How are you all doing today? I hope your week is going well.

I feel like the start to my week has gone epic, thank you to those of you who wished me good luck for my interview on Tuesday. I wont know anything for a while but it went pretty well from what I could guess. Now the waiting game..

Today I have a really mixed double review for you. Do you ever find a product that you just can not get a long with no matter how hard you try? Today I am reviewing Nail Glitter Set and 'Cat-Eye Magnetic Gel Polish' from BeautyBigBang. 

This will be my final review for BeautyBigBang, I am so grateful I had the opportunity to work with them.

Reversed Greyscale Acrylic-Gradients & Diamonds!

Happy weekend to you all, I hope you are doing fantastically? How was your week? To be honest mine was kind of dull - but I needed that. I got some stuff done I really needed to do before next week when I'll be running around like a headless chicken. I feel so relieved some of the big 'to do's' have been ticked off.

I don't think I have too much planned this weekend, hopefully I may be going out today with my sister in law and on Sunday we'll be making our own pizza's (I'm not really supposed to eat pizza but shh..It's my poison!) with all different kinds of toppings, yum!

Today I have another one of my weird acrylic-gradients for you again. I had hoped to make the centers look almost 3D like I have done previously with my diamond nail art.. I don't think I really achieved it but I had fun painting this none the less.

For this manicure I began with my fave base coat, Mezmris Nail Lacquer's 'Armor Up'. Once dry I applied two thin coats of Catrice's 'Generation whYte' and allowed to dry. I then added a thin coat of Pro-FX top coat to create a nice smooth barrier. I followed on with my acrylics by creating a thin line down the center of my nails and roughly drawing where my diamonds would be. I then blended every section from black to white using my acrylic paints and my bamboo brush (really, really, really time consuming may I add.) I then used different shades of blue and a blob of Hema's 'Happy Silver' polish in the center to try and make them gleam. I finished it all off with my Pro-FX top coat but didn't really like the out come so on went the matte top coat by Wet 'N' Wild!

What do you think of my manicure? Whilst I was photographing it I noticed that through the camera it appeared almost like an optical illusion, it was rather trippy!

Two Patterns Mixed Flower Nail Art Water Decals (Paisley & Abstract) - Born Pretty Store Review

How are you all doing today? I hope you are having a good week and good weather too for that matter. South Holland is so indecisive right now, do you want to rain or not?! Make up your mind so I know if I need to bring an umbrella! :)

Before we get to the nails, I'd just like to tell you guys about something that happened yesterday. Something I find pretty awesome and which totally put a smile on my face. YouQueen featured me in an article they posted! The article is 'Top 13 nail bloggers you must follow' (click link, I'm featured at #01). I was delighted when they contacted me to take part and of course said yes – what I didn't know was who the other bloggers would be. So when I saw the wonderful and talented ladies who also featured in the article I was gobsmacked to be paired in the same article as them!! Literally, I've been a huge fan of these ladies for absolutely ever so I feel really honored! Thanks to everyone who continues to follow me on my nail adventures!!

Back to business! If you can call it that, when is nail art ever a chore..or  business?! Today I am reviewing 'Two Patterns Mixed Flower Nail Art Water Decals' from the Born Pretty Store.

Firstly I want to say.. I think this is a first for me, If I am not mistake..to have two designs on one sheet like this... One design features a very delicate pinky-red paisley looking pattern and the other a mix of pink and what looks like minty green sketchy, abstract, doodle patterns with another light grey background pattern with love hearts and all sorts of shapes. You get enough to wear each pattern on all your nails but you also have the possibility of mixing and matching which is quite nice! I had no trouble applying these decals, which is what I normally find with water decals from The Born Pretty Store.

I totally love both designs but you guys know I love my arty looking nails which is why I opted to show you this set. I also paired them with my first ever 'Wet 'N' Wilds' nail polishes from a dear friend in America!

Elegant Silver Peach Blossom Nail Art Decorations - Born Pretty Store Review

How are you doing today? I hope you had a fantastic week, do you have anything awesome planned for the weekend?

I want to turn the whole bedroom upside down and clean the way I like. Literally by throwing everything in a pile and starting over again, ha! Bring on the anti-bac wipes! I do feel like a good spring clean. There are also so many darting trophies that are practically dust magnets. Its time to clean from top to bottom!

