Freehand Charms/Confetti on Pink Holographic Nail Polish

I hope you are having a super dandy weekend so far? Are you having a nice quiet one or do you have lots of awesome plans?

Today I'll be going out with my boyfriends sister again - we're going to a cat cafe!! You guys know I love cats and miss my own dearly so I can't think of anything nicer than having a lovely cup of tea with cat cuddles! We're also going to go out for dinner.

 This is going to be a really lovely treat as I spent most of Friday doing a huge spring clean!

 Today's nails are random, but you guys are used to that by now.

Today's manicure actually came rather randomly, I didn't have any specific idea in mind when I created this so that will probably explain the odd accent nail but I wanted this to look almost like little 3D charms. Do you think I accomplished it?

I began with OPI's 'Nail Envy' base coat and once dry applied two gorgeous coats of Color Club's 'Cloud Nine'. I then applied my Pro-FX as a barrier between my paint and nail art and used my favourite brushes and acrylic paints to paint on the charms/gems. Or is it confetti? I don't really know!

What do you guys think of this nail art, do the pieces look 3D? What is your favourite colour for holographic nail polish?

Ithi In Space! DIY Dry Marble Decals & Freehand Nail Art!

How are you all doing today? Do you have any exciting plans this weekend?

Today I have a manicure to share with you that probably isn't the greatest but it was a lengthy process to get to its completed state! I have a before and after, then I'll explain what I did!

          *How do I manage to cleanup all the decals but leave traces of the freehanding paint?! Duhhhh

So I began this manicure by applying some regular top coat to an old piece laminate flooring. Its my poor man's 'Uber Mat' but you know what, stuff peels off so it'll do! I then began layering a mixture of Barry M's 'VIP', Fogan's glitter I forgot.., Lady Venezia Don't remember the name also.. (When I am sick I get stupid-brain) Color Club's 'Eternal Beauty' and TipTop Polishes 'Jazz Berry'. Next I took a tooth pick and began swirling the polishes around in no real order what so ever – skills, bahaha. I left all of this in a safe place to dry over night.

The next day I painted my nails with just my base coat of OPI's 'Nail Envy' and carefully began to unpeel the decals. I trimmed them down to fit my nail length and rubbed them gently onto the nail. I used nail polish remover and a fine square brush to gently remove any excess from around my nails and cuticles.

I then added some freehand planets, stars and a little Ithi floating around in space (she looks nothing like me) I'm quite blah about the freehand stuff but I love the concept. I'll be doing more decals like this in the future, they look so interesting!

Easy Star Nail Vinyl Stencil Stickers With Holo! - Born Pretty Store Review

How are you all doing today? Today I am kicking off my first review for the Born Pretty Store in 2016! And what better way then to throw some holographic at you. I think my new camera picks up holographic's better but what do you guys think? I've been quite impressed with some of my other pictures I've taken lately, not so much these though. I keep getting obsessed that some look blurry and then I'm just really unsure.

Today I am showing you Easy Star Nail Vinyl Stencil Stickers from the Born Pretty Store.

Also I discovered during this post that no matter how hard I try its impossible for me to type the word vinyl without making a typo!

I'm still getting the hang of this camera..

Starry Sky And Freehand Pegasus Nail Art

How are you today? I am so excited to share today's post with you. I wanted to create something mythical and pretty so I attempted something I considered to be quite hard...But its always fun to have a challenge! I'm actually pretty happy with how this came out!

I began by created a gradient using Fearne's 'High Tide', Color Club's 'Winter Wonderland', Yes Love's #34 and Orly's 'Sky Blue'. For the art I used my trusty bamboo brush and acrylic paints. I also added a tiny bit of Barry M's 'VIP' for some bluey sparkle! I finished it all off with 'Nail Girls' top coat - which is actually not too bad at smoothing the acrylic paint out nicely.

I had so much fun painting this design and I am pretty happy with the outcome. I'm not going to sit and pick out flaws or mistakes I may have made. I'm just content with it.

Wishing On A Star - Freehand Fairy

How are you today? Are you enjoying some nice warm weather this week? So... Here's a question for you, Little Theodora here is sat wishing on a star, but do you think she had her wings before or after she made the wish? If she already had wings I wonder what she was wishing for....

