As I may of mentioned already, this month I was in charge of selecting the weekly themes over at Tiny Canvas – It's so fun to think of ideas that everyone else will join in with. I opted for skies for this week. You know I love my skies and I figured the Tiny Canvas'ers would have so many possible directions to go in with this; Sunsets, city skylines, weather affected skies.. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Autism Awareness Nail Art With Acrylic-Gradient Hearts

I hope you are having a great weekend so far :) Are you doing anything fun? Today's my first day in England (I got home around 11pm last night, yay for scheduled posts!) so I'll be catching up with all my family.

Today's post comes from the heart with a lot of love and support. If you didn't know the 2^nd of April is Autism awareness day and the month its self. I wanted to create a post for this because I feel like there is still a lot of misconception and old information flying around about Autism.

While I don't think anyone who doesn't have Autism will fully grasp the challenges it can bring to the day to day life of someone with any form of Autism I do believe we have the power to give ourselves as much understanding as possible to make it easier for those who are on spectrum.

Mezmris Nail Lacquer - Psychedelic Galaxy Swatch & Review

How are you all doing today? Has anything fun or eventful happened in your week yet?

Mine seems to be a mixture of really mundane things going on but I am feeling good for the huge spring clean I've had. Next I need to spring clean my polish collection, I think! On the plus side at least it actually feels like Spring now!

Today I am showing you a really pretty polish from Mezmris Nail Lacquer, this one is one of my absolute favourites and you know I've got an obsession with Sammi's nail polishes! This is 'Psychedelic Galaxy'.

I absolutely love Psychedelic Galaxy, I knew I would..and then it arrived and I loved it even harder than I thought I would! Its a black jelly laced with all sorts of yummy, beautiful holographic micro glitters and ultra chromatic chameleon flakies (so drool worthy) This polish is completely opaque in 2-3 coats although I have also worn it over black in the past. (Remember my musical nails?)

It has an amazing dry time and a beautiful glossy sheen even before adding a top coat although combined with the Mezmris Nail Lacquer top coat, 'Armor' really brings all those flakies to life.

Since owning this polish I am continuously looking for manicure ideas that I can use it for, it is beautiful and unique and always gets a ton of compliments.

Disney Glitter Nail Art - Katies Birthday Collab

How are you all doing today? I hope the weekend has been an awesome one for you.

Tell me, is it finally starting too look like spring where you are? Today the sun was shining and the sky was blue, Oh it feels so good!

Today's nail art was created as part of a birthday collaboration for dear @Katiesdazzlingdigits over on Instagram. A bunch of us got together to make her some surprise nail art, our theme was 'Disney/glitter'. For some reason I decided to go for a character I'm not sure everyone is familiar with...why? Who knows! I wish I had painted Cleo the fish too!

Here's Figaro, he's the sweet little kitten from Pinoccihio that is always trying it with the goldfish! 

The polishes I used for this manicure was NYC's 'Tribeca Style' with Mezmris Nail Lacquer's 'A Christmas Cheer' glitter holo polish which as you can see, is far too pretty to sit waiting to be used only at Christmas! I sponged this on to the tips of my nails and on the top of my nails I sprinkled some loose red glitter. I sealed it all in with an old unimportant top coat (to avoid flooding my good top coat with glitter.) and created my freehand design on top.

I am 'sort of' happy with how Figaro turned out however I do wish I had done a better job with my clean up, I hadn't realised I had glitter everywhere. Oopsie!

The Other Side Of The Fence - Freehand Beach Nail Art

How are you all doing today? I hope March is treating you kindly so far and you've got something nice to look forward to this weekend? :)

Today's nail art came after a really frustrating day (edit - As you are reading this, I painted it a couple weeks ago. My nail art struggle has since progressed and there's about 4 designs I've banished to the delete folder that you'll never see. Each one I spent more than 3-4 hrs on... My confidence and self esteem has taken a huge blow and I can only blame myself for putting myself there and telling myself I'm not good enough.)

I wont go into details but when you feel like your stuck in a cycle of cleaning and laundry.. do you ever just wish you could escape for a short while?

Well that was my idea behind this nail art. I discovered a gap in the fence that I could peak through.. I couldn't believe what I saw. A beautiful secluded beach! I was desperate to get over the fence but it was too high..

