Allo polish Pals!
How are you all doing
today? Do you have anything fun planned this weekend - last minute Christmas shopping or other plans? I don't feel very ready at all but I am really excited. I'm waiting for a few last gifts to arrive so I'm guessing all my wrapping will be done at the last minute; My dad usually then dumps a bunch of stuff he needs wrapped for my mum on me on Christmas Eve but I love gift wrapping! We always blitz the house too, I don't know why but my mum goes on an epic cleaning mission just before Christmas!
Today I have some very
Christmas-y water decals to share with you. These are 'White XmasSnowflake Water Decals' from The Born Pretty Store.
This sheet of delicate
water decals contains around 64 separate snowflakes in varying shapes
and styles and 8 reindeer shaped decals in two different sizes. It is very
easy to cut these out indiviually or as a strip. These decals leave a lot
of creative wiggle room as you can apply them in many ways. Scatter
them around the nails as I have or form a pattern. They look really
cute with gradients and glitter as the white is very opaque and stand
out very well depending on what colours you pair them with. I've seen
them with many blue polishes which looks stunning, Sadly for me I was
on a blue-ban for this post as I've been over using blues!
For this manicure I
began by using my regular base coat of OPI's 'Nail Envy' and once dry
applied OPI's 'Kiss Me – Or Elf!'. I created a glitter gradient by
adding Essence's 'Time For Romance' on the tips of my nails. This
glitter polish has specks of beautiful holo ~ but do you think my
camera wants to share that? Hopefully I can fix these problems soon..
anyway! Next I applied my snowflake decals on top with the usual
method. First I removed the clear protective plastic and cut my
decals into individual pieces ready to application. I grabbed a
single snowflake with my tweezers and submerged it under water for
around 30 seconds. I then used the edge of my tweezers to slide the
decal off of the paper backing and applied it to my desired position.
Finally I used my Catrice gel effect top coat to seal it all in.
What do you
think of these cute little snowflake and reindeer decals? Have you
worn any snowflake nail art this year?
Have a wonderful
weekend,
Love

ReplyDeleteThat is one amazing and out of the ordinary mani. I was curious as to why you didn't chose blue, but i saw you're on a blue ban :)) You are hilarious :)) The mani looks even more sophisticated like this. I will have to get myself those cute water decals as well. Kisses :*
