Allo polish Pals!
How are you doing today? Are you glad
its the start of the weekend? Have you any exciting plans? Today I
have some festive nail art to share with you! This is for Chinese New
year, the year of the horse! I decided to combine two of my favorite
nail art techniques ~ Freehand acrylic paints and pigment eye
shadows. I just really hope I got the Chinese symbol for horse
correct.. Tomorrow I will be back with a swatch and review.
If you join my facebook page you can vote for which polish you would
like to see next!
And with a matte top coat! Which do you like better? |
On all my nails I started with two
coats off Fearne's 'Cherry On Top' ~ Oh my god. I can't not believe
the shine on this polish, it really reminds me of glazed cherries! I
then took China Glaze's 'Infra-red' and dabbed this on using a
cellophane bag. On top of this I then added a little of my favorite
white-gold pigment. On my thumb, middle and index finger I created
some freehand nail art with black acrylic paint. I also decided to
try this in matte too just for fun.
Do you celebrate Chinese New
Year? Have you created any festive nail art for this holiday?
To those of you celebrating I hope you have/had a wonderful time!
Have a great start to the weekend!
Love

DeleteYay a Fearne polish :). I love what you did with the Chinese New Year theme. The polish looks great as does the added pigment. I love both versions but the glossy really suits this mani xx
ReplyDeleteI really love them now! Thank you Lou, I did the red with the cellophane and just thought something was missing! I have to agree that I like the glossy version best :) xx
DeleteCute! I prefer w/o matte top coat.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Danijela! xx
DeleteThe horse is cute as always! I like the color/pigment combo a lot though I dont' celebrate this holiday.
ReplyDeleteThank you Stadtwaldvogel, I was hoping people would think it looked like a horse since I hadn't drawn one in years! haha :) xx
DeleteWow this is soooo beautiful, great colours.
ReplyDeleteThis saturday it's "Melodifestivalen" our competition here in Sweden to vote for our participant to the Eurovision. So every saturday for 6 weeks there'll be competitons to watch in TV, I loooove it. :-)
Have a great weekend. <3
Thank you Ann-Sofie! :) I didn't know you had contests for Eurovision in Sweden, I know we have something similar in England and maybe here in Holland too. I hope you enjoyed it! :) Have a great weekend also! xx

ReplyDeleteThank you Little Monster! <3
DeleteThis is gorgeous, I love the saran wrap/pigment base! You nailed the "horse" character, and the horse head looks great too!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lucy, I'm so glad you like it and that the horse symbol looks ok, I was worried it may have been the wrong one... I had to rely on google! xx