The products I used for this manicure was Mezmris Nail Lacquer base coat 'Armor Up', Barry M's 'White' and Mezmris Nail Lacquer's top coat, 'Armor'. I also added Barry M's Matte top coat eventualy.

What does your ideal secret relaxing retreat look like? Would it be a nice warm beach too?

Women Of The World, You're Beautiful! Freehand Space Nail Art

How are you all doing today? I hope you had a fantastic weekend – let me know what you got up to!

That thing I was mildly worrying about in the last post turned out to be nothing to worry about. Is it just me who does that? 9/10 times whatever situation I was nervous about turns out to be great and I end up having fun and wondering why I was worried at all!

Did you know that YOU are beautiful? Yes, YOU. I created this nail art as an entry to Scr2tch's 'Womans Day' contest but it also gives me the perfect excuse to tell you all that you are all wonderful. Sometimes its so easy to feel so negative about ourselves but we should be celebrating all the small things that make us...us! There is only one you, isn't that incredible? From the freckles on your nose, or the scar on your knee, you are so individually unique and that's just...beautiful! Regardless of your size, your height, your skin colour, the colour of your hair.. all the things that make you the person you are is incredible.

I spent so many years hating my appearance because of other people; If you ever experience something similar, be it at work, at school.. hold your head high. You are one of a kind and you are special!

Take time to celebrate the wonderful being you are, there's too much negativity in the world, don't reflect it on yourself. Women of the world. YOU are BEAUTIFUL!

For this manicure I began with my Mezmris Nail Lacquer base coat and once dry I applied two coats of Essence's 'Intensifying' white polish (A good replacement if I run out of Barry M – And its under 2 Euro's!) I then made my sky by creating an acrylic-gradient which I sprinkled some loose glitter on top of. Everything else was created using my fave brushes and acrylic paints.

Freehand Bootylicious Cupid Bear - Valentine's Day Nail Art

How are you today? Are you excited for Valentines Day?

I've probably mentioned it before.. I'm not exactly anti-valentines day but I don't make a huge deal out of it. Do you have any nice plans though?

Today's nail art is my effort for the Tiny Canvas weekly challenge, our prompt was 'Cupid'.

Well.. I didn't know what to think about that so my version is much more fluffy and has a butt that anyone could be jealous of. Must be all those squats.

With everything that happened in the past month I've been feeling a little underwhelmed with all my recent nail art. I don't think its awful but its just.. lacking. I feel the same with this because I can see so many little mistakes and I wish I had planned his placement better as I think its hard to tell he's holding a bow...

For this one I began with Mezmris Nail Lacquer's base coat, 'Armor Up'.

I then applied two coats of Barry M's 'White' for a nice clean starting canvas and to encourage the acrylic colours to 'pop'.

Next I used my bamboo brush (I may need to say goodbye to him soon.. he's really giving up) to create an acrylic-gradient going from bright blue to light blue and added some blue glitter to the tops of my nails.

I sealed the glitter in with an old and unimportant top coat before moving on to paint the freehand details. I'm absolutely loving my Pure Color brushes in sizes #09 #10 for things such as painting fur.

I finished it all off by applying my Pro-FX top coat and eventually moved onto Barry M's Matte top coat.

Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone. 3D Rain Drops and Acrylic Rainbows!

How are you all doing today? If you tried to visit in the last couple of day's you may have noticed my blog was down, or at least displaying irreverential information.

I had been in contact with my hosting company for a few weeks before I knew it was set to expire and had been in tech support chat multiple times and was promised that if I didn't renew my hosting that my domain would be absolutely fine.. however it wasn't. Because of their misinformation my domain went down and became inaccessible. At which point they held their hands up, shrugged and told me it wasn't really their problem any more... Since it was pretty much their fault in the first place (hence me checking with them weeks before) I made the hasty decision to change companies – this involved some learning!!

Hopefully now everything will be fine, I've got all my fingers crossed there's no more trouble!

Did you know that tomorrow is 'Umbrella Day' ? I kid you not! Luckily my blog is back in time so I can share these with you! I'd also like to say I am inspired by my good friend Narmai who has created some beautiful water drop manicures in the past!

For this manicure I began with my Mezmris Nail Lacquer base coat, 'Armor Up' on all my nails.

