Star Studs & Chevron Tape - Born Pretty Store Review

*This post contains item(s) that were provided for me to review but as always I will give my full and honest opinion

Allo polish Pals!
How are you today? I've got a double whammy review for two items from the Born Pretty Store today which I've combined into one manicure just because I really like how they work together!
Today I'll be showing you 'Chevron Nail Tape' and '3D Shining Star RhinestoneNail Decorations' I'll be talking about each of these separately so please lets continue on-wards!.. and upwards!...well actually downwards.

Lets start with this chevron tape. I don't wanna go being all dramatic on you guys but... where has this been all my life?! This is practically the same idea as regular striping tape however it is wider and of course features a chevron pattern running through the middle. Fantastic for any of you guys who, like me, want to wear chevron nails without having a nervous break down trying to stamp the damn pattern. I personally am really pleased with this product as its an easy alternative to stamping. I also like that the tape came with the peely end visually obvious so no faffin' around trying to peel the end off. Its easy to extract the chevron stripes to the nail and very easy to remove.  It also comes in a choice of colours. Perfect amount of 'stick' for the job too! I'll be adding this to my striping tape wheel for easy access in the future.

Now onto the Star Studs. These are so cute, aren't they just? These come in varying shapes and styles including some oval, circular and bow ties but it was these stars that really caught my eye. They are 8-pointed golden stars with a beautiful rhinestone sitting in the center. They come in a little baggy of 10 (are you really going to need all 10 for one manicure? - Hey, I'm not judging!) and are totally re-usable. They are approximately 7mm in both height and width – a great size to sit relatively well on the nails. I personally think its a really beautiful touch to any manicure.

Please excuse my index finger, she's still wearing a teabag under her nail art. For this manicure I began by painting all my nails with Essie's 'Fiji' and once dry added two of the star studs to my thumb and ring finger. On my remaining nails I cut strips off of the Chevron tape and applied them to my nail. I used a sponge and gold acrylic paint to dab on top to create a light pink and golden chevron look. I finished it all off with Barry M's top coat.

What do you these of both of these items? Do you like this light pink and gold manicure?

Have a beautiful day!
Love
