10ml Holographic Star Moon Sequins Gel Bling Soak Off Manicure Nail Art UV Gel Polish - Born Pretty Store Review

*PressSample* This post contains an item(s) that was provided for reviewing purposes however I will as always give my full and honest opinion.

Allo polish Pals!

How are you all doing today? Welcome to September!
What's it like where you are, does it feel like summer has come to an end? I'm hoping it will be nice this weekend as we have a picnic planned with my niece, nephew, sister and mum. Its so nice being able to do so much with them! Its something I missed deeply. My heart is happy.

Today I am reviewing a gel polish from the Born Pretty Store, this is'10ml Born Pretty Store Holographic Star Moon Sequins Gel Bling Soak Off Manicure Nail Art UV Gel Polish' - looong names. Let's take a look, shall we?

This was another of those polishes (like the magnetic cat's eye) which comes in a white bottle – there's no giving away how this polish could possibly look on nails. I kinda like the surprise, actually. The bottle is a generous 10ml which means its a full sized bottle and you will get plenty of use from it.

This gel polish is a semi transparent turquoise/blue jelly with scattered holographic sequins and moon shapes. The holographic pieces are highly reflective and once I had applied my top coat this polish danced on my nails. It is incredibly eye catching and rather satisfying to look at. I received so many compliments while wearing it!

Because its a gel and I don't like to have gel polish on my nails for too long (I'm not wearing for longevity, I paint too often!) I applied a my NYC peel off base coat before applying it. I allowed time for my peel off base to turn transparent and once dry applied two coats of this glittery, bluey goodness. I cured each coat under my lamp for a few seconds before finishing up with my Born Pretty Store Gel top coat.

Conclusion? I'm really happy with this polish, I've had some regular polishes with stars and moon shapes before however they didn't sit so flat or smooth as this gel polish. I think the gel encapsulates the glitter beautifully and really show cases their holographic effect. Overall I really like it and I can see some nail art designs using this polish in the future!

I know some of you are put off at the idea of using gel polishes but I hope by showing you my experiences I can show you its not that difficult and also not as scary as it may seem.

What do you think of this glitter bomb nail polish? Have you tried gel polishes yet?

Thank you so much for stopping by! I'll catch you again on Monday for some more freehand nail art. Have a fantastic weekend, my loves!

Love,
Ithi

  1. Ooh, this looks pretty! I'm not really big on shaped glitters but I can pick those out if needed and the remaining glitters look like beautiful mermaid scales. Yep, I can definitely see me wearing this :)

It's definitely the end of summer of here. It's about 18 degrees C outside but it's sunny so I would call it a lovely autumn day. Keeping my fingers crossed it's a bit warmer where you are so you can enjoy your picnic without scarfs, blankets and mittens ;)
