How are you all doing today? I hope you
had a fantastic weekend.
I worked on Saturday and enjoyed a nice chilled Sunday with my family - although I felt quite unwell so no painting for me but I used the day to get myself organised in every way –
a bit of cleaning and sorting, sorting out my outfit for work
today, getting posts edited and organised, make up brushes washed
and so on. I did get to have a delicious roast lunch though!
I had a very odd customer interaction
which I'll tell you about. I work in fragrance and
cosmetics so this response really threw me..
Me: “Hi there, do you need any help
at all?”
Male Customer: “I have a girlfriend!
She's over there, I have one!”
Me: “Uh.. Ok... then..”
What!? No idea.. I just left him to it!
Today's nail art is.. well. A bit
silly, really. This came from a suggestion from my sister and four
year old nephew, they asked if I had ever painted a train before. My
mind started imaging a train with carriages and something sat inside
them. For some reason I painted really tiny, weeny teedy bears – if
you are wondering why they don't have faces my answer is – have you
tried to paint faces on bears that small?! :P
For this design there isn't much more
to tell you than usual. I used my OPI Nail Envy base coat for strong,
long, feisty nails and once dry applied two coats of ORLY's 'White
Tips' for a nice clean canvas. I then used my acrylic paints and a
mixture of brushes to create the design. The brush I used mostly was
my dear Pure Color in size #10. I sealed the design in with a lick of
ORLY's Top2Bottom and eventually added my Barry M matte top coat for
a nice smooth finish.
One thing I am happy about with this design is the smoke coming out of the train, I like how that turned out!
What do you think of this
design? Is there something you'd like to see me paint next?
Thank you so much for visiting today, I
hope you have a wonderful day. I'll catch you again on Wednesday!
Love,
Ithi
What a gorgeous manicure! I love all the details :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a really cute idea! You should ask your nephew for ideas more often! (Not that I don’t love your own creations) I really like the smoke effect too! There’s no way I’d get faces that tiny either!
ReplyDeleteOh my soul Ithi, you would need a microscope to see the little teddy bears faces if you had painted them. The details you added are incredible. I know I sound like a broken record, but you really are so talented. Sending much love and hope you're feeling better
ReplyDeleteI love the "toot toot" train, especially using the red, it is very outstanding from the background, baby blue. I just wonder how do you do it and can you please make a video if possible???
ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderful idea and my son said oh mumma! love this train and can you also draw the same.
ReplyDeleteYou're so ridiculously good at this. The best I can do is spots and lines (which are NEVER straight tor evenly spaced) lol
ReplyDeleteThe scene on this set brings me back to my son's toddler hood when I used to read "The Little Engine that Could" to him. It is sweet, and delightful! The train is a wonderful visual ❤️ I am in awe of your amazing talent. 💕 Xo, Evelyn, PathofPresence.com 🦋

ReplyDeletealso LOL to your customer... maybe he thought you wanted to be his girlfriend, LOL!
I think the male customer might have panicked and been embarrassed to be at the beauty section haha - another great nail art. I love the little bears in the carriages they look like they are having fun!
ReplyDeleteWow!! This is very creative and impressive. I really love how you make realistic all your nail arts.
ReplyDeleteI think the design is super creative and the colors are spring appropriate. Great job there with the details. Love it! :)
