Born Pretty Silver Magnetic Polish & Cute Animal Water Decals - Born Pretty Store Review

*PressSample* This post contains an item(s) that was provided for reviewing purposes however I will as always give my full and honest opinion.

Allo polish Pals!

I hope you are all doing great today?

I had an awesome weekend, it was my nieces 7th birthday so we popped round for a tea party on Saturday afternoon, in the evening our town had it's annual carnival so we all watched that followed by some cheeky fish and chips from the local chippy (rare treat!)

Prepare yourself for a whole load of pictures!

First off we have the magnetic gel polish, this one comes in a generous 10ml bottle so there is plent of polish to play with. This one is pretty much the silver version of the last one I reviewed however I find the coverage of this polish to be much more sheer, I ended up with at least three coats which made my nails look incredibly thick. It also have a tendency to shrink around the free edge which makes them look semi transparent. I'm not digging that look. I would suggest this one should be worn over a black nail polish base for full effect. I had hoped this one would have a scatter of holo like the gold one I review but alas.. It did not. My over all thoughts? I don't like it as much as the gold one but if I stop comparing.. Its not on my favourites list. A little holo would have been cute and I don't like how sheer it is. Sure you can build up layers but you'll end up with thick looking nails.

When I saw this set of decals I thought they were so cute. I picked them mainly for the bunny and cat water decals – I hadn't realised I would be getting a set of four. They were all easy to apply, I had no issues with any of these. While I still really like the bunny nail art and I do like the cats I am not sure a full set of cat nails is my thing. Its a b
it too 'crazy cat lady' – which we all know I am but my nails don't really need to advertise that. Out of both the cat decals I prefer the non dressed cats design, with a matte top coat on top they almost look like little paintings!

What do you guys think about these nail art items? Would you go full cat-manicure?

Thank you so much for visiting, have a wonderful day and I'll catch you on Wednesday for some really...'interesting' 3D nail art!

Love,
Ithi

  8. Ahhhh I'm loving those cat decals Ithfifi. They appeal to this crazy cat lady big time but I was just wondering. Perhaps if the background was clear instead of white, maybe they would be less in your face. Anways, hope you have a lovely week

  16. The decals are so cute, especially the cat ones (cat lover over here!). I quite like the color of the nail polish but if you say you need at least 3 layers and that it makes your nails look thick I don't think I would go for it.

  17. Boo on that polish, even though it's a lovely colors.
The cats made me chuckle but no, definitely not a look for me ;)
One thing that caught my eye though... how did you do the other nails for the manicure with the white bunny decals? Is that dry brush or something else that looks great?

  20. Hmmmm that shrinking issue is little bit tough to manage but however that's an ok polish. As you said some Holo glitter might have helped it to look bit glamorous. Those decals are really very pretty. I like them.
