Allo polish Pals!
How are you all doing today, I hope
your week has been awesome. Are you looking forward to doing anything
fun this weekend? Today is my last day working this week so I am
looking forward to two days of family time, painting and working out.
Today's nail art is actually one I did
last year. I loved the idea of what I did but I didn't like the
execution nor the way my nails were looking. After months of pushing
this design back in favour of better ones I finally decided to redo
it but I'll show you the original one too.
The Original Version I never wanted to post..
For this design I began with my trusty
Nail Envy base coat by OPI, this was dry in a matter of minutes and I
then proceeded with two coats of ORLY's 'Good Karma' from the
Breathable range. I again allowed a couple minutes to dry and applied
a thin coat of my Pro-FX top coat – a perfect base for my acrylic
paints. Using various shades of green I created the palm leaves using
my Pure Color brush in size 10 and used pink and gold shades to add
accents to each nail. I sealed the whole design in with another lick
of Pro-FX top coat and eventually added my Barry M matte top coat.
I am much happier with how this design
turned out the second time, my nubby nails from the first attempt
didn't really do it any favours at all in my opinion, what do you
think?
Do you like tropical themes?
Would you have palm leave nails?
Thank you so much for visiting, have an
amazing weekend and do let me know what shinanigan's you'll be
getting up to. I'll see you again on Monday!
Love,
Ithi
Lovely design! So into summer already! Perfect for beach holiday!
ReplyDeleteYou have great talent and sense for nail editing. This design is beautiful, reminds me of the summer party's and the sea.
ReplyDeleteHugs and kisses from DD's blog
What a beautiful set of nails! Would be perfect for our upcoming trip to Florida.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THIS DESIGN! I think I might like it better with a different outline color, but the palms with the blue background is tooo cute! Saving this for sure!
ReplyDeleteNow this design is awesome and different from what I see around. Great creativity and lovely job.
ReplyDeleteWow! I love this design! I can't believe you were able to do that!! So talented!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great design! You did a great job and this is giving me major summer vibes :D

That design is incredible and perfect to get anyone in the holiday mood. Very talented!
ReplyDeleteNewer version is definitely amazing one but older version too is lovely! What an improvement! <3
ReplyDeleteI like how these nails has a thin liner which make it quite special. Really fascinated at your work every week. Love the dark blue theme.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a yes. Palm leaves are one of those comfortable sides of nature and I really appreciate seeing them in art . I just love what you did here, I don't even know how to make something as beautiful as your original design!
ReplyDeleteI love these nails Ithi! I really like tropical themes. I think your old design is very nice too, I do prefer your current nail shape though. (btw, I just asked my hubby to get me some OPI Nail Envy from his trip! here OPI has indecent prices 25 dollars per bottle, *gasp* he saw OPI at 8$ in a store in Canada and asked me "you want something?" aaahhaha, what a question, of course!! lol)
ReplyDeleteThe design is very pretty and I am so impressed by the amount of details those palm leaves have! The only thing that I would change is that pink outline, i think it would look better if it was yellow.
ReplyDeleteOooh I absolutely love this one, it screams summer and you have done a really great job!
ReplyDeleteThat is a super cool design. You are so talented. Personally I am a fan of the square oval shape, even though I know it's a little dated. But your nails look really neat!
ReplyDeleteThis is super duper awesome, and really creative, I love how neat it looks too.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the matte finish! These would be great for a cruise or tropical vacation!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely loving this, navy blue with palm leaves looks really amazing. I like the touch of pink too, looks so vibrant. I hope you had an amazing time with family. You really did a great job :)
ReplyDeleteAha your summer holiday is ready. Creative and love the pop of pink on the sides. It makes it even more interesting.