Of course there will be some time for some more freehand painting at some point!

Greyscale Acrylic-Gradients And Rainbow Love Hearts

How are you all doing today? Happy mid week to you all. Did you get up to anything interesting so far?

I feel like I've just been plodding along so far, better make today more interesting!
Today I have another 'acrylic-gradient' style manicure for you. I feel like I am happiest when I am playing with paint... My manicures used to feature about 4-5 different nail polishes..now I cover them all up or they are already white to start with.. Oops!

For this manicure I began with just a single polish, Barry M's 'White' – what am I going to do when I run out of this?! I then created a greyscale gradient (Or acrylic-gradient as I've taken to calling them) on all my nails excluding my ring finger using black, white and grey acrylic paint. I then went over those nails and made some white hearts and tried carefully to create a rainbow inside each one. On my ring finger I reversed this by doing a rainbow acrylic-gradient for the whole nail and added a black heart with stars inside. I sealed everything off with my beloved Pro-FX top coat but I also tested it in matte too using Barry M's matte top coat – which do you like best?

I really like how this turned out, I really love pairing dark colours with bursts of colour, I think it is so eye catching.

Freehand Stud And Lines Pattern

I hope you are doing good today? This manicure was actually made before I went to England so probably like 5/6 weeks old and before the new camera!

Today I have a manicure for you which came from nowhere! I hadn't intended to paint when this was created. I thought, ah... I'll just chill out this evening, watch some shows. Grab and early night. But I figured I could also just have a little experiment with colours on a piece of paper. Well, It didn't end there and then I randomly created this. Suuuurprise!

For this manicure I began with two coats of Barry M's 'White' and created a gradient using Lady Venezia's 'PURPLE', One's '#31' and Dorothy L's '#312'. I applied my Catrice 'Gel Effect' top coat on top and added a few random studs. Next I took my 'white' acrylic and started to 'cube' my studs and extend them into random lines! I finished off by adding another layer of top coat and finished with my Barry M 'Matte Top Coat'.

Its just liiiiines! But I think it is quite eye catching, don't you? Someone said to me that they think it looks a little like an Aztec design, what do you think?

Freehand Kawaii Kimmidoll Nail Art

How are you doing today? Tell me one lovely thing that's happened in your life so far this new year :) I can tell you that one lovely thing to change for me in the new year is my new painting desk. You may have seen it before on IG or FB but I'll include it at the bottom of my post for those who have not seen it.

Today I have another freehand design which was created whilst I was back home in England.

This is inspired by the ever so cute Kimmidolls, beautiful little and unique dolls inspired by Eastern culture.

Through The Keyhole - Freehand Wood and Swan Nail Art

How are you doing today? Today Mr Bravo and I will head back to Holland. I always hate saying goodbye to my family at the airport...It somehow never gets much easier. But I had a wonderful time at home. Now its time to go back and get serious with my goals.

Anyway, Today I have some nail art I was really proud of.. until I have to come to a really tricky dilemma. Do I used the top coat I normally use for my acrylic designs even though it was almost out and on the sticky side... or use the new Barry M one that seemed to darken all my acrylic paint...?

Sadly I went for the first option and this piece came riddled with micro bubbles... I was really pleased with it before I saw the pictures! I'm still going to share it with you because I like the concept and colours.

For this manicure I really only used one nail polish which you can not even see. I used my regular 'Nail Envy' base coat from OPI and once dry applied two coats of Rimmels 'Rain Rain, Go Away' which... seems really random now but my white is kinda depleted (Why does everything run out all at the same time? - does that happen to you?) I created everything else with acrylic paint.

I wanted this to look like you could be looking through a keyhole into a beautiful fantasy land with a gorgeous sunset and a calming swan lake.

Freehand Fluff Monster (With Flocking)

How are you doing today? I hope your week is going well. I can't believe my four week long trip back home to England is almost over, we fly back on Sunday.

Today's nail art was actually an idea from... god know how long ago. I was lucky enough to win a nail art contest from Minnie at Nail Bee's blog a while ago, there where quite a few different coloured fluffy flocking powders and I had been dying to use them ever since I got them but I just couldn't think what to fluffify. I tried teddy bears and I just wasn't happy with the out come (on my part)... then this guy came along. I call him... Sir Chomps-A-Lot.