I'm quite displeased with her face, as you can see she kind of has...mutant bumps on her face. That was from me making a huge mistake but I tried to fix it. For this manicure I began with two coats of Barry M's 'Mist' and created a gradient with Barry M's 'Cobalt Blue'. I then used tiny pieces of sponge to dab on H+M's 'Blue Metal', Color Club's 'Winter Wonderland' and for glitter I used OPI's 'Snowflakes In The Air' and Collistar's glitter. Everything else was freehand with my Oumaxi paints

Swimmin' With The Fish - Freehand

How are you today? I hope you are having a great weekend! I wasn't intending to post today but then I couldn't help myself. About a year or so ago I stumbled upon this beautiful picture on pinterest (By the way, I keep a lot of pictures on this board with interesting colour combinations/designs, I thought some people might get inspiration from them!) I knew as soon as I saw it I wanted to somehow get it onto my nails. Finally, after much trouble and failure I gave up...But today I faced the fear and decided to try again.

This manicure is so super sparkly in person. I hope you can sort of see that from my pictures. My camera can be a bit of a douche (Sorry, there's no better word for its behaviour!)

I started by using two coats of Dorothy L's ' Diamond Colors '207. I then used a sandwich bag to dab on Rimmel's 'Midnight Rendezvous' and Color Club's 'Cold Metal'. I then added a small amount of Zoya's 'Maisy' in certain areas and add a dab of OPI's sheer tint polishes in 'I Can Teal You Like Me' and 'Don't Violet Me Down'. Once this was dry I then used my Oumaxi paints to create two fish.

The fish on my thumb came first, I think it shows; I'm not too happy with him. By the second fish I was feeling more confident. Its certainly not perfect but I am glad that after wanting to do this manicure for so long I accomplished it. I just wish you could enjoy the sparkle as much as me when I glance at my nails.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you all ASAP. I'm really intrigued to know what you think of this one!

Heavenly Holo With Subtle Stamping

I hope you are feeling rested and well after the weekend? I have another question for you; Do you ever create a manicure and really really love it? You feel proud of the end result....Until you look at your pictures. Then you begin to doubt the idea behind the manicure and completely change your mind about loving it? I have one of those. I was quite pleased with how this manicure looked on the nails but seeing the pictures has made me hate it. Ah well, you guys can decide what you think about it.

I used three polishes for this design, Color Club's Cloud Nine, Barry M's 'Silk' and 'Heather'. I used Nail Craze stamping plate 02 for a very subtle effect. I added these crosses that I had been wanting to use for quite some time. I'm not sure it 'fits' the look but hmm... I also thought I did a good job at the clean up – until after I saw the pictures. Apologies for the mess.

What do you think of this manicure? Love it or hate it, like I do?

Gothic Elegance

How are you today? I hope your having a great week so far?

I totally planned to post yesterday but if I am honest I am adjusting to being back in England. Mr Bravo and I are already enjoying ourselves. My Niece comes over for breakfast as my mum then drives her to preschool afterwards. It's lovely seeing her bright and happy smiles first thing in the morning! It is lovely being home and being able to spend time with everyone including the pets :) 

Today I have a post I did last week when I was back in Holland. It started off as a simple idea but I ended up adding borders and what not....

For this manicure I.... *struggles to remember* Used three polishes, Essie's 'Cashmere Bathrobe', Color Club's 'On The Rocks' and H&M's 'Matte Silver'. I want to tell you which polishes I started with but to be honest I am getting a bit muddled up looking at it, haha. On the tips of several nails I stamped using Nail Craze stamping plate in NC03 and on my remaining nails I added some large studs I picked up as part of a set a few weeks ago – Can you help me? What is the shape of these studs called? I really can not remember! Finally I finished it all off with silver and black borders.

Ultra Thin Charming 3D Nail Decorations: Cupids - Born Pretty Store Review

How are you today? I hope you've had a lovely weekend, did you get up to much? Its been pretty wet and gloomy here in south Holland. Yesterday I did three miles in the rain – I'm not a big fan of rain but it was still nice to get outside and it means I completed the entire week of a challenge I am doing. Today I have another item to show you from The Born Pretty Store, this time I have a 30 piece set of ultra thin charming 3d nail decoration in Cupids.

These small little nail charms come in gold and are approximately 4-6mm in size and fit quite well onto the nail, I would chose to wear these charms on special occasions as the edges of these charms don't quite sit flatly onto the nail. That said I still absolutely love them and think they are really cute – there are so many ways you could wear this. I originally wanted to paint on some clouds but I loved how they looked with a simple ruffian nail also. These are super thin which means they could probably be gently bent to sit completely flat if you have rather curved nails. I liked all the designs in this series, there are also unicorns, snowflakes, reindeer and many more. Such an easy way to add something really special to your manicure.

