Freehand Gingerbread Man Nail art

Allo polish Pals!

How ya all doing? I hope you had an epic weekend, did anything fun happen? Do let me know, I love to hear about you guys :)

I've had a quiet one which is actually a good thing because it means I can crack on with painting, organising my posts and making sure everything is nicely set up for the week while I am working. I like knowing I have things ticked off and all ready to roll. I also had some time to work out which is something I hadn't done since I started my new job...oppsie.

Today's nail art is inspired by the current theme over on Tiny Canvas – I love taking part in the weekly challenges and I had barely missed a single prompt up until last month.. I was good at making these designs in advance but since starting work its a little less easy.. still! I've done this one, our theme was Gingerbread man.

Oh Gingey, Gingey, Gingey..
It looks like you've got yourself in a spot of bother, eh? Are you sure that diamond belongs to you?.. Yes? Really? So why is there a police car hot on your tail crumbs?? I don't think Santa will be coming to you this year.

I had fun thinking up this idea and painting it. I've done gingerbread men before so I really wanted to do something a little different and you know I love nails that tell their own little story.

For this manicure I began with a white nail polish for my starting canvas and used acrylic paints for the nail art. The brush I used the most for this design is the Dance 20 from WhatsUpNails. When I'd completed my design I sealed it all in with two layers of top coat and eventually my Barry M matte top coat for a beautiful smooth finish.

What do you guys think of this nail art? What would you like to see me paint in the future?

Thank you so much for visiting, have an amazing start to your week! I'll catch you again on Wednesday for some more nail art fun!

Love,
Ithi

  2. Nooooooo how do you do it Ithi. I was just chatting with a friend of mine this weekend who's opened a Tammy Hansen salon and I was raving about your miniature nail art. Seriously, this is probably the 100th time I'm going to say this, but you are sooooooooooooooooooo talented.

  4. I really love how you've created a story on your nails. Poor gingerbread man, he is such a thief and by the look on his face, he is regretting it, haha :) Great work!

  14. Balancing your job and blog can be difficult at times. Around October, I wrote out some ideas for upcoming blogs through the holidays and even a couple for January & February. It helps me to keep track of what I want to write about. I think I’m going to try doing this more with social media posts. I really like this nail art a lot! I love the story that it tells.

  15. I'm so impressed that you created these yourself! I can barely paint my nails with one color, much less creating designs. Great job!