For my rainbow nails I applied two coats of Barry M's 'White' and carefully blended each of the rainbow colours together using acrylic paints and my old hideous bamboo brush (Considering he cost $0.99 that little guy is trooper.) I then carefully painted 'Ain't no sunshine' to my middle finger and freehanded the umbrella with my Pure Color #10 brush. I finished these off with my Mezmris top coat, Armor and finally added my Barry M Matte top coat.

For my raindrop nails I applied two thin coats of Barry M's Blueberry and allowed time to dry. I followed on with two coats of ORLY's 'Sky Blue' colour flip nail polish. Again I allowed ample time to dry before adding a coat of Barry M's Matte top coat. My final step was to apply some drops of gel top coat from BlueSky using a large dotting tool and then curing them under my lamp for a few seconds.

I really love how this manicure turned out, actually. There ain't no sunshine when she's gone. ♫

If I could change one thing I wish the word 'sunshine' wasn't so squished in but hey.. its a long word and I'm not the best at nail art with writing so I'll take it! I will consider my placement next time though.

Freehand Blue Monochromatic Tiger Nail Art

How are you all doing today? Can you really believe we're already in Feburary?!

I guess you could say I enjoyed the last monochrome nail art I did because I had no intentions of this being another one..but that's how it came out! 

I painted this while everything was going down..I didn't really have any inspiration so I asked my sister in law what I should paint and she suggested a tiger. I had wanted to paint a tiger for ages but I actually kept putting it off because I thought I couldn't do it... well... I still don't know if I've succeeded or not, you can be the judge!

For this manicure I used Mezmris Nail Lacquer's Base coat, 'Armor Up' and top coat 'Armor'; Barry M's 'White' nail polish and matte top coat, Pro-FX top coat and acrylic paints.

I spent so long on the tigers face that by the time I had finished that one nail I was confused as to what I should do with the others so I decided to go for a simple jungle/vine look. I also added some studs from the Born Pretty Store.

What do you guys think of my tiger? Do you prefer the matte or glossy version? I'm personally leaning towards the matte one!

Freehand Half Moon Holo Fish Bowl Nails!

How are you all doing today? Did you have a great weekend?

My nails are shot. We worked a lot on clearing Mr Bravo's Grandma's house, restoring the wooden floors, weeding the garden and putting the stairs back to their original shape. My nails have not enjoyed all the chemicals and hard work; Luckily they look ok in these pictures but you may notice it in my upcoming posts. I'm doing my best to give them plenty of TLC and get them back to how they were.

Anyway! Today's nails are inspired by the weekly challenge on Tiny Canvas – We had to create half moon manicures and I was thinking really hard (like really hard!) to think of how I could do a half moon manicure with a twist. I  decide to try and paint inside the half moon!

I had so many idea's on what I could put within my half moons... Mountains, full on scenery? some kind of  rainbow acrylic-gradient? For some reason I settled on a fish bowl idea!

I'm not all that happy with the out come of these but I'm not going to be too hard on myself. I don't need to give myself a hard time but I just couldn't get the half moons smooth with my acrylic at all. In hindsight rather than starting them in blue I should have began in white.

The polishes I used for this manicure are Mezmris Nail Lacquer's basecoat, 'Armor Up', The Body Shop's...[Brain Fail]  and Polish Me, Royalty's 'Unicornacopia' for the twinkly holo top coat. I finished by sealing it all in with my Mezrmris Nail Lacquer top coat, 'Armor'.

Freehand Musical Notes On A Rainbow!

How are you all doing today? Are you doing anything awesome this weekend? I'll be off visiting from friends in another part of Holland, I am so looking forward to seeing how their two little boys are doing, I bet they've grown so much!

I want to warn you before you see today's nail art.. don't be alarmed! This is not my current nail shape. I had been struggling with my shape from the end of December up until recently, I kept trying to file and file.. and wasn't satisfied no matter what I did.

If you are a member of Tiny Canvas you'll know I basically lost my patience and cut them all down. They are much shorter now but I'm actually happy with them being shorter and rounded.. So excuse how weird and pointy they look here.

I don't think I'd ever done anything with musical notes before but when I saw the beautiful polish 'Psychedelic Galaxy' from Mezmris Nail Lacquer I knew right away I wanted to pair it with something interesting. 'Psychedelic Galaxy' is so beautiful with all its flakes of rainbow and holo glitter.. its so special in my collection..

Freehand Australia Day Nail Art - Koala and Kookaburra!