For this manicure I started with two coats of Color Club's 'Antiqued' and added Barry M's 'Mist' to create my ruffian style. I then sprinkled a couple of pigments on top of this which didn't really show up to well but it left a delicate powder look to the blue.

Full Attempt At A Freehand Snow Leopard

How are you today? Are you doing anything fun this weekend? I can't say I have much planned but that’s also kinda cool as I can can up on swatching polishes for while I am away in England and throw in some more mile walking work outs! I'm not doing too bad with keeping up with the fitness so I'm quite pleased! Do you have a favorite type of exercise that you do? Today I decided to do something a little different and created (well, attempted) to do a whole leopard on my nails. I'm not really used to doing a whole design across different nails and I found it tricky to match up the drawing!

For this manicure I used only two polishes and a matte top coat. For my thumb and pinky I started with two coats of Yes Love's K025 which is a very light silver and used striping tape to create some diagonal stripes with Color Club's 'Harp On It'. On my remaining fingers I used just 'Harp On It' and created my leopard using my Oumaxi acrylic paints. I finished the whole thing off with a coat of OPI's matte top coat.

There are things I don't like about this manicure, I wasn't happy with the legs for example. That said, I think the overall thing is quite striking in person and I hope with more freehand nail art I will start improving on fitting small details in.

These Spiders Are A Gal's Best Friend

How are you today? Thank you to those who wished me to get better soon, it's been a really rough week so far and I'm completely out of sorts with everything. Yesterday I did more sleeping than anything else which makes me feel incredibly lazy. Argh, hopefully I am better soon – I don't have time to be ill! Halloween! Are you doing anything for Halloween? I've never really celebrated it, it wasn't that popular where I grew up in England and also doesn't seem like a huge deal here in Holland either but I am excited to know what you guys will be doing. My favorite thing about Halloween is the possibility of new horror films! For today I have some rather crappy spiders to kick off Halloween. (I am not overly impressed with my nail art lately, I need to up my game) I'm terrified of spiders but how about some prettier glitzy spiders?

I started with two coats of Sally Hansen's 'Resurrection' and applied Max Factor's 'Fantasy Fire' on top. I created my webs and spider legs by using Color Club's 'On The Rocks'. I used a mixture of rhinestones and studs to create the spider bodies.

First Ever Mani Recreation : Rockin' The Peacock

Hope you are all doing well? How was your weekend? I had a really lovely girls day on Saturday with my sister-in-law; she spoilt me terribly and I am so grateful, I love spending time with her. She has a wicked sense of humor! – I think sometimes its important to have just girly days like that. I was also happy to discover one of our drug stores here in Holland is now carrying Sinful Colors – Wahoo! For today's post I am showing you a recreation of my first ever manicure that I posted here. I am not 100% happy with this new version but I think its still a big difference and hopefully an improvement on the original.

On my thumb, middle and ring finger I began by applying two coats of Hema's Green Chameleon and used Color Club's 'Cold Metal' and Fearne's 'High Tide' to create a gradient (a lot less noticeable then I wanted it – sad face, boo boo) I then used Barry M's 'Gold Foil' to add the peacock feather by using the Nail Craze stamping plate 01. On my remaining fingers I used two coats of 'High Tide' and added Sinful Color's 'Nail Junkie' glitter on top. I finished it off by adding some golden holo hexagons.

What do you think of both manicures? Do you prefer the original or my recreation?

I think I'll still recreate this again one day, I want to get the perfect peacock look!

Delicate Water Dropping and Heart 3D Rhinestones - The Born Pretty Store Review

 Allo polish Pals, How are you today? I hope you enjoyed your weekend. I'm sorry for being a bad blog monkey, things have been kind of weird.... I'm doing ok with the exercise and healthy eating, mostly. But today I just hit a road block.. I didn't want to do anything, I didn't 'feel' like anything. I know home sickness gets easier in time and keeping busy is usually good for me. I guess today I just needed to chill a little. I was stuck in a rut (too many manicures ideas in my head is dangerous) today but that all changed when I had a little cheer up nail mail from The Born Pretty Store. Today I am going to be showing you my first manicure using these beautiful gems, “2mm-5mm delicate dropping heart design, 3d rhinestones”. Ooh, ohh!! come see!

