Allo
polish Pals!
How are
you all doing today? I hope your week kicked off to a good start.
I can
tell you mine feels like it started in reverse but I'm getting it
back on track. I realise late nights really don't suit me and here
our weekends tend to be a little later. So earlier to bed for me this
week! I must sound SO old, baha.
In other news.. I want to do that nail course so badly! I can't apply yet until I've had my new passport arrives. Argh, killing me, come on, come on, come on! Then I'll have to go to an interview, fingers crossed its not already booked up.
One Coat. |
This nail
polish is your typical silver holographic nail polish, we all know
what these look like. It is a pretty rainbow in the bottle but
application soon turned around my opinion, not in either a good or
bad way. This polish is so thin that I am dubbing it a doubler. I
think due to sheer it is it could actually work as a decent topper to
add a little holo without having full opacity.
To get
this polish as I had expected it to be I had to apply three coats and
even then perhaps a fourth might have given me the finish I desired.
However this polish does have a fantastic dry time – Something we
would expect from how thin the consistency is.
Personally
I don't think I would wear this again as a polish but I will probably
find myself using it on top of my nail art to give a delicate effect.
Final
Thoughts? I really like it but if you are expecting a super
strong linear holographic effect this one might not be right for you
- unless you are willing to keep building the coats. A+ For adding a
delicate holographic scattering of magic on top of your designs.
What
do you guys think of this nail polish? Would you invest in this
one?
Have a
beautiful day my friends, thank you for stopping by. I'll catch you
again on Saturday for some more freehand nail art.
Love,
Ithi
This looks pretty! I probably wouldn't invest in it myself but that's because I have a lot of holo toppers already so I don't need it.
ReplyDeleteHow long until your new passport arrives? I'm keeping everything crossed (including cutlery, pens and even brushes) everything is going to work out for your training!
It looks more like a holo topper indeed. I mean it's pretty like a holo polish but it seems sheer with one coat.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame it's so sheer :/ But, as you said, it's great as a topper :)
ReplyDeletenot a big fan of sheer polishes ...they always need a base for them to work.
ReplyDeleteThis looks stunning for the holo topper :) Shame its so sheer :(
ReplyDeleteYes, it is definitely a holo topper. I like it!
ReplyDeleteHi sweetie! It is very pretty this my dance, the one I tried has quite a large drying time, maybe the formulation is different. Smuack
ReplyDeleteSoooo pretty!
ReplyDeleteI am not a big fan of sheer and silver holos but as you said it's good for some nailart. :-)