How are you all doing on this cold and wintery day? (Don't worry, I've got some very warming nail art today!) I hope wherever you are that you are all nice and snug. I'm so ready for spring to come already, how about you?

If you didn't know, today is Australia day! - Yes really! One of the challenges this month over on Tiny Canvas was Australia day nails and I couldn't not join in, could I?!

I wanted to be more adventurous but to be honest.. with everything that is going on offline and in my personal life I'm just proud I managed to produce something on time! 

I decided to go for two national animals of Australia, the koala bear and the kookaburra bird. You guys know I love animals and nature. I also added the sea because... well.. Australia <3 p="">

I used all acrylics for this nail art besides my Mezmris Nail Lacquer base 'Armor Up', Barry M's 'White' and Mezmris top coat, 'Armor'. Of course I had to include a matte version - I can't decide which I prefer most..glossy or matte... Hrrm.

Australia is on high on my list of dream locations I'd like to visit one day, Where's your most desired country you'd like to see one day?

Freehand Boat Nail Art - Bertie Mcburtlebutton & Ms Blueberry-Baebae Bouffant

How are you all doing? I hope you are polishing (tehehe) a good week.
This one's not been great..But there is a little happiness coming over the weekend which I think is really needed in our house right now.

Today I'd like to introduce you to my good friends, Bertie McBurtlebutton and Miss Blueberrybae-Bae Bouffant. They've been courting (that's dating for you young 'un's) for only a short while.

Bertie figured if he is going to impress such a lady as Bluebae-bae he better up his game. That afternoon he took her for a picnic at the local park, he hand fed her Marmite and cherry sandwiches (ew?!) and they sipped on lumpy chicken stock cubes from thermal flasks. Classy. Miss Blueberrybae-bae didn't seem all that impressed. As the afternoon rolled into the evening she was happy she could relax and take in the beautiful scenery as Bertie very awkwardly and sweatily rowed in a circles on the lake for a good hour before suggesting he walk her home.

I don't have much to tell you about this manicure, really! I began with my Mezmris Nail Lacquer base, 'Armor Up' and applied two thin coats of Barry M's 'White' nail polish. Once that was dry I added a coat of my Pro-FX top coat and again allowed to dry. I then moved onto my acrylics, creating a gradient using my bamboo brush and created my finer details with my Pure Color brushes in #9 and #10 (If you are into freehand you have to invest in these! Not really..but I adore them!)

I hope you like this one guys! I am wondering how this is going to go. Miss Blueberrybae-bae is quite the lady and a hard one to please at that. What do you think Bertie should do next to try and impress her? He's really rather fond of her already!

Freehand Glittery Fire And Ice Nail Art!

How are you all doing today? Tell me about your weekend :)

Things are still very raw here and there's a fair chances its going to get much harder in this coming week, there have been a lot of emotional moments and trips back and forth to the hospital. I'll be doing my best to get back into a pattern even while this is happening because I think that's best for me but I did need that little week off..

Today's manicure comes inspired from another weekly challenge from Tiny Canvas, our theme this week was 'Fire and Ice' – to be honest.. I hadn't expected much from myself with everything going on offline so I was somewhat surprised when I edited my pictures and didn't hate what I'd created!

I decided to make this an absolute glitterfest, red for fiery embers and flakies for a frosted look!

I didn't really know how to combine both elements into one manicure so I decided to cut it straight down the middle which I think actually looks pretty effective!

For my fire side I began with my Mezmris Nail Lacquer base coat, 'Armor Up' and once dry I added two coats of Wet 'N' Wild's 'Black Creme'. Next I added a coat of Pretty Serious 'Haddon Field' and while it was still wet I tapped on some red and gold glitters. I then freehanded my fire..well.. tried!

For my icy side I began with the same base coat (..kinda obvious) and then applied two coats of Le Beaut #24. I then layered Zoya's Maisie on top and added some loose silver glitter. Again I freehanded the ice cubes using my fave Pure Color brushes in #9 and #10. I sealed it all in with my Mezmris Nail Lacquer top coat, 'Armor'.

Black, White And Gold Leaf With Freehand Stripes

How are you all doing today?

I hope everything is going great for you so far, have you been up to much? Do let me know!

I've been doing so much walking, I've been averaging around 14,000/15,000 steps a day and it feels good!