These beautiful gems come in a large nail art wheel and contain and contain different sized gems in heart shape, water droplet shade and as a normal round stud. This set includes 350 pieces, yummy, right?! Maybe you might find them quite large for your nails but I find they fit nicely on me, they lie neatly and flatly onto the nail bed. The studs are acrylic resin. You get two different colours, As you'll see here I am wearing the gems which are the lightest in colour, they are gorgeous iridescent which gleam a light spectrum of colours. The second type of studs in this wheel are blue based but shifts beautifully through the rainbow giving a really gorgeous effect to manicures. I am in love with these as I used to wear two glass heart pendant's which would match them perfectly.

 These studs are a real winner in my eyes.

For this manicure I began by applying two coats of Color Club's 'Cloud Nine' to all my nails excluding my ring finger. I then used tape to section off my selected area's and applied Barry M's 'Pearl' from the silk collection. I then applied my top coat of China Glaze's 'First And Last' and applied my gems using tweezers. For my ring finger I switched the colours, that's all.

Big Drama, Little Nails. Holographic Stamping & MoYouNails

It was a warm dusky summer evening and the air was heavy. She was feeling lethargic as she lay on the bed resting the dull ache within her ribs. The clock read 9.05pm and she smiled knowing it was a good time for a glass of wine and yet another episode of Bate's Motel. She drew the make shift table which once began life as a cardboard box on the bed closer to herself and admired the collection of beautiful polishes and tools that laid out before her. Heaven. She gasped in shock at the latest drama's in her new favorite tv show as she rubbed the cotton pad over her nails, absent mindlessly removing the traces of blue and green polish that had once been worn with pride. There was a snag. Her eye's instantly darted to her finger nails and in sheer horror and disbelieve she gasped at the rip in her middle finger. It was a rip, defiantly a rip, no two ways about it. She ran down the two flights of stairs and into the kitchen, swinging kitchen cupboards open in a crazed frenzy and began searching for her miracle. She gave a sigh of relief as she found what she was looking for, an old forgotten tea bag that wouldn't be missed! ...But she knew this was far from over. As she dragged her defeated body back up stairs she surveyed the spread laid out on the box, deciding and undecided on a course of action... With a heavy heart she picked up the clippers and knew...Things would never be the same again...

Harsh Vibrancy With A Mixture Of Everything

How are you today? Happy mid week to ya! This week is flying by but then again they all seem to be! I'm excited that next month I'll be visiting my family back in England ~ Yay! Also it will be crazy here tonight in Holland as Argentina are playing against Holland – I'm not a huge football fan but I do love how patriotic everyone seems here with celebrating their team! Last night I came up with a manicure which I really wasn't sure about but strangely enough it began to grow on me. I decided to recreate it today (I'm pretty much a lazy arse right now since I can not move so much with the pain to my ribs) to see what you guys think. Here's my blue, green and black creation with half moons and straight lines!

On all my nails (Except my ring finger) I began with two coats of Yes Love's Black polish, I then used a reinforcement ring to tape off my half moon shape and applied Yes Love's #007 (Or Kermit green as I prefer to call it) Next I used striping tape to add straight block lines of Anny's 'Blue Bikini Girl' and sponged on a little of Color Club's 'Cool Metal' to the tips. Finally...! For my ring finger I started with two coats of Yes Love #007 and again used the same black to create a half moon. I then applied B.O Calabash's blue sequin glitter on top.

So what do you guys think of this manicure? I don't think I have paired straight lines with half moons – do you think it works or is it OTT?

Day 13: Animal Print

How are you today? Are you feeling fabulous about this week? I had a great weekend staying with mine and Mr Bravo's friends. Even though my stomach condition was a real nightmare I am glad that I went! This week I am embarking on being a little healthier; I even went power walking today (I got alot of really weird looks from strangers, maybe they don't power walk here in Holland!) so here's hoping I feel better for it! Today is day 13 of the 31 day nail art challenge for me which calls for animal print. I'm a real sucker for this colour combination, lets see what you guys think!

On all my nails I started with two coats of Color Club's 'Nomadic In Nude' and created my leopard print nails by using two dotting tools, Essie's 'The More The Merrier' and Yes Love's 'N030'. Simples! I then finished off this manicure by applying my Catrice Gel-like top coat.

While it is a really simple manicure I do really love the combination of the Yes Love blue and 'The More The Merrier'!
