Allo polish Pals!
How are you all doing today? I hope you've had an epic week - tell me did anything interesting happen to you? OH the stories I could tell from this week.. lets not go there right now though!
We had a few new fragrances come into work so I've been testing everything, getting to know the notes in each perfume and doing my homework so I can advise customers as best as possible.

Today's nail art was inspired by the
concept of art within art. For that I painted what can be used to
make art and also a miniature painting in a frame. Good job I've got
a steady hand as painting within the space of the picture was pretty
small and fiddly!
You'll notice I am using a black background for these pictures, this nail art was done towards the start of the year but I kept postponing it :)

I'd just like to say I'm sorry for the
picture quality, I created this design shortly after I had my new
camera and I wasn't quite so savvy with it then!
I created this manicure by starting
with a coat of my OPI Nail Envy base coat. After a minute or so when
my base coat was dry I then proceeded with two generous coats of
ORLY's 'White Tips' – hands down my favourite white nail polish for
nail art. I applied a thin coat of Pro-FX top coat to create a nice
slick layer for my acrylic paints to adhere to and began my freehand
design. For the details in this design I used my trusty Pure Color
brush in size 10. Finally I sealed the design in with two more coats
of top coat and eventually added my Barry M matte top coat on top for
a nice smooth, even finish.
What do you guys think of this
design? If you had to paint a theme onto your nails what hobby would
you pick to suit yourself?
Thank you so much for stopping by
today. I hope you will come and leave your thoughts in the comments,
I always love to know what you think. Have a wonderful weekend, I'll
catch you again on Monday!
Love,
Ithi
This is pretty! I love nails with a white base and colorful designs on it.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to paint a theme on my nails... I would probably end up with bare nails as I still can't freehand anything ;)
So pretty and those color spills look three dimensional which I love a lot!
ReplyDeleteI've been on such an artistic streak lately, I think I should attempt these nails on myself! I love the little palette you painted on. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! You are really talented, I have a friend who is also great at her painting her names. I have trouble even perfecting a solid coat in any colour. My 3 year old does a better job! I'm a horticulturist so there isn't much point doing my nails as they are always covered in dirt. But, I do love a great french manicure when I need to get dolled up every couple of years.
ReplyDeleteNail design looks great. I admire you for your patience, precision and talent for drawing.
ReplyDeleteHugs and kisses, DD's blog
These are so beautiful! My mom used to do designs like this for my sister and I when we were young! I don't grow mine out or get them done often enough but I love getting tropical stuff too.
ReplyDeleteSo spring appropriate, even more like summer already! You paint so beautifully!
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely loving this nail art! I am just back from holiday and already dreaming of going back and this little frame with a palm tree is adorable!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful nail art.Ideal for the spring and summer.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely what I want for my next spring vacation . I loved the one with palm tree the most. It already made me feel that I am relaxing in a beach .
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool idea! I can barely paint my nails properly and that is why I really appreciate those who can do such intricate nail art :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful nail art, it is reminding me of my last beach vacation. Love the details, and the colors are just perfect.
ReplyDeleteYou are truly talented!! There is so much detail in those designs!
ReplyDeleteNice nails art. I like turtles creativity and the beautiful pictures .
ReplyDeleteThose are so beautiful! They'd be wasted on me though as I'm far too active (and clumsy) with my hands - they'd be destroyed in minutes!
ReplyDeleteI really like the concept of this nail art, it describes art within art perfectly and as always you have done a really fantastic job. Well done :)
ReplyDeleteThis is art within art, it's beautiful! You're so creative, I could never do something like this on my nails. Your nails are also a beautiful shape x
ReplyDeleteHere I am... RAGING every time I smudge my nails. What you do takes so much talent and concentration. I love the theme of this nail art. I would sport that look in the summer months.
ReplyDeleteWow! You really nailed it girl! I wish i could be as good as you. I really dont have talent in this kind of heart.
