How are you all doing today? I hope you had an amazing start to your week.

I'm just getting back into routine, my weekend trip was amazing. Storm Brian actually wasn't too bad where we stayed. We had showers and strong wind but it didn't rule the weekend or leave us trapped in doors like we had feared. I had to stay in a bunk bed because my sister was worried the kids might fall out of it if they stayed in there and I am pleased to tell you I only bumped my head once! I'll add some pictures to the bottom of the post for those of you who are interested!

On to nails now though, today I am going to be showing you some 'Eyes Gradient Water Decal' from BeautyBigBang.com – I've got a few more reviews after this one to share with you but then I have decided to no longer review for the BornPrettyStore or Beautybigbang.

Plaid In Purple

How are you all doing today?

I may have mentioned it before but I am part of a fantastic nail group on Facebook called Tiny Canvas (Seriously, the nicest bunch of ladies from all around the world – no horrible critiquing or judgement just a group full of love and support for all those who are passionate about nail art! )

At Tiny Canvas they do a weekly challenge where everybody can join it although it is not mandatory. A couple of weeks back they have a plaid theme and I decided to enter – you saw one manicure already but this was the second. I really wanted to get some line practice in!

I began with my favorite base coat, OPI's Nail Envy and once dry I applied three coats of NYC's 'Classy Creamy'. I then made a gradient using acrylic paint (Doesn't seem like I ever make polish gradients anymore, huh?) And added my plaid pattern using a striping brush to create my baselines and my detailing brush in attempt to clean up any wobbles!

I'm not that sure if this manicure really 'works' but it was fun to join in and any practice is good!

Another note - what do you think of my new watermark/logo? kinda ties the whole blog together, don't you think?

The Casino Of Bling

I'm back! Oh my goodness. What a hellish two weeks with domain trouble, the flu...
Hopefully that  is the end of that, now I can get back on track and we can enjoy our nail polish adventures! I missed you guys. Don't worry, I've got a nice amount of posts prepared! 
Thanks to those of you who cared or worried I had quit blogging or something was wrong. I did my best let everyone know via social media but its not the same! 

Today I have a manicure that became so far from the original idea in my head. At first it was going to be pretty simple. Then I went all out and decided to go crazy with it. You'll see what I mean.

This ain't one of your manicures that last long when your doing your laundry! I'm really bad at making anything equal, If I think of it simply they are all just squares branching off of other squares.. so square shapes shouldn't be that hard but look at those angles!!

For this manicure I began with Barry M's 'Black polish and layered with Nyx Girls 'Frizzy Spots' – Still a polish I am obsessed with after purchasing so long ago! I then added some white little dice with acrylic paints and my bamboo brush and once dry added my Catrice gel effect top coat.

I then moved onto my ring finger which had been left with just the plain black polish. I took one of these cute little studs I had lying around from the Born Pretty Store and covered it with white acrylic paint (don't worry, I've got more of them!) I then added some teeny tiny dots to mimic a die..or dice.. and began encrusting with all different gems.

This is maybe how you feel when you walk out of a casino after a big win. KER-CHING, BLING!

As I mentioned.. this is more of a little creative fun then something I would actually wear!

Freehand Birthday Care Bear Nail Art - Retro!

How are you doing today? Boy, do I have a random bit of nail art for you today! Since tomorrow is my birthday so I thought I'd take it out on my nails. I'm just excited to be home with my family for it! I already recieved a beautiful bracelet from Mr Bravo, a delicate chain with a sparkly 'Infinity' charm, or as he said.. Ithinity - aww! And on the night of my birthday I'll get to see my 5 year old niece in her first ever school Christmas play!

So... In the end I randomly decided to go retro (because I'm so old now, boohoo) with the birthday Care Bear. Why not, right? Its mah party, I'll care(bear) if I want toooo...

For this manicure I began with two coats of Model's Own 'Blueberry Muffin' and once dry I added NYX Girls 'Dreamy Glitter'. I hate saying this because I know its not helpful... but everything else was created with my trusty two brushes and acrylic paint. I finished by sealing it all in with two coats of Catrice top coat.

I was pleasantly surprised by how my Care Bear came out. I only had to start over once and luckily my polish was entirely dry so I could just wet-erase it right off and start over!

The Stargazer

Are you having a great weekend? I have to say mine has been quite quiet, last night I turned our bedroom into a horror scene as I was sat cutting up feathers for a future manicure! Today we're looking forward to a family Chinese meal together – always delicious! And for me, probably my last real 'naughty food' before I start my diet and exercise up again. Anyhoo! Today's post comes with extra love and thank you's to Gelic. I was lucky enough to win a give away she hosted recently containing some beautiful H&M nail polishes... Of course I had to try them out! Gelic always has such unique and wonderful idea's, check her blog out if you haven’t already!

On all my nails except my ring finger I used two coats of H&M's Matte Silver. I then applied W7's 'Matte Black' to the centers in a ruffian style before adding a generous lick of NYX Girls 'Frizzy Spots' on top. Using tape I added some more silver to the tips of my nails and criss crossed in black using Kisses Nail Art Striper Pens (Which I am loving more and more) On my ring finger I applied the black and glitter and added a few star gems. I called this the stargazer because the patches of glitter remind me of window shapes :)

Do you think Silver and black is a classic winner? What do you think of this matte and glitter combination?

A Little Galaxy

How are you doing, did you have a good weekend? For once I am excited its Monday because that means Mr Bravo will be home in a couple of hours, wahoo, I can't wait :) Today I am showing you a light pastel Galaxy manicure. Inspiration came from thenailasaurus tutorial which is brilliant. I am looking forward to trying some darker and deeper galaxy nails in the future.

For this manicure I used the following polishes: Barry M 'Prickly Pear', Essie's 'Mint Candy Apple', Model's Own 'Banana Split', Picture Polishe's 'Twinkle' and 'Mirage'. I added acrylic stars (Next time more stars!) and Nyx's 'Dreamy Glitter' minus the star glitter. I finished it off with a coat coating of Hema's Matte top coat.

What do you think of my subtle first attempt at a galaxy nail? I think it could be more galaxy-ish but hey ho!

Time to go finish the laundry and wait at the window like a sad little love-puppy!

Sweet Dreams Are Made of... Unicorns

Hows your week going? I intended to post a lot sooner but I had something that was just picking at my mind. I knew how I wanted my manicure to look but getting it to it to look JUST like I had imagined it in my mind was problematic. Do you ever have that? Well after three attempts I can honestly say I want to eat my own hand, I am so disappointed. I am so unhappy with this look but wanted to post something for you. Maybe this is a lesson to myself because sometimes when I try too hard I seem to do awfully as opposed to when I am relaxed and chilled.

Please please, please, excuse the messy cuticles, the sponging was a nightmare to tidy up.

I started with two coats of China Glaze 'Light as Air' and roughly dabbed on Picture Polishes 'Twinkle' onto all of my nails. On all fingers apart from my Thumb and Middle finger I also dabbed on Picture Polishes 'Mirage'. I wanted this to be a rough dabbing of colour so it almost looked floaty and cloud like as opposed to a gradient blend. I then added NYX Girls 'Dreamy Glitter' and stamped in Nubar's 'White Tip' with the fabulous Nail Craze 02 Magical plate. The next thing I post has to be 100% prettier than this!!

What do you guys think of this look? Is it dreamy or just a mess?
