3D Pop Up Christmas Card Nails

Allo polish Pals

And a very Merry Christmas to you all! I hope you have a wonderful day, be it celebrating with friends or family, enjoying a lovely meal together or if you are going out – whatever you plans I hope it is a super special one!

Also on the plus side.. Yesterday was an awesome day for me. A customer called me adorable and then work told me they want to keep me on after Christmas. I wont be down in the cosmetics/fragrance section, I'll be upstairs working in woman's wear. I'm so happy!
I'll keep the chit chat in today's post short and sweet but do come say hi in the comments if you have time!

Penguin & Bling Nail Art

Allo polish Pals!

How are you all doing today? I hope you had an awesome weekend, did you get up to anything fun?

I had a lovely birthday on Saturday, it was quiet and cosy but just perfect. Since I wont be able to see my niece in her school play (she got a main character role!) she did a performance of it for me, she may be only seven but I was so impressed with how well she's learnt her lines.

In the evening I had a cheeky Chinese and wine with my family. There was also time for some nail art which is good as I've lost my day off today and will be working pretty much non stop through Christmas, minus actual Christmas day of course.

Today's nail art came from a lack of inspiration.. I feel like I am not producing my best work lately, I'm not sure if my creativity is a little damp from working but hey. It'll come back!

I hope you are all having a great week so far? I'm back in work today for another nice long shift, I am really enjoying these longer working days, originally I was only penned in for 9-3 but I am now working on until 6. Yay for over time! I feel like the longer I am in, the more frequently I am in the faster I am getting the hang of things.

Today's nail art is one I am undecided on.. I mean... I liked the idea but I feel my execution let me down a little bit. Also I hadn't planned it out too well, I'll explain later on in the post. Anyway though.. those festive feels are flowing quite nicely!

How are you all doing today? I hope you had an awesome weekend! 14 days until Christmas, how many of you are ready? I'm sat here with Deezer's Christmas play list on!

I'm 90% through with hand painting my third card, 10% through my final fourth Christmas card, I've begun present wrapping and I feel very well prepared. I'm not the kind of person to leaves things to the last minute (can't take the stress and panic!)

Talking of Christmas today I'm kickin' off the festive nail art, I know you guys have been concerned that I hadn't posted any yet but don't worry, I got this. Later in the post I also have a little story to tell you, an experience from work last week.

Freehand Christmas Snowman & Rabbit Holo Nail Art

Allo polish Pals
How are you all doing today? Are you excited for Christmas?!

This year I'll be posting again on Christmas day, since my blog schedule just happens to fall on the actual day I figured I may as well post!

For today thought I've got two more little snow buddies to share with you, I wanted to have a very delicate and pretty holo manicure so I decided to really only paint on two nails. You'll see what I mean. This manicure was inspired by this picture I found on Pinterest.

For this manicure I began with my Mezmris Nail Lacquer base coat, Armor Up and once dry I applied two coats of Le Beaut in no.24 in a dusty lilac shade – this was a polish my mum bought for me during her last holiday to Greece, I can't find much information about the brand! Once this was dry I added a delicate, thin coat of Polish Me, Royalty!'s 'Unicornucopia' which added a beautiful holographic sparkle. I then freehanded my snowman and rabbit using my fave Pure Color brush in #9 and finished off by sealing it all in with two coats of Mezmris Nail Lacquer's 'Armor'.

What do you guys think of this manicure? It was sort of nice to do something detailed but without having to do EEEEVERY nail. How lazy does that sound? I still spent a lot of time on those two nails, ha!

I'm off to a Christmas concert later today with my sister-in-law, I'm excited!

I hope you guys have a beautiful day, Let me know in the comments what you are getting upto! I'll be back on Sunday...Christmas day, wahoo!!

Mezmris Nail Lacquer: A Christmas Cracker Swatch

Allo polish Pals!

How are you all doing? I hope you had a fantastic weekend! Today's post is going to be set up a little differently, since I got home late last night I thought we'd have a really chilled post. Even though I get my posts written up days before I need to post I feel like going easy, that's ok, isn't it?

I'll show you a super duper sparkler of a polish but I am not going to do my usual review style for this one. I'll tell you out right that is a smashing 10/5 stars.

Today I am showing you 'A Christmas Cracker' from Mezmris Nail Lacquer's Christmas collection.
If you were lucky enough to get your hands on any of the polishes in the collection well done because they are real beauties!

Before applying this polish I first applied a coat of Mezmris Nail Lacquer's 'Armor Up' base coat. Mine had run out recently and I had been dying to get my hands on another bottle. My nails absolutely love the nourishing formula.

