Chocolate Valentines Day Nails

Allo polish Pals!

How are you all did-ling? I hope you had an awesome weekend, did you get up to anything fun? The weather here isn't permitting much outside fun but I had a cosy weekend, I've got stuck into a good book and I kind of can't put it down. Its a bit of a Bridget Jones type thing, very relatable!!

Since I'm not really into the whole Valentine's smoosh I decided to do another sort of.. anti Valentines day manicure. No glitter, no pinks and red and NOPE to heart shape chocolates..

I used my new camera for these pictures, she's taking some getting used to as well as my light backgrounds. I'm not too sure, what do you guys think? I hope they are crisp and sharp.. The focus situation is really odd.

I wish I hadn't done the 'nope' in the style I did, I don't think it looks too good at all but I really didn't feel like starting over..

For this design I used my trust OPI 'Nail Envy' base coat (entirely not needed for ORLY Breathable polishes but old habits 'n' all.) and once dry applied two thin coats of ORLY's 'Almond Milk' as my base. I then proceeded with white acrylic paint, painting the letters of the word love all across my nails. I then added the dripping chocolate and heart shaped chocolates. I sealed the entire design in with my ORLY Glosser top coat and eventually my Barry M matte top coat.

What do you guys think of this manicure? Do you feel Yeeees or noooope about Valentines day?

Thank you so much for visiting today, I'll catch you again on Wednesday for some more nail art fun!

Love,
Ithi

  6. Your photos look good Ithi, except maybe for the last one. That one's a tiny bit blurry, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of your camera soon. I'm really not a big fan of Valentine's Day either, it's so over commercialized. Your nail art says it perfectly - NOPE

  9. I think it's cute :) I'm not into Valentine's day either. I do think the photos look good. New cameras always take some adjustment.

  12. Lovely manicure Ithi! I slightly prefer the glossy version ;)
In total honesty, Valentine's day is a bit indifferent for me (except for manicures, which I really like doing!) but in real life, it isn't a big deal. First of, Valentine's day is not even a thing in my home country. Everyone is celebrating carnival right now! Here in Switzerland it is not a big deal either. But I must admit it is nice to have an "excuse" to slow down and save the date to spend some alone-time with my hubby, which I really look forward to!

  14. Love the dripping effect and the hearts. Lovely manicure as always. Though I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day. All the hoo-haa around it just turns me off.

  17. I really like this nail design. I like the dripping chocolate and the lettering in white. I’m not anti-Valentines, but think it’s pretty commercialized. Besides, February 15th is better because chocolate is on sale! 😆

  18. Haha, you know now that I'm definitely "nope" about Valentine's day... also nope to heart-shaped chocolate (although other shapes are fine by me :D ). I love how soft colours you used - they really have positive vibes, like curling up with a blanket and a cup of tea, they make me feel cosy.
What book are you reading? :)

  19. Love this!!!!
Yep to the chocolate (whatever the shape, chocolate is chocolate after all) but for me personally yep to Valentine's Day as well but without all the commercialism please, a sweet little note is as good or even better than a huge gift ;)
