Allo polish Pals!
How are you all doing today? I hope
you've had an amazing weekend?
I didn't get up to much at all, I
played around with some new make up I picked up at work, I love
testing products out. I recently switched up my foundation to Bare
Minerals and I am loving it so far. Today and until Tuesday I'll be
spending some time editing posts, creating new designs before I head
back to work on Wednesday.
Did you know that yesterday (Sunday 8th April depending on when you are reading this!) was
'Unicorn day' – no joke. It really exists. I've painted quite a few
unicorn designs in my blogging days so I decided to shake things up a
little by making a zebra-corn!
For this design I went back to the
Breathable range by ORLY – I am so addicted to all of the ORLY
polishes I've reviewed but I felt like the rainbow colours would pop
nicely on something that wasn't stark white.
On my thumb and pinky I began with my
base coat of OPI's Nail Envy and once dry applied two coats of my
ORLY 'White Tips' white nail polish. On my remaining nails I applied
two coats of ORLY's 'Aloe Goodbye!' which I then sparkled up using
Polish Me, Royalty's 'Unicornicopia' – my all time favourite
scattered holo. I applied a thin coat of Pro-FX top coat to all my
nails which is a great top coat to lay down acrylic paints on top of.
On my white nails I created an acrylic
gradient, using rainbow colours of acrylic paint and a brush I
blended each colour into the next, I then took my detailing brush and
white acrylic paint to create the stripes on top.
I used acrylic paints and and my Pure
Color brush in size 10 to create all the details and my zebracorn. I
sealed the design in with another layer of top coat and eventually
added my matte top coat on top (sadly this kills the holo but, ya
know. Try everything! )
What do you think of my Zebracorn? Do
you like unicorns and rainbows?
Thank you so much for visiting, I hope
you have a fantastic day. Don't forget to leave your comments on this
design below. I'll catch you again on Wednesday!
Love,
Ithi
