The 31 Day Challenge: Day 4 - Green

How are you today? I hope you are well! I've been a busy little bee so far this week, I like being productive! I'm also really excited as me and Mr Bravo booked our tickets to England last night. We'll be going for three weeks in August ~ I can't wait to see my family, its been too long!
Today I am continuing with the 31 day challenge and day four requires green nails. I decided to create something quite 'earthy' looking which included eye shadow pigments and glequins! (The next day will be blue nails – Yeah, I can't wait!)

On my index and ring finger I began by applying two coats of China Glaze's 'Smoke n' Ashes' and topped it off with Sinful Colors 'Call you later' which is a gorgeous green glitter. I then used my Oumaxi acrylic paints (From Sammy Dress) and created a few leaves, I finished these nails off by applying a few glequins to the edge of my leaves. On all my other nails I applied two coats of Pupa's 'Pearly Green' and splashed on some green loose eye pigments – Now that I look at it its not as sparkly as I would have liked but it does remind me of moss!!

How is your weekend going? I hope you guys are having fun! I'm still pretty damn sick so today's manicure was created in between naps and rest! You wouldn't believe how incredibly skilled I am at sleep with wet nails, haha :) Today I am showing you a matte gradient manicure featuring Hollow Rounds from Vivalanails.co.uk. They have so many lovely nail art pieces at a great price.I'd also love to know if there are any previous manicures I have done that you would like to see turned in a pictorial?

These Hollow Rounds in Azure are a great way to add some funk to your manicure; They have quite a few different shades on the website and are wonderfully priced. I really like that you also get the tiny centers so you can use the smaller pieces too. I had no problem applying these and they where perfectly sized to sit comfortably on the nail bed without any over hang or snag-abillity issues. They are highly reflective and shiny but they also look really unique when applied with a matte topcoat.

I started off with two coats of Pupa's 'Pearly Green' and created a gradient blend using Rimmel's 'Azure' and Jacava's 'Chillax' on the tips. I applied my topcoat and added the hollow rounds using a fine dotting tool. I then took Rimmel's 'Pear Drop' and added some small connecting dots. I finally sealed the hollow rounds with another layer of topcoat and finished with Model's Own Matte topcoat.

What do you guys think of this manicure? Have you tried adding a matte topcoat to shiny nail art accessories?

A 'pshiiity' kind of gradient!

Hows it going? Are you feeling this heat?! I'm sorry I've been a bit behind on my commenting, I am getting to it but its been a little crazy here. We finally have a bed big enough to sleep in you have no idea how awesome it feels!! Hopefully a good sleep will end my little 'rut' and I can get up to speed with things again! Just a quick post from me today to show you a gradient blend I created earlier today.

I started with two coats of Pupa 'Pearly Green' (I love this shade!) and added Picture Polishes 'Pshiiit' mid way on the nail. I finished off my tips with Anny's 'Bikini Girl Blue'. I have to say I really loved this combination because in certain light the flakies from 'Pshiiit' shone through and the tips added a beautiful effect, almost like a fake Duochrome! Plus... I'm a sucker for anything that looks incredibly glossy and glassy so win win for me!

What do you guys think of this gradient? Do you prefer bright or dark gradients?