Today's manicure is a fairly simple design that I created during the end of my visit in England. I didn't have a lot of time but I did want to create something. This was the product of that odd hour and a half. :)

For this manicure I began with my Mezmris Nail Lacquer base coat, 'Armor Up' (If you are in the UK and looking for a great top coat I highly recommend it!) and painted all my nails with two coats of Barry M's 'White'.

I then began drawing very thing grey lines with my acrylic paints and my beloved Pure Color brush in size #9. On one side of the nail I applied some varying sizes of gold leaf/foil and on the opposite side I filled it in with black acrylic paint. On top of this I added some alternating thin lines in gold paint. To give a little more variation to this manicure I freehanded a bow on my ring finger nail.

I finished by sealing everything in with my Mezmris Nail Lacquer top coat, 'Armor'.

I feel like this has a kind of classy monochrome look to it, I'm not sure why it makes me think of the great Gatsby/art deco look. What do you think?

Happy New Years! Freehand Holographic (ish) London Skyline With Fireworks!

I hope you are all doing awesomely today. It's crazy, all year long it has felt like I've been typing about how fast this year has gone, how each week has whizzed by so quickly.. And now we're finally at the end!

I know I get far too gooey and squishy but I honestly thank you all for all your kind words and visits over the past year, it really means a lot and on the darker days it has really helped lift clouds, enough about me though. I'd like to know more about you!

I believe I asked you all this last year but I always like to see if the times have changed anything. Is there anything you are looking forward to in particular in the new year? Or are there any changes or resolutions you are going to take up? We'll look at some nail art and then I'll tell you my news!

Freehand Christmas Snowman & Rabbit Holo Nail Art

How are you all doing today? Are you excited for Christmas?!

This year I'll be posting again on Christmas day, since my blog schedule just happens to fall on the actual day I figured I may as well post!

For today thought I've got two more little snow buddies to share with you, I wanted to have a very delicate and pretty holo manicure so I decided to really only paint on two nails. You'll see what I mean. This manicure was inspired by this picture I found on Pinterest.

For this manicure I began with my Mezmris Nail Lacquer base coat, Armor Up and once dry I applied two coats of Le Beaut in no.24 in a dusty lilac shade – this was a polish my mum bought for me during her last holiday to Greece, I can't find much information about the brand! Once this was dry I added a delicate, thin coat of Polish Me, Royalty!'s 'Unicornucopia' which added a beautiful holographic sparkle. I then freehanded my snowman and rabbit using my fave Pure Color brush in #9 and finished off by sealing it all in with two coats of Mezmris Nail Lacquer's 'Armor'.

What do you guys think of this manicure? It was sort of nice to do something detailed but without having to do EEEEVERY nail. How lazy does that sound? I still spent a lot of time on those two nails, ha!

I'm off to a Christmas concert later today with my sister-in-law, I'm excited!

Mezmris Nail Lacquer: A Christmas Cracker Swatch

How are you all doing? I hope you had a fantastic weekend! Today's post is going to be set up a little differently, since I got home late last night I thought we'd have a really chilled post. Even though I get my posts written up days before I need to post I feel like going easy, that's ok, isn't it?

I'll show you a super duper sparkler of a polish but I am not going to do my usual review style for this one. I'll tell you out right that is a smashing 10/5 stars.

Before applying this polish I first applied a coat of Mezmris Nail Lacquer's 'Armor Up' base coat. Mine had run out recently and I had been dying to get my hands on another bottle. My nails absolutely love the nourishing formula.

'A Christmas Cracker' is a beautiful holo polish with heaps of gold, silver and red glitter. Its an absolute dazzler and I don't think it takes much explaining as to how its become one of my top 10 in my entire nail polish collection. You'll see from the video I've added how beautiful the holo is in the light. It also applies incredibly smooth and although I thought I was going to need a lot of coats to get this to cover my horrifically yellow nails I found that two coats was absolutely perfect. I found the dry time to be equally as pleasing. Because I had extra time to kill I did add a third coat, why? I'm not really sure. I was besotted.. it was love at first sight. I followed up with Mezmris Nail Lacquer's 'Armor' top coat which not only set the holo off even more but also have it a very glossy and glassy look.

I feel like Mezmris have really captured the sparkle and magic of Christmas with this polish, for me it is everything.. its shiny crackers, its the twinkly star on top of the tree, its the sparkle of tinsel... Its just such a festive looking polish!
