Freehand Pants Bear

Allo polish Pals,

How are you all doing today? I hope you had an awesome weekend. Did you get up to anything exciting? I had a fairly quiet one, I got a new shirt for Tuesdays interview, spent time with my family and got a bunch of editing done. Quiet and cosy, it felt good.

Also a huge congratulations to Vanessa who won my international giveaway!

Today's nail art is pretty pants..

Pants bear, Pants bear,
letting it all hang out, all his bits freshening in the air,
Shaking that booty all around, shake it here, shake it there.
Put on a proud display, little Pants bear,
Don't worry about the moose giving you a stare,
Let the whole world see that you don't give a care.

This nail art was actually painted while I was still in Holland.. I know, so old, haha. I think I may still have one more nail art design from before I moved home... and actually, I think I may have worked out I am now post-organised into the new year, I just have a few gaps to fill here and there. I told you I was organised!

My old nail shape... I prefer my almond-y shape so much better now.

Little pants bear was actually inspired by a bottle of wardrobe/closet spray to make your clothes smell nice.. the bear on the front had the exact same post and to me, it really looked like a pair of underpants in his hand would have suited his care free look. Inspiration is everywhere, yo.

I believe for this manicure I used my OPI Nail Envy base coat (always!) and used two coats of Barry M's 'White' nail polish for a nice clean canvas to work on. Everything else was created with acrylic paints and sealed with two coats of Pro-FX top coat (How I miss thee) and eventually I added a matte top coat which looked perfect for this design.

What do you guys think of my pants bear? Do you ever get inspiration from random items in your house?

Thank you so much for visiting, I hope you have a truly awesome Monday, may it be the start of a great week for you!

I'll catch you all again on Wednesday for a really mixed review.

Love
Ithi

  1. Your bear looks so happy, waving his underpants... a great way to start my Monday with a smile :D
I don't think items in my house really inspire me, but on occasion my eye is caught by a color combination on a flyer or something like that and I use that as a starting point. Does that count?

    1. Aww yes, Joyce! He's a vision of happiness, isn't he?! I'm glad he gave you a smile! Of course that counts, your colour combinations are a work of art. I have no skill in pairing colours the way you do, I am always in awe!

    1. Thank you Sharonoox, I think the more you practice the easier it becomes. I break everything down into shapes when I paint. Its a bit like trying to do a line, instead of trying the whole thing do little bits. For lines I sometimes make dots and line them up if I am not feeling confident to do the whole line in one go ;)
