Allo polish Pals!
How are you all doing? I hope you had
an amazing week and have something fun to look forward to this
weekend, or even just enjoy it chilling.
I had some news this week, today and
yesterday I went back to work at the place I had been working at in
December. One of the friends I made there reached out as she is
having a family issue and needs to travel to another country. She
suggested I could maybe take over her role while she's away so of
course I said yes because I wanted to help her. While I'll only be
there temporary I did enjoy the job immensely and it'll get me out of
the house while I continue looking for work.
In other news..Tomorrow is St Patrick's
day so of course we need to don some greenery on our claws for the
occasion!
For this design I began with ORLY's
'White Tips' on my thumb and ring finger and Masura's 'Sky Garden' on
all the other nails (such a beautiful green metallic!) On my white
nails I began mixing shades of green to create a simple stripped
gradient look, going from dark green to light green. I then painted
some Shamrock shades in white and filled them in with a rainbow
acrylic-gradient. On my remaining green nails I used a water colour
technique and on top added a small amount of gold foil.
While this is certainly not my most
favourite manicure I've ever produced I liked the concept. The gold
is for the pot of gold at the rainbow, the rainbow within the
shamrock represents the rainbow itself. Maybe next year I'll be
braver and paint a little leprechaun.
What do you guys think of this
nail art? Do you celebrate St Patrick's day?
Have a wonderful weekend my loves,
thank you for stopping by! I'll catch you again on Monday for some
more nailery fun!
Love,
Ithi

ReplyDeleteThe gradient result looks cooler than most green versions I saw. Congratulations, you just made three fans, the kids and I! Great job!
ReplyDeletegreat job on your nails! the design is so festive and fun!
ReplyDeleteI never thought that dark green shade nailpaints can also be used so lavishly to deck up nail. You are such a talented nail artist that you proved so easily that even dark green can be cool for nail art too...😍
ReplyDeleteHmmm... is there a reason why you keep the rainbow shamrock nails matt while the rest in metallic green? I thought if all nails in glittery green will be pretty cool!
