My Love-Story Nails!

Allo polish Pals!
How have you been? Today's post is going to be a little different as my manicure is inspired by love so I'll be including a background story as to why I felt it was important to do something 'lovey'. I also figured that its about time I stop calling my Partner my 'Partner' so I'll be referring to him now as Mr Bravo (Johnny Bravo) which seems cute.

This time last year I began speaking to a wonderful man I met on facebook. I had had him on my friends list two years before we actually ever exchanged words; I honestly wish I had been plucky enough to talk to him sooner because I had met the kindest man I've ever met. When my father had his heart attack he was there for me in every possible way despite us being in different countries. It was this time last year I was wishing him Happy Birthday on Skype. I could never have imagined that by December I would have boarded the plane for my first ever trip abroad alone to Holland when I would finally meet him. Everything was fantastic and if you have been following me for a while you'll know that when I was supposed to return back to England for Christmas I didn't, I stayed longer. Finally it was time for me to return home and it was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I knew that when I next saw him I could not leave him at the airport. When I returned back to Holland I officially stayed. Now it is one year on and I am the happiest I have ever been in my life.

I can not thank my Partner enough for all he has done for me.

Now onto the manicure! I started off with two coats of Barry M's 'Baby Pink' and applied a generous coat of Barry M's 'Rose Quartz' glitter on top. Using W7's Black I used the brush to carefully make abstract heart shapes. I did the same in the centre of the hearts using the gorgeous metallic pinky-red from Sinful Colors 'Dancing Nails' (A gift from Mr Bravo that seemed to suit perfectly!) I used a small dotting tool for the dots and little black hearts and finished off with Model's Own Pro Matte topcoat. I'm not the happiest with these nails I've ever been but my love nails where so important to me I kept starting and restarting over.
Back in December! I just thought this was cute. Excuse the chipping!
What do you think of this manicure? Have you ever been inspired to create love nails for someone special?

Enjoy the rest of your day!
Love

  3. Your mani is cute (so cute!) but your love story is even cuter! I am very happy for you and hope you will stay happy forever! I haven't done a "love mani" yet but I sometimes chose a red or dark nail polish because I know my husband loves it.

  4. The cutest love story ever! <3 It's weird some time how life turns out, we never now in advance what will happens or how the future will be.
I really liked this nail art and how smart you've made the hearts, I haven't seen that before. :D
