Freehand Sesame Street's Count Von Count - Vampire Dracula

How are you all doing today? I hope you've got something lovely to look forward to this weekend?

I think I'm going to get some time outside in the fresh air, weather permitting! Its been so hit and miss with the weather this week. Hurry up, summer!

Today's nail art is one that comes with fond memories. I don't know about you but maths wasn't my best subject in score... I have always been hopeless with numbers – once, many moons ago when I was in school I got pulled aside as I had all my answers completely backwards. If the answer was 81 I'd written 18! The teacher thought I may have Dyscalculia which is the mathematical version of dyslexia.

Anyway.. There was one time in my life where maths could bring me joy. THANK YOU Sesame Street for making maths and numbers less scary and of course all the lovely, squishy, cuddly friends you introduced me to!

When I found out this weeks challenge over on Tiny Canvas had the theme Dracula I knew I had to pay homage for my first ever maths teacher Count Von Count! Also, the reason for this weeks theme is because Dracula day falls on the 26^th of May – Yeah.. I'm a bit early but hey :)

I'm a bit 'eeeeh' with my Count, I really wanted him to be spot on and I can see things that are just 'not right' that don't make him look identical.. but I tried.

For this manicure I used a polish besides white, BAHAHA. Can you believe it? I swear, no lies!

I used my usual OPI Nail Envy base coat and once dry applied two coats of Catrice's 'Must-Have STEELetto' – a perfect and silvery lilac. I thought this would be a great contrast against other purples. I attempted to create a swirly gradient and of course painted Count Von Count himself.

I finished it all off with my PRO-FX top coat and eventually my matte top coat.

Counting Freehand Kawaii Sheep

Happy Thursday to you all! - random question, whats your favorite day of the week?? I always like Friday's as I have my weekly catch up skype call to my sister and I skype with my mum (Although I skype with her everyday!)

I've always had a dislike for Tuesday's and I have no idea where it comes from! O... I did have an Aunt pick me up from school on Tuesday's who would make me hold hands with her walking home... down the same route EVERYONE in the school lived..(I lived away from school, everyone thought my mums car was cool - it wasn't but ok, kids are kids.) My Aunt would wanna.. hold hands (That's fine! OK! But don't make me...) and skip along... The skipping...Skip Skip Skip. No idea why I am sharing that with you but I love that I am :)

......Enough.....

Today I have a manicure that I'm not sure how I feel about it. I really liked the idea but something happened to my thumb-sheep... kinda bubbled or something.. I don't know ~ I feel like I am posting inadequate things lately... I just need some very good strong ideas to come through. But anyway.. lets take a look!

I should really practice getting enough sleep, I'm lucky if I get about 5 hours most of the time, not good!

For this manicure I began by applying two coats of NYC's 'Bronx Paparazzi' and added a coat of my Pro-Fx quick drying top coat. Next I moved onto my acrylics, using a silver to create a subtle ruffian look, next I painted my sheep and began to fill in the surrounding space with numbers using a light purple I had mixed. I finished off by sealing it all in with my Pro-Fx again.

What do you think of my Kawaii sheep? Did you ever try counting sheep when you couldn't sleep?!

Happy New Years Eve From Ithinity Beauty!

Happy New Years Eve to you all! Do you have anything exciting plans to see in the new year?

I'd like to say thank you to those who have visited or commented on my blog in the past year, all the kind comments and support makes blogging such a treasured thing in my life. You really are a great bunch! I look forward to the next year of blogging, visiting your blogs and making new friends!
I wish that this year brings you all the things you truly wish for, that you and your families have a very happy and healthy year ahead. I am sending so much love to you all :)

This past year wasn't an especially great one for me. I found it really hard at times but I did find being here a great way to keep myself motivated and to keep my head above the water. I'm also glad with my painting improvements from the past year, there are certain manicures I was sure I just couldn't do and surprised myself with the outcome.

I can't say I have much in the way of resolutions this year. This time last year I vowed that by this New Years I'd have quit smoking. And I have. I don't even crave or think about smoking now. If you're thinking of quitting you'll be surprised by how much time you gain when you quit. That's one of the biggest things I noticed. This year I'll work on getting those extra pounds off so I can go back to my confident old self. I'll also do my best to be a calmer person because I am such a worrier. Are you committing to any changes for the new year?

For my New Years manicure, I decided to go a little more subdued and grown up than last years attempt which was a glitter-bomb mess.
