Allo polish Pals!
I hope you all had an awesome weekend?
Did you get up to anything fun?
Today's nail art comes with a little
secret. While I've been working out hard and keeping up with all the
healthy lifestyle changes I made recently.. sometimes while I am
painting and working on blog post creations I take a little pause for
coffee and biscuit time.
Its the perfect break when I am working
on a really intricate and lengthy design. You gotta enjoy some
things, right?
So today I have for you some 3D cookies
on an equally dotty base! Funnily enough Maryland Cookie's started following me recently over on Twitter. I wonder if they'll approve of this nail art!
The base polish for this manicure was
NYX's 'Nolita Lolita' – I thought this would be perfect for my
cookie base. I did of course use a peel off base coat for this
polish, I really didn't fancy trying to get it off myself.. lazy or
just really convenient. ;)
My thoughts for this manicure was
cookies and milk! I created each of the cookies by applying a thick
circular blob of gel top coat. I cured it and repeated the process
again to build up the shape.
I then sealed them with my Pro-FX (I
miss you..) top coat and once dry began to paint my translucent blobs
with acrylic paint. I also attempted to add a darker blue shade
around each cookie to give the appearance of shadows and to hopefully
make them stand out more. I added some sploshe's of milk and sealed
again. Finally I applied my Barry M matte top coat which suited it
perfectly.
What do you think of my cookie
nail art? Do you have a guilty mid-work pleasure?
Thank you for visiting, have an awesome
day and I'll see you again on Wednesday!
Love,
Ithi
This looks adorable! (and yummy, I suddenly have a craving for a big mug of tea and chocolate chip cookies which is actually my favorite work break snack)

ReplyDeleteYou always amaze me with your nail art and I'm sure Maryland Cookie's would approve Ithi. The detail is incredible. Please start painting miniatures on canvas, you'll be awesome at it and there's a huge market for miniature art.
ReplyDeleteI really love the details around the cookies, like the splash of milk. You are really talented and have a lot of creativity to make such beautiful designs. The cookies look realistic enough to eat :)
ReplyDeleteThis is sooo sweet and cozy nail art! I wish I (or at least my manicurist) could do something like that! They look so realistic with those milk splashes next to them. Don't you feel like you want to bite your own nails because of the cookies? ;)
