Hey look, your latest Instagram post just went viral! Check out the notifications, its almost like they are jumping right out at you! Blimey, you even got 1 million followers!

How did I shade these? Why does it look like they are actually popping off of my nails? My secrets shall be revealed!

Disney Glitter Nail Art - Katies Birthday Collab

How are you all doing today? I hope the weekend has been an awesome one for you.

Tell me, is it finally starting too look like spring where you are? Today the sun was shining and the sky was blue, Oh it feels so good!

Today's nail art was created as part of a birthday collaboration for dear @Katiesdazzlingdigits over on Instagram. A bunch of us got together to make her some surprise nail art, our theme was 'Disney/glitter'. For some reason I decided to go for a character I'm not sure everyone is familiar with...why? Who knows! I wish I had painted Cleo the fish too!

Here's Figaro, he's the sweet little kitten from Pinoccihio that is always trying it with the goldfish! 

The polishes I used for this manicure was NYC's 'Tribeca Style' with Mezmris Nail Lacquer's 'A Christmas Cheer' glitter holo polish which as you can see, is far too pretty to sit waiting to be used only at Christmas! I sponged this on to the tips of my nails and on the top of my nails I sprinkled some loose red glitter. I sealed it all in with an old unimportant top coat (to avoid flooding my good top coat with glitter.) and created my freehand design on top.

I am 'sort of' happy with how Figaro turned out however I do wish I had done a better job with my clean up, I hadn't realised I had glitter everywhere. Oopsie!

Freehand Fluffy Birthday Bear Nail Art For @TheHumbleBear!

How are you all doing today? I hope you are looking forward to a fun weekend, do you have anything nice planned?

Do you remember last year I came together with an amazing artist for a collaboration on Instagram? I'm talking about the wonderful Beverley Fu, Aka TheHumbleBear. Did you see the countryside twin manicure we did together last year?

I consider Bev THE bear of nails.

Beverely is such a beautiful young lady (and a fellow mod over on Tiny Canvas!) and yesterday it was her birthday so a group (or several groups!) of us got to celebrate and wish her a wonderful day in the only way possible – bear party!

For this manicure I used flocking powder because really there are not many times or designs that call for it but its always fun to do something really different every now and again. I felt it would fit this theme perfectly. I used Layla's as a base for my flocking and this time I used a little foil glue to adhere the flocking. I found this worked much better than top coat which I had only ever used previously.

For my beary nails I used two coats of Essence's 'New York City Call' with a smudgen of Polish Me, Royalty!'s 'Unicornicopia' for a sexy drizzle of holo glitter.

My bear was created with brand new brushes that were sent to me as a gift from a dear sweet friend. I used a Christrio detailing brush and Winstonia's 'Rose Noir' brush. First impressions? Love, love love.

I'm quite happy with the contrast of the flocking to the painted nails, what do you think? I'll never get used to the feeling though, I removed them pretty fast after taking pictures!

Red & Elgant Glitter Nails - Jo's Birthday Collaboration.

How are you all doing today? I hope you are having a fantastic weekend so far!

Today's an odd one in this house. Its Christmas! Ha, I'll explain. Since I'll be back in Holland for Christmas this year my Mum has decided to do an early Christmas dinner with all the trimmings so I don't have to miss my English Christmas dinner – so sweet! We'll be having more family over too, it's going to be lovely!

Today I have a manicure that came from a collaboration I did recently. Yesterday it was Jo's (@Joannahowland on IG) birthday so a bunch of lovely and talented artists came together on Instagram to surprise her; Katie and Sammi did a wonderful job organising the collaboration and we managed to get the college posted out at midnight to surprise her! The theme was Red and Elegant which seemed fitting for such a lovely lady! I decided to go for some ribbons and bows.

Ping! Idea! I know! I'll link all the artists at the bottom of the post.  By the way.. please excuse how miss shaped my thumb nail looks. I'd filed the night before and clearly done a wonderful job (!)

Freehand Syncronized Swimmers - Mighty IG Olympic Collab

How are you all doing? I hope you had a fantastic week! I think this weekend will be much more quieter and homey than last weekend. What do you have planned?

Last month or so I was invited by the ever so wonderful Dani, (@Stormysway97 On IG - Owner of Facebook's 'Tiny Canvas') to take part in a huuuge Olympic collaboration over on Instagram. The wonderful thing about this collaboration is that I have made so many new friends and met some amazing nail artists that I might not have discovered other wise!!

Dani gave us a massive picture showing all the sports that take part at the Olympics and we were all able to pick which one we would like to represent on our nails. I decided to go for synchronized swimming because I thought I could draw lots of teeny tiny cute ladies! My ladies turned out a little like rag dolls but to be fair... fitting 4 or so entire bodies on one nail isn't the easiest challenge I've faced.

I began with my usual base coat of OPI's 'Nail Envy' and once dry applied two smooth coats of Barry M's 'White'. I applied a thin coat of my Pro-FX top coat and then moved on to my acrylics, starting with different shades of blue to create the water. I decided to have some floating ladies all joining hands, some doing arm movements. I sealed it all in with my Pro-FX top coat and added Wet 'N' Wild's matte top coat because I love seeing freehand matte!  It was also mandatory to include the Olympic symbol in our designs so I added it to one of my ladies!

Considering how small they were I am quite happy with this design, I think they came out fairly cute. Sure I can see a few brush strokes gone crazy here and there with their facial features but all in all.. I kinda like it!

Spring Time Rainbow Manicures - Twin Nails With @Rainbowjojonails

Happy Sunday to you! I hope you have been having a fantastic weekend so far, tell me, what colour nails have you been sporting over the weekend?

Something rather fun happened last week, I was contacted by a lovely lady, @rainbowjojonails (You really should check her account out!) on Instagram, asking me if I would like to participate in a 'twin nails' collaboration. I'll be absolutely honest, I had no idea what that was even supposed to mean.

So apparently you come up with a theme idea and both create a manicure based on it. Of course, you have no idea what the other person will paint. You could come up with a similar idea or something completely different – isn't that fun?! 

I used Barry M's White for my base, everything else was created with acrylic paints.