'A Christmas Cracker' is a beautiful holo polish with heaps of gold, silver and red glitter. Its an absolute dazzler and I don't think it takes much explaining as to how its become one of my top 10 in my entire nail polish collection. You'll see from the video I've added how beautiful the holo is in the light. It also applies incredibly smooth and although I thought I was going to need a lot of coats to get this to cover my horrifically yellow nails I found that two coats was absolutely perfect. I found the dry time to be equally as pleasing. Because I had extra time to kill I did add a third coat, why? I'm not really sure. I was besotted.. it was love at first sight. I followed up with Mezmris Nail Lacquer's 'Armor' top coat which not only set the holo off even more but also have it a very glossy and glassy look.

I feel like Mezmris have really captured the sparkle and magic of Christmas with this polish, for me it is everything.. its shiny crackers, its the twinkly star on top of the tree, its the sparkle of tinsel... Its just such a festive looking polish!

What do you guys think of this glitzy Christmas holo? Have you tried any Mezmris Nail Lacquer products yet?

I hope you have a wonderful day, Thank you for visiting! Don't forget to leave you thoughts and comments below :)

Freehand Vintage Christmas Reindeer

Allo polish Pals,
How are you today? Are you excited for Christmas?! I can't believe how fast this year has gone!
Strangely my blog schedule falls on Christmas day so there will be a post from me! But I will be offline enjoying my family time. Of course I doubt many of you will see it on the day – I hope you will all be enjoying family time and having too much fun!

That is my favorite thing about Christmas, having everyone I love all together - Of course that's not quite so easy when two families are in different countries. I'm glad to be back in England with my family but I really love Mr Bravos family, my adoptive Dutch family.

While I was looking for Christmas ideas for nail art I fell in love with these super cute vintage styled reindeer, In many pictures they have bows or bells around their necks... Don't they look cute?

For this manicure I began with my usual base coat of OPI's 'Nail Envy' and once dry added two good coats of Barry M's 'White' for a solid base. Here I get to say that really annoying line again, “Then I created everything else with my acrylic paint and trusty brush” - Hopefully next year I can show you more of how I actually create things. I added some holly and attempted some rather scruffy looking writing (I must work on this..) I finished off by sealing it all in with two coats of Catrice's gel effect top coat.

What do you think of my vintage reindeer? Do you have any family traditions or plans for the big day?

Have a fabulous day!

Christmas-y Polar Bear And Penguins - Freehand Nail Art

Allo polish Pals!
How are you today? Can you believe its only 4 days until Christmas? Are you feeling excited?! I sure am! Today I have a freehand design for you, very appropriate for this time of year. My inspiration came from thisreally cute Pin on Pinterest. When I saw it I just knew I wanted to try and recreate it!

I also decided to enter this into the Born Pretty Store's xmas nail contest - My entry is #197 - there is currently 386 entries as I am writing this, what a turn out!
For this manicure I began with two coats of Nails Inc's 'Colville Mews' and once dry began to create a gradient using Barry M's 'Sky Blue' and HD Nails #3. I added a thin coat of Zoya's 'Maisie' (God I love this flaky so hard, I've almost killed the bottle) and applied my Catrice gel effect top coat.

Once everything was entirely dry I began to create my little friends with acrylic paint and my favorite bamboo brush. Finally I sealed them all in with a final layer of Catrice top coat and Barry M's matte top coat.

I'm ok about how this turned out. My only issue is that you can't see Mr Bears back foot so well which is a shame since it was all cute and pinky..and flooffy...

What do you think of my gift giving penguins? Are you chilled for Christmas or are you hectically trying to get everything ready?

Have a wonderful day!

How are you all doing today? Do you have anything fun planned this weekend - last minute Christmas shopping or other plans? I don't feel very ready at all but I am really excited. I'm waiting for a few last gifts to arrive so I'm guessing all my wrapping will be done at the last minute; My dad usually then dumps a bunch of stuff he needs wrapped for my mum on me on Christmas Eve but I love gift wrapping! We always blitz the house too, I don't know why but my mum goes on an epic cleaning mission just before Christmas!

Today I have some very Christmas-y water decals to share with you. These are 'White XmasSnowflake Water Decals' from The Born Pretty Store.

Allo polish Pals!
How are you today? I hope you have had a lovely weekend? I had such a lovely time yesterday going with my four year old Niece to see Santa – it was at a local garden center and they did an amazing job; There was the singing reindeer, Rudy and Judy. Various points to stop and take pictures with pretty Christmas scenery, elves and Father Christmas himself was a lovely warm and jolly man; The kind of man we hope to have as a Santa. He was really good with my Niece who was a little scared at first! Would you like to see a photo post before Christmas? Enough rambling! Tonight I am showing you some more nail strips from OMGNailStrips.com – these are perfect for the festive season! Please read more to see and read more about this amazing design!

