You have permission to laugh your heads off at the before, brushed hair picture!

What do you think of my angelic looking mermaid? Do you ever do the opposite of what you'd think is expected?

Thank you for stopping by, my beautiful's! Have a wonderful day, I'll catch you again on Saturday!

6 Colours Luminous Graffiti Glow In The Dark Nail Art Powder - Born Pretty Store Review

*Press Sample* This post contains an item(s) which was provided for reviewing purposes however I will as always give my full and honest opinion.

Allo polish pals!
How are you all doing today? I hope the weekend got you recharged and ready to go for a happy and fun week ahead?

My parents came home and had a whole bunch of lovely polishes and delicious olives for me from Greece and I surprised my mum with a lovely bouquet of flowers. I also got to spend more time with my niece and nephew which is always lovely. I got my nail polish and nail art storage ordered! I'll update you with pictures when its all finished!

Today I have another item from the Born Pretty Store to share with you; This is '6 Colours Luminous GraffitiGlow In The Dark Nail Art Powder' and let me tell you... these don't only glow, they burn through your retina's!!! ..in a good way of course.

It looks pretty normal worn alone.. ;)
These arrived all in individual little bags and contained the following colours, one white, two pink shades, a green, yellow and a powdery blue. Each little pot contains approximately 3.8g-5g which is actually quite a lot – you'd get quite a lot of use out of these. I was AMAZED with how glowy these really were, I hadn't know what to expect but this
far exceeds the glowability of any glow in the dark polishes I've ever tried.

To get these babies to be super charged I merely held my hand/pots under my photography light for a few seconds, the glow is SUPER intense and so, so cool. I wish I had come up with some kind of clever design but I was having a brain-fart kind of day and unluckily I couldn't see what I was painting properly as I did these in the evening. For that reason I am unhappy with my acrylic-gradient...it doesn't even look much different between red/orange :C Note to self, buy desk lamp.

Application wasn't overly complicated. I knew I'd be using gel so I went ahead and applied my NYC peel off base coat first. I applied two coats China Glaze's 'White On White' (my new favourite white) and once dry I got to work on adding the powders.

To add the powders I mixed a small amount of the powder on a piece of foil and mixed with a small amount of my Born Pretty Store UV Soak Off Gel Top Coat. I then proceeded to brush this onto my nails and cure with my UV lamp. I repeated this step two or free times. I finished it off by adding a thin coat of gel top coat and cured a final time.

Final Feels? What do you think of this powder? I feel like Born Pretty Store are really showing us that gels can be so much fun and not quite as scary as people think! I really like these powders and I can't wait to think of more ideas where these will rock a design so hard!

What do you think of my glowy pin wheel? Have you tried glow powder before?

Thank you for stopping by, have yourself an awesome day. I'll see you again on Wednesday for what looks like booby-nail art. Niiiice.

Ithi

Freehand Sleepy Little Fairy Nail Art

Allo polish Pals,

How are you all doing today? I hope you had a great weekend, did you do anything fun? We had family over for fathers day and the sun was ba-ba-beating! All in all it was a good weekend.

In case you guys may have noticed.. I sorta played around with the blog theme again. I'm honestly not too sure if it'll stick, I really like certain parts but not others. Let me know if you like it, or have any trouble with it. Your opinion is important to me :)

Today's nail art was inspired for the weekly challenge over on Tiny Canvas. This week's prompt is fairy nail art – this is not my first fairy, you can see my last two here: The Fairy Village and The Butterfly Fairy (Now I look at this and shudder!)

I'm currently like...200?+ polishes out. Acrylics are also missing from my stash.. I'll explain another time but basically during this period my painting collection is minimal.

Look at my little fairy! I think she is tired for all her fairy duties – who said being a fairy is easy work? Shall we give her a name? Nousha.. Nousha the sleepy fairy :)

I had hoped for more shades of greens in this manicure but as I mentioned I am really limited on what I actually have available right now. Still – with some acrylics comes the joys of colour mixing. I feel like with acrylic art the possibilities are endless.

The dark green polish I used is China Glaze's 'Well Trained' which was gifted to me by a very dear friend. I think it works beautifully as a forest floor. I also used my OPI Nail Envy and my PRO-fx top coat. I finished off with my Barry M Matte top coat.

What do you guys think of Nousha? Have you made any fairy nail art before, I'd love to see it!

Have a beautiful day my loves, thank you for visiting. I'll catch you again on Wednesday for some more nail art fun!

Freehand Ladybug & 3D Gel Polish Raindrops

Allo polish Pals!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Mine was a super chilled one.. I liked it like that!

Has anyone had a BBQ yet? I am smelling them ALL the time here in Holland, its one of my favorite summer scents! (although not like I'd like to bottle the smell and use it as a perfume!!)

Today's nail art is again inspired by the weekly challenge over on Tiny Canvas (Haven't you joined us yet?!) where this weeks prompt was to create bug nail art.

I've done a few ladybird (ladybug) nails before but I decided I wanted to try a close up version.
You can see my two previous manicures below the new one.

2017

2013
2015

I began this nail art by painting my thumb and pinky with a coat of NYC's 'Strip me off' peel off base coat. Once this was dry I applied three coats of the Born Pretty Store's Chameleon nail polish in #224. I allowed this to dry and used my Barry M matte top coat. I then used my Bluesky Gel polish and a dotting tool to create a raindrop look – this always looks gorgeous on matte chrome's.

On my remaining nails I applied a coat of OPI's 'Nail Envy'. I followed on with two coats of China Glaze's 'Well Trained' and applied a thin coat of Born Pretty Store's black holographic polish.

Everything else was created with my acrylic paints and brushes. I finished off by applying my Pro-FX top coat to seal in my freehand work.

What do you guys think of my ladybird manicure evolution? Have you had ladybird nails before?

Have yourself a fantastic day! Thank you so much for visiting, don't forget to come say hi in the comments :D I'll catch you again on
Wednesday!
