Simple Saturday Dotticure

Allo polish Pals!
How are you today? I hope you had a great weekend so far? I had a lovely day with my sister in law, I absolutely love that lady :) She's one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. We got up early and had our hair done together and browsed through the shops. She very kindly bought be a cute pink notebook for me to swatch all my polishes in. It's going to be long process to get the book complete with my current polishes but I like a challenge. I only have a very basic and simple manicure for you today, I'm constantly on the look out for ideas for my next big freehand piece. Speaking of which... Thank you all so much! A lot of you took the time to comment on my previous post and I am so grateful for all the kind and lovely comments you left. You guys make me want to freehand paint all the time!

For this manicure I began with two coats of Essie's 'Cashmere Bathrobe'. I then used a mixture of Barry M's 'Rose Hip', Rimmel's 'Hot White Love', MUA's 'Amaretto Crush' and China Glaze's 'Pink-ie Promise' for my dots. I topped it all off with OPI's matte top coat.

What do you think of my incredibly simple dotticure?
Simple but easy enough when you have a busy day and need a nap! Haha... I do like my naps.
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend, I'll try and crack out the acrylics tonight, wish me luck!

Mix Matched Freehand Nail Art

Allo polish Pals! How are you doing today? I hope your having a good weekend so far! Today I'm part of the celebration of my parent in laws 25 wedding anniversary so its going to be chaotic here with lots of family coming to visit! I have to say that I'm very fortunate because Mr Bravo's parents are such lovely people and welcomed me into their home back in February, so a big congratulations on their big day :) Today's mani was created during the week however I was really reluctant to post it since the pictures came out terrible.. Bleh!

For this odd ensemble I started with two coats of Essie's 'Naughty In Nautical' on all fingers bar my ring-ding finger. I then created a freehand pattern on each nail using Barry M's 'Plum','Blackberry', Hema's 'Colbalt' and MUA's 'Bold Blue'. I then touched this up using Mash Nail Art pen in Silver. For my ring finger I used two coats of Barry M 'Blackberry' and applied 'Colbalt' in the center. To finish I added a little aqua gem.

What do you think of this freehand creation? Would you wear it?
Have a beautiful weekend!

Nails Inspired By... Icecream

Allo polish Pals!
Happy Monday to you all, did you have a good weekend? I'm feeling more determined this week and my positivity levels are higher! While I'm still sick in varying ways I missed posting and have fixed myself a blog schedule that wont stress me out :D Yesterday me and my Dutch family went to a lovely Chinese Buffet. Did you know I am crazy about sushi? Well they had Sushi!! I also got to try Sake and Chinese Wine for the first time. These nails where inspired by the ice cream my brother-in-law had (Like I said, sometimes my inspiration comes from the most random of places!) which was such a beautiful combo of colours. I believe it was Pistachio, 'Smurf' and Raspberry flavors!

I started with my base coat and applied two coats of MUA's 'Amaretto Crush'. Using a cloud design I added Sunday Funday from China Glaze and finally MUA's 'Pistachio Ice cream' on the tips.
I also decided to test how these colours looked using Hema's 'Matt' topcoat. I really liked the results!

What do you think of this pink, blue and mint green combination? Do you prefer it matte or with a glossy finish?

Enjoy the rest of your day!