Christmas-y Poinsettia

Allo polish Pals!
How are you today? Less than a week until Christmas! How are you feeling about this? Do you feel prepared? Have you got everything ready? I still need to do a few things and wrap up my presents for the children. All is good! Today I have a manicure which is partly dedicated to my Mum (Or Skeebab as I call her) She used to love having poinsettia plants in the house at Christmas, the trouble was she is terrible with potted plants. No matter how well she tried to care for them they never last long! So here are some Christmas-y poinsettia – A popular flower for Christmas!

I was lucky enough to win a set of three blue polishes from TipTop Nails so I used 'Jazzberry' Blue on my index and pinky finger and Seventeen's 'Navy Glint' on my remaining nails. I then layered on Catrice's 'Glitz Carlton' on top. Once everything was dry I used OPI's matte top coat for a nice smooth base and painted on my flowers using Oumaxi acrylic paints. I finished off with OPI's top coat and added a few gold beads with Model's Own's Artstix nail beads.

What do you think of this blue and red combination? Have you painted any Christmas nails – what did you chose to paint?

Have a great day!

Would You Like That Gift Wrapped? 3D Gift Wrapped Nails

Allo polish Pals!
How are you today? Thank you for all the lovely birthday messages! I had a really lovely day, starting with my family in the morning and having my 4 year old Niece there before she had to go to pre-school. I was incredibly spoilt with lots of new nail polishes that I can't wait to try and Mr Bravo and I had a nice meal out at a restaurant, then later on we watched some of our favourite shows together. I promised you some extreme nail art... Now. This is not something I would wear, its entirely impractical and was a real nuisance to do anything once it was on... But I had to try it!

I warned you it would be over the top!
For my index and pinky finger I began with two coats of Barry M's 'Gold Foil' and once dried I applied Barry M's 'copacabana' in a ruffian style which was not 'red enough' for my desired look so I layered W7's 'Red Dazzle'. Once everything was dried I took a small brush and applied some base coat and sprinkled some gold glitter on top of Gold Foil. For my remaining nails I used a beauty glue to add some trimmed down decorations for wrapping and made some little gift tags.

As I mentioned I wouldn't 'wear' this but it was a fun experiment. I wish I had some small items to use but I did the best I could, I think if you used really small pieces it could actually be doable.

What do you think of this extreme and over the top manicure? Have you tried a 3D Christmas manicure?

Have a great day!

The Not So Handsome Freehand Snow Man

Allo polish Pals!
How are you today? I hope your having a great weekend! I can't believe Christmas is so close now, I'm finally feeling very festive as I type this sitting beside the Christmas tree! Today's post features a little snow man who happens to look kind of like a bird... Do you ever finish a manicure and think I know I could have done that so much better? Because for me this manicure gives me that dissatisfied feeling. I created last night with only one sized brush (My choice of tools was so limited :( ) and in low light, I hadn't even noticed the bubbling that was taking place. Now that I've photographed it I feel rather eh.. meh.. about it!

BAH HUMBUG! Ithi Hates Bubbles On Her Nails!
I did like how Foil Flash looked with a slight blur.

I started with three coats of Maybelline's 'Winter Baby' on all my nails. For the snow man and features I used acrylic paint (Which just wouldn't play smoothly!) and added Maybelline's 'Foil Flash' Brocade glitter on my remaining nails. In my opinion I even hate the snow man's eyes. Sigh!

Despite wanting to completely redo this manicure until I am happy with it I have decided to keep it on because I think my Niece will like it. I guess at least one of us will!
Have you created snow man art this year?

Have a beautiful Saturday,
Love

Modern Funky Christmas Tree

Allo polish Pals!
How are you today? Its three days until I go back to England now and I'm beginning to fap around like a frantic chicken; Trying to get all the laundry done so there's nothing waiting for me when I return in January but every time I turn around there is somehow more socks or clothing that needs to be washed. Phew. Today I am sharing my first real Christmas nails, I had so many idea's for making different styles of tree's but this is my first one :)
I started with two coats of DA's 043(?) I then used striping tape to create a triangle on the tips of my nails and painted it in with N07's 'Totally Teal'. Once that was dried I applied more tape to put a zig zag through the triangle and painted over with Essie's 'The More The Merrier'. I finally finished the manicure off by applying a mixture of cavier beads from MUA and Layla for the baubles and added a thin coat of Model's Own 'Gold Rush' over the N.nail star studs just because I believe a tree needs a fairy/angel/star/something at the top to finish it!

What do you think of this modern looking Christmas Tree? Have you started to create some festive manicures yet?

Hope you have a great day!
