Sweetie Water Marble

Allo polish Pals,
How are you doing today? I hope you had a great weekend? I had a lovely time with my family, playing cards and being merry. Today however I have woken up with one eye completely puffed up – why? No idea! I may need to fit in a doctors appointment into my baby sitting schedule today. Anyway, today I have my first water marble of the year and I was actually pleased with how it turned out; The clean up doesn't look quite to my perfection standards and please excuse my weird index nail, its currently in nail rehab with a tea bag on it!

For this manicure I began with two coats of Barry M's 'Matte White' and used the following polishes for my marble, Barry M's 'Rose Hip', 'Huckleberry' and Sally Hansen's 'Purple Heart'. I finished it off with some white dots and one of my Born Pretty Store studs (I will take any excuse to wear these!) I finished off with OPI's top coat.

What do you think of my light pastel water marble? Are you a fan of water marble nails?
Have a great day!

Purple Rain, Puuurple Rain! ~ Water Marble

Allo polish Pals!
How are you today, did you have a good Valentine's Day? I hope your having a great weekend! Today I've been quite productive shifting through laundry and tidying up. Tomorrow Mr Bravo is taking me to meet some of his long-time friends and I'm feeling really nervous! I'm actually a really shy person and I'm always a little jittery when I have introductions. I'm sure we will have a great time and it will be great for Mr Bravo to catch up :) I also found time to test out one of the beautiful Fogan polishes my sister-in-law gave me and I am in love!
Mr Bravo thought of the post name. Purple rain for a water marble manicure...
I started with two coats of Barry M's 'Prickly Pear' on all my nails and created a water marble using Fearne polish 'High Tide' and Forgan #16. I really love how the colours melted together in some places and almost became their own shade. I then added some candy studs from The Born Pretty Store and added some trailing dots in alternating colours.

I've only tried a couple of the Fogan nail polishes from the set of 24 my Sister-in-law kindly gave me but so far I am really liking them!

What do you think of this manicure? Have you created a marble manicure so far this year?
Have a great weekend!

It's A Boy! I'm An Auntie Again!

Allo polish Pals!
How are you today, have you got any new year plans lined up? Squeal! I have had a very exciting day! My day started with a phone call at 4am from my sister to tell me that her baby was on the way. It's been crazy since I woke up, looking after my Niece while my Sister and Brother-in-law were at the hospital. Finally tonight me and my family were able to visit her and I got to meet my new Nephew and I can tell you He is simply gorgeous! Weighing 8.1lb's and named Albie! Here's some 'Its a boy!' nail art (Even though I already knew it was a boy! :D )
'A' For Albie ♥
I wanted to keep with a traditional blue theme for a boy. I started with two coats of Model's Own's 'Blueberry Muffin' on all my nails. I then created a water marble on my index, middle and pinkie using Blueberry Muffin and Sally Hansen's 'Ressurection'. My middle finger was not to my liking so I did another marble over the top and I actually liked the crossing lines. I created the bear on my thumb using acrylic paints and based it on the 'From Me To You' bears. Since I left the stitching detail off the bear I decided to add it to my ring finger and add an 'A' for Albie :)
I only used one brush... If I had different varying sizes that would have helped so much.

What do you think of my blue baby manicure? Have you created teddy bear nails?
I can't wait until my sister and Albie come home so I can have lots more cuddles with him! What a beautiful way to start the new year ~ With a new family member!

Have a great day

Phoenix Feather's Water Marble Nails

Allo polish Pals!
How are you doing today? I hope your having a great week, we're almost at the weekend again, phew! I'm recovering from my cold again and decided that with the drab gloomy weather here in Holland I needed something warm and vibrant on my fingies! Today's manicure is inspired by the legendary Phoenix! It occurred to me after I finished this that phoenixes may not appreciate the fact I chose to do a water marble.. Don't get a phoenix wet if you want to be in its good books!

On my ring finger I painted two coats of Rimmel's 'Reggae Splash' and created a phoenix feather using Mash nail art pen in black for the stem and China Glaze's 'Red Satin', DA '#202' and DA '# 205' for the feathers. On my other nails I painted two coats of China Glaze's 'Sunshine Pop!' and created a water marble using Picture Polishes 'Fake Tan' and China Glaze 'Red Satin'. I finished by adding a few pinky diamond 'Gleequins' from the Born Pretty Store.

I chose to use the Gleequins as whenever I move my hand in the light they just sparkle like floating embers! I just thought it was too pretty not to pair together!

What do you think of my flamey water marble? Have you tried a marble with warm colours?

Have a wonderful day!

Girly & Swirly Water Marble

Allo polish Pals!
How are you today? Are you feeling the fall-weather yet? Today I braved the rough waters in two ways. Its been raining here non stop so I'm enjoying the cosy feeling of being inside. I also attempted another water marble!

For this manicure I started with two coats of W7's White on all my nails apart from my ring-ding finger. I then created a soft water marble with Essie's 'Muchi Muchi' and 'Lapiz Of Luxury'. On my ring finger I applied two coats of 'Muchi Muchi' and added two coats of Ozotic's Sugar #903. I finished off by applying to little half pearl type gems.

There's a few little things I'm not happy with... like the polish dribble on my middle finger but over all I found this marble session pretty stress free!

What do you think of this look? Have you tried a soft-look water marble?