I used only two polishes for this manicure, Rimmel's  'Peachella' and 'Wild-er-ness'. I decided to do a mixture of things for this manicure, a gradient and some blobbicure-ness. I created Sir Chomps-A-Lot with acrylic paint and once dry decided to test out the orange flocking powder. I think it actually suits him. I could have perhaps built it up a little more in places..

Unfortunately by the time I'd finished with my flocking powder my blobbicures had bubbled spectacularly. Oh well..

Do you prefer Sir Chomps-a-lot naked or with his orange fur suit? Are you a fan of blobbicures?

Christmas-y Polar Bear And Penguins - Freehand Nail Art

How are you today? Can you believe its only 4 days until Christmas? Are you feeling excited?! I sure am! Today I have a freehand design for you, very appropriate for this time of year. My inspiration came from thisreally cute Pin on Pinterest. When I saw it I just knew I wanted to try and recreate it!

I also decided to enter this into the Born Pretty Store's xmas nail contest - My entry is #197 - there is currently 386 entries as I am writing this, what a turn out!

For this manicure I began with two coats of Nails Inc's 'Colville Mews' and once dry began to create a gradient using Barry M's 'Sky Blue' and HD Nails #3. I added a thin coat of Zoya's 'Maisie' (God I love this flaky so hard, I've almost killed the bottle) and applied my Catrice gel effect top coat.

Once everything was entirely dry I began to create my little friends with acrylic paint and my favorite bamboo brush. Finally I sealed them all in with a final layer of Catrice top coat and Barry M's matte top coat.

I'm ok about how this turned out. My only issue is that you can't see Mr Bears back foot so well which is a shame since it was all cute and pinky..and flooffy...

Freehand Northern Lights

How are you today? I had a lovely birthday, thank you so much for all the kind messages! Today we're putting the Christmas tree up - Yay, I've been waiting for this!

Today I have a manicure that I think looks a little weird, I don't really know why I tried it when I actually thought I wouldn't be able to do it, haha...uh.. Well I have it a go, that's all I can say.

Here is my attempt at a Northern Lights sky. Why didn't I add snow?! This would have been so much better with snow!

For this manicure I began with my favorite base coat, OPI's 'Nail Envy' and once dried I applied two coats of Barry M's 'White' to create my gradient. I added some glue around my nails so I could easily peel off any mess left behind from my gradient. I then created my gradient using Catrice's 'Blurred Limes', Barry M's 'Damson' and Tip Tops Nail...I forgot the colour, forgive me! I then created everything else with my acrylic paints and bamboo brush and added a little sparkle from OPI's 'Snowflakes In The Air' for a finishing touch. As usual I sealed everything in with my Catrice 'Gel Effect' top coat.

This was my first time trying to do something like a reflection on water, I wouldn't say it was maybe the best attempt I could have done but I think it came out fairly 'ok'?

Sooo Many Trippy Acrylic Rainbows

How are we today? What have you gotten up to this weekend? I painted! I didn't like it! I don't know, I need to do more exciting things so I have more to talk about :)

Today I have a really weird manicure to show you... I was in two minds about posting this simply because it looks weird...and not necessarily neat. The aim was to have a rainbow gradient in stripes. But every line has a gradient. I think its too much and my black outlining (It was supposed to be wavey and artsy - I can see how that translates to 'hot mess')... I don't know.. I'll let you judge.

I used only my regular base coat of OPI's Nail Envy and Barry M's 'White' for a clean healthy base.

Everything else was created with acrylic paint. Yep. All those lines and gradients...I finished up by adding my favorite top coat for acrylic paint which is Catrice's gel effect top coat. I just wish I had pictured this matte!!

Some kind of crazy wonderment or chaotic mess? I'll let you guys be the judge of that. I feel like the kid that not only found the box of crayons but put them all in her mouth at the same time.

Flower Falls Inlove - Freehand Disney Nail Art

How are you doing today? I hope you've had a lovely weekend – what did you get up to?

I have to ask you... do you remember the scene from Bambi (I cry so bad at Disney films!) where Bambi, Thumper and Flower find their mates? I have a clip below to refresh your mind if you can't.

Really wanted to catch the cuteness of when Flower meets his... girlfriend? She's peeking out through the flowers at him and he is enchanted by her. Well.. lets turn that into nail art!

