Sensationail's Glitter Bomb Gel Polish Review

*PressSample* This post contains an item(s) that was provided for reviewing purposes however I will as always give my full and honest opinion.

Allo polish Pals!

How're you all doing today? I hope you had an awesome weekend! I had another quiet one, I got Netflix recently which has proven to be rather deadly, I started watching 'The Good Place' which I am rather enjoying as it's something a little more comical and light hearted. I also used to love Friends and since I've seen the episodes many times (thanks to all the TV repeats) its been rather nice to put on while I am painting.

Today I'd like to say a big thank you to Nara from Sparkly Pr. She is such a gem for allowing me to review three of the latest collection of SensatioNail gel polishes. These are from the 'Glitter Bomb' range – how awesome does that sound?!

First up we have Triple Twinkle.

I was surprised when I first went to apply this polish as I had assumed from the image on the bottle that it would be a nude shade laced with glitters however it is a clear based polish and still very beautiful. You'll find red/copper gold and purple sparkles in this polish make it a very unique and pretty topper to your nail polishes shades. I also photographed this one on top of Orly's 'Faux Pearl' to see how it would look on top of a light shade.

Fuchsia Fireworks

Next up we have Fuchsia Fireworks, unlike the other two polishes I'm showing today this one does have a coloured base however it is a gelly so it does appear very sheer. I layered up two coats and sealed using my NeoNail lamp for 30 seconds each time. While I really like this polish I just don't feel like it suits me. On the other hand it does look incredibly glossy and juicy and reminds me a little watermelon – yum!

Periwinkle Pixiedust.

This one is again a clear based glitter making it ideal to be worn alone or over your favourite nail polishes. As the name suggests it is a delicate cornflower blue and contains only one shade of glitter. I am wearing two coats in these photographs.

Conclusion? While I am not usually the biggest fan of clear based polishes I really like these, I feel like they will make great additions to special occasion manicures, I am thinking that Triple Twinkle would look stunning over a indigo type shade. They are really easy too apply and I had absolutely no issues with application. They each dried perfectly with my 30 second curing function and each had a beautiful glossy shine. If you need a little sparkle in your life these are for you!

Thank you so much for visiting today, I hope you have an awesome day! I'll catch you again on Wednesday for another freehand nail art party!

Love,
Ithi

  1. How easily does it come off? I've always liked glitter polish but hate how difficult it is to take off with remover.

    1. Hi Amy-Lynn! I wore this on top of a peel off base coat which means it was super easy to remove, I apply a little cuticle oil to my nails and use an orange stick to gently push the polish off of the nail bed. If I wore this with a UV base it would be more time consuming and require filing and soaking.x

  6. Ooooo I love the Periwinkle Pixiedust Ithi. It's stunning and it's got so many glittery bits inside. All the ones we've used before are more polish than glitter and you have to have so many layers before you get the effect.

  7. You know Netflix really is addictive over the weekends. I love your glittery nail polish looks though generally I don't like glitter.

  10. To be honest I am not a fan of this kind of glitter on my nails. Whilst I would wear the blue, I'm not sure that I would the other colors. I think they are a bit too sparkly for me. :)