Have a great day, lovelies.

Holographic Hazy Water Marble

Allo polish Pals!
How are we all doing? I hope your having a fantastic weekend so far! Just a quick post today ~ I have a sleepy-weekend feeling and I'm looking forward to climbing into bed and listening to the thunder and rain So relaxing!  Guest Bloggers: To those of you who have already applied I will be sending you the date for when your post will go live over the weekend/start of the week. If you interested in applying for a guest blog spot there is still time!
Today I am showing you a manicure featuring some small hexagon studs which is the first product I have tried from the Born Pretty Store. I'm loving these beauties!

For some reason my camera decided to be a douche, sorry!
I started with two luscious coats of Color Club's 'Harp On It' on all my nails. Then to create a simple (Ie: I didn't swirl the colours, similar to when I did my parrot manicure) water marble manicure I used Models Own 'Grey Day' and W7's 'White' and 'Black'. I then carefully used tweezers to add the studs along the black polish.
I noticed something which is completely accidental... Where Model's Own 'Grey Day' and holographic beauty 'Harp On It' meet it blended and softened so unusually. I really love the hazy look they made together!

What do you guys think of this manicure? Do you like the grey-scale paired with a holographic polish?

Have a wonderful weekend, beauties.

Shocking Pink, Kiss-kiss Water Marble and Gradient

Allo my polish Pals!
How are you doing today? Hope all is good with you! I'm feeling pretty good right now. My summer cold is finally going away and I'm full of idea's for nail art. Wahoo! Today I'm showing you some love with a kissy water marble/gradient manicure! Are you ready for some bright pinks? Lets get our Barbie on!

Once again, battling with lighting technicalities

I'm going to like my next nail art better! There's determination for you!
I'm actually really disappointed with this manicure but shh. I'm sure you can work out why; my gradient was just not too good. I did the same colors the night before and the gradient was perfect. But oh well, can't have it all! I am however happy with how my middle finger turned out!

For the water marbles I started with two coats of China Glaze's 'Nude' and used Essie's 'Cascade Cool' (On of my all time favorite pinks!) Picture Polishes 'Water Melon' and Model's Own 'Bubblegum'. On the gradient nails I used Herôme's light pink and all of the above colors. I finally finished it off by adding 'xox' kisses with Mash nail art pen in white.

How are you guys liking this hot pink ensemble? Are you a sucker for shocking pinks?

Enjoy the rest of your day my lovelies!

Pretty Polly! Parrot Nails With Water Marble & Gradients

Allo polish Pals!
I hope your week is going well. Today I have a very colourful look for you! I really want to apologise for not blogging sooner. I planned to, I had lots of ideas for this week but I couldn't foresee how things where going to turn out. I could go on a massive moan/rant but I wont. I'll just say the dog got really sick and needed an emergency operation. Luckily she is doing better now and getting back to her old self. The stress has caused my stomach issues to flare up like a demon; the sleepless nights with my partner and I worrying about her + the heat and of course the major lighting situation.. But I said I wouldn't rant right? :D

Apologies for the picture quality and lighting...
I think this time it will be easier if I name by colours so I've included a list! This is a mixture of gradients, nail art, and water marble but what I did different this time with my water marble was that I didn't mix the colours. I kept the circles because I wanted really bold defined lines. I added Picture Polishes 'Hypnotic' on top of my middle finger gradient.

Green Models Own 'Toxic Apple'
Blue China Glaze 'Sunday Funday'
Yellow China Glaze 'Sunshine Pop!'
Orange Picture Polish 'Fake Tan'
Red China Glaze 'Red Satin'
Parrot I used all of the above colours and using my Mash Nail pens in white and black.

If you've ever been interested in water marbling then I'm sure you've googled tips/videos. Well here's a fact. I know nothing about how to do it. Since my last water marble I've had several failed attempts. Today I did something that everyone recommends. I used cold tap water and surprisingly it worked better then the last time with room temperature water. What the... I don't get it. I'll just say what works for me sometimes then randomly doesn't work the next time. Tis a mystery!

What do you guys think of my extremely bright parrot look? What do you prefer, gradients or water marbles?

Look after yourselves!

Tropical Fruity Water Marble

Allo Lovelies!
I hope your having a fantastic weekend whatever your planning; If the weather behaving for you?
If your skies are grey I have something to brighten it for you. Today's post is a tropical water marble! This is the first water marble I have attempted since my move to Holland, I rather like it!

I started with two coats of China Glaze Nude (A perfect base for water marble!) I then used Picture Polish 'Fake Tan', 'Water Melon' and China Glaze for the water marble. I thought this manicure needed a touch of something else so using the same colours I added some dots and little hearts into the design. I then finished with a topcoat of Seche Vite as per usual.

What do you guys think of this cheery bright water marble manicure? Have you attempted one of these? How did it turn out for you?

Enjoy your weekend!

Ithi's Attempted Marble-Fail.

Allo polish Pals!
How are you all doing, did you have a fantastic weekend? This weekend I decided to revisit something I have failed at on a couple of occasions. I in fact got so stressed out previously trying to do this that I didn't attempt for maybe around 6 months? I finally cracked out the polish and pot of water and attempted yet again to successfully do water marble nails. Did it work? I'm not so sure..
A Very Messy Attempt..
The Cuticle Mess Was Very Tricky To Clean.