For this manicure I began with my regular base coat of OPI's 'Nail Envy' and applied two coats of Barry M's 'Meadow' from the silk collection. Next I created a gradient using piCture pOlish's 'pshiiit ' and 'Jade'. I created the rest with my acrylic paints and bamboo brush. I sponged on a little of Hema's 'Green Circus' glitter topper and finished by adding two coats of Catrice's gel effect top coat to smooth everything out.

I'm pretty happy with how I did this nail art - I wish I had done a slightly more careful job with the flowers, but it turned out better than I first expected even if I did have to start the females face over!

Freehand Elemental Fox Nail Art

How are you doing today? Did you have a fun weekend?

Some of you may of seen this nail art if you follow me on facebook, but I know some of you might like to see some freehandedness.

This manicure was actually created for a nail art contest over at Minnie's blog, NailBees. Minnie throws some really cool contests that have such fun and creative themes. The theme for this challenge was animal nail art. As you guys know, I've done quite a lot of animal nail art in the past but it is seriously one of my favourite things to paint so it made sense to join in! So I decided to do a fox, I hope he at least looks like a fox..

For this manicure I began with two coats of Catrice's 'C(h)ome, Leon' and Jacava's 'Shawfield Street'.I created everything else with my acrylic paints. I wanted it to look sort of earthy and fiery all at the same time. I think the colours are quite fitting for fall, huh? I finished it all off with a luscious lick of Catrice's gel effect top coat.

Freehand Rolling Country Side

How are you today? I hope you are doing well! Have you had a good weekend so far? This time next week I'll be back in England, wahoo! I love going to see my fam-mah-leh.

Today I have another manicure, yep, once again inspired by this Pin on Pinterest. This beautiful picture really caught my eye as it reminded me of the English countryside! I did make a little alteration, less trees and a decidedly bluer sky for a happy look.

For this manicure I began with two coats of Barry M's 'Coconut'. I then created a gradient with Mary Kay's 'Blue Lotus', NYC's 'Staten Island Blues' and 'Coconut' for the tips. I then used my acrylic paints to create the scenery. I finished it all off with a lick of Catrice's gel effect top coat.

I've been using my Oumaxi paints but also from a brand called 'DoCrafts' – they are really reasonably priced and so so much easier to blend with. I only have 3 colours so I hope to add to that one day. Since I've been using them my Oumaxi paints seem considerably harder to blend.

Freehand Ocean Mosaics

How are you doing today? I hope you are having a good Monday, are you being productive? Today calls for a little stop at the Mini mall, house cleaning and hopefully some nails. More importantly I need a lot of pc time for emails and editing things.

I don't wanna say too much about this manicure but this is what I meant before, about being so inconsistant. You look, you see, you make your own minds up. That proves to be wiser than me writing something off and never sharing it with you :)

For this manicure I began with two coats of Barry M's 'Coconut' and began making sectioned off lines with my white acrylic paint. I then proceeded to fill in these spaces using a mixture of acrylic colours and some glitter from Hema's 'Green Circus' and Barry M's 'VIP. I then went back over my lines to get the sections to stand out.

If I hadn't been like a yeti with a paint brush it could have been quite pretty perhaps!? I'm just not fond of the general mess and very unneat lines with this manicure.

Birds At Sunset - Freehand Nail Fail Art

How are you today? I hope you've been doing great, it's been an odd start to the week for me. I've been feeling a little funny on and off... I am beginning its something to do with the painting they did in the house at the weekend. Some of us have been having weird headaches.  I have some nails that I am really really displeased with today.. I hate showing you things that I don't think are good enough, it really makes my brain go weird :( I created this last time I was in England, I loved the idea and I know its hardly original but I made such a sloppy mess of it. My lines aren't even straight, Argh! Just hate, hate, hatin'.

For this manicure I began by creating a gradient (If you can call it that..) using Barry M's 'Supersonic', One's #31 #37 and Dorothy L's #312. I then went straight in with black acrylic paint and created something that is not worthy of your eyes and time. I added a bit of glitter here and there, not sure why, because it doesn't look right.

I very almost didn't post this but normally when I hate something people seem to like it, strange how it works. I don't think this will be the case this time around. I'm having real trouble with my painting mojo; I spent most of today on and off building on a design that in the end pretty much came to nothing.
