Freehand Sunbathing Bunny Nail Art

Allo polish Pals!

Hi guys, I hope you are all doing well? Happy Hump day to you!
Not much to report from my little world, I'll be working from today til the end of the week - Saturday is the job interview. Fun news, I am looking forward to seeing the new Peter Rabbit movie with my niece, nephew and sister next week, I used to love Beatrix Potter as a child.

What else is new?.. Hmm.. I've been playing with lots of new eyeshadows, my love for colour isn't stopping at my nails!

Today though I am bringing you a little slither of spring on my nails, this little bunny has stepped out of his house to take a little time to enjoy some sun time. Catch those rays little bun-bun, soak up all that vitamin D!

I sort of painted this design without much planning or idea of how I wanted it to look, because of that I am not 100% happy with how my bunny turned out but overall I rather like the idea of it.

For this nail design I began with a coat of my OPI Nail Envy base coat (totally unneeded with my next polish but strong nails, ya know.) I then applied a thin coat of ORLY's 'White Tips' from the Breathable collection for a nice blank canvas to paint on top of. Once dry I moved in with my acrylic paints, creating an acrylic-gradient with bright blue and lighter blue for my sky. I created all the smaller details using my Pure Color brush in size 10. I sealed in the design with ORLY's Top2Bottom base and top coat and eventually added my Barry M matte nail polish on top.

What do you guys think of this design? Has the sun made an appearance for you lately?

Thank you so much for visiting, have a wonderful day and I'll catch you again on Friday!

Love,
Ithi

  18. Oh, I love this! I think my favorite feature is the tree on your thumb but your entire manicure is just too cute :)
We've had some sunny (almost summer-y) days lately but yesterday and today we've had some "mild spring showers" which caused a lot of cellars flooding (we don't have a cellar... phew!!) and other damage, oh, and thunderstorms! Yep, those too. I prefer sunshine though, like your bunny.
